CHAPTER 111: CHAPTER 111: KILLING_1

Soon, they arrived before a wall. Seeing no one around, they climbed right over.

The intense stench of blood assaulted their nostrils. The lingering aftermath of battle permeated the air.

The once-magnificent City Lord’s Mansion was now riddled with holes, a devastating scene of carnage.

The ground was littered with corpses.

Qin Feiyang and Ling Yunfei advanced in silence, feeling as if they were traversing Asura’s hell.

The main discussion hall had also collapsed, reduced to a pile of rubble.

They entered the ruins and searched for a long time before finally locating the entrance to the secret passage.

The entrance had been sealed by Luo Xiong and his men, presumably in an attempt to trap the City Lord inside to die.

After considerable effort, the pair managed to force the entrance open and leaped inside.

Just as Luo Xiong had described, the secret passage was a complex labyrinth, making it difficult to get one’s bearings.

On the walls, candles were set far apart, casting the passage in an exceedingly dim light.

"What do we do?" Ling Yunfei surveyed his surroundings, somewhat at a loss.

"He might escape others’ pursuit, but he can’t evade the White-Eyed Wolf’s tracking!" Qin Feiyang said with a confident smile.

"White-Eyed Wolf?" Ling Yunfei was taken aback.

Just then, Brother Wolf appeared out of thin air, grinning at Ling Yunfei. "Brother Wolf’s sense of smell is not to be underestimated."

Inside the ancient castle, they could hear sounds from outside, so Brother Wolf knew what needed to be done without Qin Feiyang having to explain.

Ling Yunfei had a moment of realization. "Oh, right! Your nose is sharper than a dog’s."

"A dog’s nose?" Brother Wolf stiffened, then lunged forward and bit Ling Yunfei on the buttocks.

"OUCH!"

"It hurts, it hurts, it hurts!"

"Why did you bite me? Let go!" Ling Yunfei howled, cold sweat drenching him from the pain.

Brother Wolf bit down harder once more before finally releasing his jaw. With a look of disdain, he said, "How long has it been since you bathed? You stink!"

"What?" Ling Yunfei was seething, practically fuming. He bit me and then complained I stank? How can this bastard be so unreasonable? Besides, after being drenched in rain for so long, how could I possibly stink?

"AHEM!" Qin Feiyang suppressed a laugh and coughed dryly. "Stop dawdling. Let’s hurry."

Brother Wolf shot Ling Yunfei a glare and sniffed the air intently.

Qin Feiyang asked, "Can you find him?"

Brother Wolf chuckled slyly. "A mere trifle. Follow Brother Wolf." With a swagger, he headed into a passage on the right.

Qin Feiyang was momentarily surprised, then quickly followed, a wry smile playing on his lips. This guy sure is a character.

Ling Yunfei caught up, asking indignantly, "Has he gone mad?"

Qin Feiyang smiled. "He’s not mad; he just hates it when people compare his nose to a dog’s. I got bitten by him last time for the same reason. You’d better remember that, or next time it won’t be your buttocks he bites."

Ling Yunfei asked, "Then what part?"

Qin Feiyang replied, "Your balls."

"My balls?" Ling Yunfei was stunned. My balls? Does he really mean *those*? But then, he understood. A shiver ran down his spine, and he instinctively clamped his legs together.

Led by Brother Wolf, they ventured deeper into the secret passage.

After what felt like several hundred breaths, a stone door came into view.

Brother Wolf ran up to it, stopped, and sniffed meticulously around the edges.

A moment later, he grinned wickedly. "He’s right behind this stone door."

"Though he’s shameless, that nose of his is really something," Ling Yunfei muttered. If Brother Wolf hadn’t led the way, they would have been hopelessly lost by now.

Qin Feiyang waved his hand. "Stand back!"

The man and the wolf quickly moved aside.

Qin Feiyang took a deep breath, his hand clenching into a fist. True Qi enveloped it, emanating a terrifying aura.

Suddenly, he shot forward like an arrow, unleashing a powerful punch at the stone door!

Meanwhile, behind the stone door lay a stone chamber, five or six meters wide.

In one corner of the chamber, a large pile of Gold Coins was heaped up like a small hill.

Beside the Gold Coins, numerous Qiankun Bags were also stacked.

It was, quite simply, a massive treasure trove.

"Jiang Haotian..."

"Ling Yunfei..."

"Luo Xiong..."

"Lin Liang..."

"Just you wait! Sooner or later, I’ll kill every last one of you..."

"Not a single one will be spared!"

A bone-chilling, murderous voice echoed through the stone chamber.

Following the sound, they saw the City Lord sitting by a stone table in the middle of the chamber. He stared at the flickering candle flame, his face contorted with a savage expression!

BOOM!

Just then, with a deafening crash, the stone door shattered.

"Who is it!" The City Lord sprang to his feet and looked towards the entrance, only to see two men and a wolf striding into the chamber.

"It’s actually you!" The City Lord’s expression changed drastically, his face filled with utter disbelief.

Qin Feiyang, Ling Yunfei, and Brother Wolf scanned the stone chamber, their eyes lighting up at the sight of the pile of Gold Coins and Qiankun Bags!

Qin Feiyang chuckled. "So, this is actually a treasure vault!"

The City Lord growled, "Even Luo Xiong and his men couldn’t find this place. How did you manage to?"

Brother Wolf smirked. "Hehe, naturally, it’s all thanks to Brother Wolf."

"Huh?" The City Lord glanced at Qin Feiyang and Ling Yunfei, then his gaze fixed on Brother Wolf, his eyes wide with astonishment.

Brother Wolf said, "Impressed by Brother Wolf’s handsomeness? Feel like crying and begging to be Brother Wolf’s little follower?"

"You..."

"Could you be... that wolf with Qin Feiyang?" The City Lord asked, utterly incredulous.

"What do you think?" Brother Wolf chuckled mischievously.

The City Lord’s expression shifted. He looked at Qin Feiyang and Ling Yunfei, shouting, "You dare to collude with Qin Feiyang? Aren’t you afraid the Yan King will have your heads?"

"Huh?" Both men were taken aback.

Qin Feiyang shook his head and smiled. "Actually, I am Qin Feiyang."

"What?" The City Lord’s eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets. Jiang Haotian is Qin Feiyang?

"Haha..." Suddenly, he burst into laughter. "You shunned the easy path to heaven and insisted on barging into hell! Since that’s the case, prepare to die!"

"Oh?" Qin Feiyang was again surprised. "Is that so? Then let me try."

As he spoke, he took a step forward. The City Lord’s pupils contracted, and he hastily retreated a step.

"Weren’t you going to kill me? Come on!" Qin Feiyang taunted, taking another step.

The City Lord retreated again, his voice grave. "If you turn around and leave right now, I, the City Lord, might consider letting you off!"

"Why?" Qin Feiyang asked, puzzled.

"Because you’re still young and foolish, prone to making such mistakes. I am also someone who cherishes talent. I can give you a chance to redeem yourself," the City Lord stated, his expression unchanging.

"Go on." Qin Feiyang sat down on a stone stool, crossed his arms, and watched him with amusement.

"I..." The City Lord stammered, unable to string together a sentence for a long moment.

"Keep pretending, why don’t you?"

"What’s wrong? Lost your nerve?"

"Sigh, you truly are pathetic!"

"Let me tell you the truth: the Hall Master has already informed us that your cultivation has been crippled."

"So, you can drop the act of composure," Qin Feiyang said with a faint smile.

The City Lord’s heart plummeted.

Qin Feiyang shook his head and chuckled. "For the sake of that pile of treasure, I’ll leave you an intact corpse. Ling Yunfei, do it!"

Ling Yunfei immediately drew his dagger and stepped forward.

Seeing this, the City Lord turned deathly pale and hurriedly knelt. "Jiang Haotian... No, no, Qin Feiyang, please, spare me! I’ll give you all the treasure here."

Qin Feiyang replied indifferently, "Kill you, and these treasures will be mine anyway."

"Then I’ll be your beast of burden..."

"Your servant..."

"I’ll serve you for life..."

"Though I’m crippled now, I have excellent connections! My value is far greater than Ling Yunfei’s..."

"Since you keep him by your side, you can keep me too..."

The City Lord crawled to Qin Feiyang’s feet, still kneeling, begging pitifully. He had lost all his former dignity.

A glint flashed in Qin Feiyang’s eyes. "Since you put it that way, I’ll give you a chance."

The City Lord was overjoyed. "Thank you..."

A smirk played on Qin Feiyang’s lips. "No need to thank me. In your next life, I’ll definitely keep you by my side to serve me."

The City Lord, who had just breathed a sigh of relief, turned ashen upon hearing these words.

"If you won’t let me live, I won’t let you die comfortably!"

Suddenly, he roared in fury and lunged at Qin Feiyang with incomparable ferocity!

Qin Feiyang sent him flying with a single kick. "You’re not the City Lord you once were," he said flatly. "Now, I can crush you however I please. Understand?"

The City Lord lay half-sprawled on the ground, staring at him with venomous hatred.

Ling Yunfei walked over and sneered, "When you sent assassins after us, you never imagined this day would come, did you!"

The City Lord hastily scrambled to his feet and pleaded again, "Please, just spare me! I’m no longer a threat to you. Just treat me like a dog, have mercy..."

Brother Wolf said with a sly grin, "Well then, bark like a dog a few times for Brother Wolf to hear. If you can amuse Brother Wolf, I’ll do you the favor of taking you in as a little follower."

"You..." The City Lord was incandescent with rage, his eyes turning red. To be humiliated by two former ants was one thing, but now even a mere beast dares to insult me? This is outrageous! How hateful!

"I curse you! May none of you die a good death! None of you..." he shrieked.

He then slammed his head violently against the ground. Blood immediately gushed from the wound!

"I swear, even as a ghost, I won’t let you off..." He lifted his head, his gaze sweeping over the two men and the wolf with pure malice, then smashed his head against the ground again. With a CRUNCH, his skull shattered on the spot.

THUD!

Then, he collapsed to the ground, dead.

For a moment, the stone chamber was deathly silent.

Neither the two men nor the wolf had expected him to kill himself by smashing his head.

How pathetic, yet how despicable!

HUFF! Qin Feiyang let out a long breath and walked towards the pile of treasure.

This hoard of treasure is enough to support my efforts for several years! What an unexpected fortune!

"It’s all Brother Wolf’s! No one touches it!" Brother Wolf roared, drooling with delight. He pounced, landing on the pile of Gold Coins before Qin Feiyang could reach it, his eyes practically sparkling.

Seeing this, Qin Feuyangs expression darkened, and he was about to reprimand him.

But then, as if remembering something, he asked, "White-Eyed Wolf, back when we were at the Bear King’s old lair, why did it seem like the Bear King was a bit wary of you?"

Brother Wolf scoffed. "Nonsense! How could that be? Brother Wolf and he are great pals!"

"Now that you mention it, it did seem a bit fishy," Ling Yunfei said, head bowed in thought. After a moment, a look of realization crossed his face. He looked at Brother Wolf. "I know! You must have been eyeing the Bear King’s treasure."

"’Pah, pah, pah! Don’t think Brother Wolf is that shameless, alright?’" Brother Wolf grumbled, dissatisfied. "’Brother Wolf just wanted to take a peek inside. Who knew he’d be so stingy? He stubbornly refused to let Brother Wolf in and even chased me out!’"

Qin Feiyang’s and Ling Yunfei’s faces twitched.

No doubt, if he had gotten inside, none of the treasures in the treasury would have been safe. For a wolf to reach such a level of shamelessness, he was truly unparalleled.
