CHAPTER 509: CHAPTER 509: PRECIOUS TREASURE_1

"Zhao Wei..."

Zhao Wei...

Qin Feiyang’s eyes flickered.

This man is not only a Seven-star War Emperor, but he also possesses superior auxiliary battle techniques, making him a formidable figure. However, I don’t consider him a threat. So, where does this Zhao Wei stand in Yun State’s Inner Hall? And why are all these people rushing into the depths of the mountain range?

Let’s follow and see.

After a brief thought, Qin Feiyang’s eyes flashed, but before he could take a step, the Image Crystal Stone in his arms buzzed.

Hm?

Qin Feiyang was slightly taken aback. Who would be trying to contact me? The Old Man? Ren Wushuang?

He took out the Image Crystal Stone, hesitating. If it’s the Old Man, I’ll definitely get a scolding.

After some deliberation, he gritted his teeth, entered the castle, and channeled his Battle Intent from his palm into the Image Crystal Stone.

An elderly, translucent figure immediately materialized.

It really is the Old Man!

Furthermore, the Old Man was fuming, his face a mask of fury with his beard bristling and eyes wide.

Qin Feiyang composed himself and asked, baffled, "Old Man, what’s wrong? Who angered you so much?"

"Who?"

The Old Man let out a laugh that was more of a roar of fury. "Get your hide back here immediately!"

Qin Feiyang chuckled awkwardly. "Sorry, but I’m quite busy with something urgent right now and probably can’t return. If you need anything, please just tell me directly."

"Urgent business?"

The Old Man sneered coldly. "Aren’t you in Yun State right now?"

"No!"

Qin Feiyang shook his head, forcing a bitter chuckle. "I don’t even have the coordinates. How could I possibly go to Yun State?"

The Old Man’s voice was grave. "Didn’t Yin Yuanming tell you?"

Qin Feiyang replied helplessly, "With your explicit orders, would he dare tell me?"

The Old Man asked, "Then where are you now?"

"Well..."

Qin Feiyang hesitated, then smiled. "Let’s keep that a secret for now. In any case, I’m not in Yun State, that’s for sure."

The Old Man’s gaze turned icy as he said gravely, "Young man, if I find out you’re lying, you’ll be in for it when you get back."

Qin Feiyang’s pupils contracted. Feigning urgency, he said, "I have to go deal with something. We’ll talk later."

With that, he quickly shut off the Image Crystal Stone.

The Wolf King opened his eyes and chuckled gloatingly, "You’ll definitely be in trouble when you return."

Qin Feiyang suddenly became exasperated. "Why on earth did I ever get involved with a scoundrel like you?"

"That’s what I’ve been wondering too," the Wolf King lamented. "Why did the heavens have me cross paths with a jinx like you? Look, ever since I met you, there’s been no end to the trouble. I really brought this suffering upon myself!"

"I’ll endure it!"

Qin Feiyang took a deep breath and fell into contemplation.

Although this Wolf King is a jerk, he has a point. Right now, the Old Man doesn’t know I’m in Yun State, but there’s no guarantee he won’t come to Yun State to investigate. Even if the Old Man doesn’t come, if I cause some major disturbance in Yun State that reaches his ears, I’ll still be in trouble when I get back. It looks like I need to come up with a plan.

Fatty suggested, "Boss, it’s simple. Just adopt a disguise and change your name. No matter how much chaos you cause in Spirit State, the Old Man won’t find out."

"That’s what I was thinking too."

Qin Feiyang nodded, took out a Shape-shifting Pill, transformed into a frail-looking young man, and changed into coarse linen clothes.

"How do I look?" Qin Feiyang asked Fatty.

"Perfect," Fatty chuckled.

Qin Feiyang asked, "Want to come out with me?"

Fatty thought for a moment, then said, "I’ve been in closed-door cultivation for so long; it’d be good to get some fresh air."

He also took a Shape-shifting Pill, slightly altering his features, but he was still a fatty—if anything, he looked even more shifty than before.

The Wolf King quickly interjected, "Brother wants to go too!"

"No," Qin Feiyang refused flatly.

Are you kidding me? Victory in the Nine States War likely depends on the White-Eyed Wolf. How could I possibly let it go out and mess around? What a waste of time!

The Wolf King immediately leaped up, howling, "If Fatty can go, why can’t Brother go?"

"Sigh!" Qin Feiyang sighed. "You know my ambition. I must win the Nine States War. So, please, just bear with it for now. Once the Nine States War begins, I’ll go wild with you."

The Wolf King raised an eyebrow and flopped weakly onto the ground. "You said it. If you go back on your word then, don’t blame Brother for turning on you."

"Rest assured!"

Qin Feiyang smiled and, along with Fatty, left the ancient castle.

However, as they appeared in the forest, two young men in black robes happened to come running from the trees behind them.

"Who are you?"

"What are you doing here?"

The two men approached Qin Feiyang and Fatty, their expressions openly hostile.

"Oh?"

Fatty sized them up and scoffed, "How dare you yell at Master Fatty? Are you looking for a beating?"

These two were merely Two-star War Emperors. For the current Qin Feiyang and Fatty, crushing them would take no more than a finger.

"Huh?"

Fatty’s sharp retort left the two men somewhat stunned.

Is this fat pig blind? Can’t he see we’re Inner Hall disciples? Daring to act so arrogantly in front of us—who’s really looking for a beating?

Once they recovered, their gazes darkened.

"What, you actually want to fight?" Fatty said, his nose in the air, beckoning to the two with a crooked finger, his provocation blatant. "Come on, come on, Master Fatty will even give you a two-handicap."

"You damn fatty, you’re courting death!"

Enraged, their auras flared as they lunged at Fatty.

"They’re really attacking?" Fatty shook his head, wagging an admonishing finger in the air. "Talk about overestimating yourselves!" His posture was practically begging for a beating.

Qin Feiyang shot him an exasperated look. "Stop fooling around. Subdue them; I have questions."

"Understood."

Fatty chuckled, his hands shooting out, his flabby flesh quivering.

"With a physique like yours, you think you can fight us?"

Since Qin Feiyang and Fatty had both concealed their auras, the two young men in black robes looked at them with disdain. One looks like he’d blow over in a strong wind, and the other is as fat as a pig. How strong could they possibly be?

But the next moment, both were dumbfounded.

Fatty had effortlessly grabbed their wrists. It seemed like he hadn’t used any strength at all, yet no matter how they struggled, they couldn’t break free.

He’s this strong? How is that possible?

Terror and utter disbelief showed on their faces.

Qin Feiyang stepped forward to stand beside Fatty and looked at the two men. "Tell me, what are you doing in this mountain range?"

"You don’t know?"

The two black-robed men were taken aback, then stared at Qin Feiyang and Fatty as if they were monsters.

"Just answer the question. Cut the crap! Are you looking to die?" Fatty drawled, eyeing the two lazily, though a cold glint flickered in his eyes.

"Die?" one of them scoffed. "Are you joking? Do you even know who we are? Let me tell you, we are disciples of the Inner Hall! And you dare threaten us? Such arrogance!"

However, the two were fearless, utterly confident.

Fatty scanned them and sneered, "It seems you won’t be honest unless I get serious."

"You dare try?" one of them challenged. "I guarantee that if you actually dare to make a move, this place will be your grave."

"Is that so? Then Master Fatty will really have to try," Fatty嘿嘿一笑, his fingers suddenly tightening. With two sharp CRACKS, both men’s wrists were crushed on the spot, blood splattering everywhere!

"AHH..."

The two screamed, their faces contorted in agony.

Fatty’s hands shot out again like lightning, clamping around their throats and lifting them into the air. He chuckled. "Believe me now?"

"Bastard!" one of them gasped. "You’ve got some serious guts! Let me tell you, this mountain is crawling with people from our Inner Hall today. If you know what’s good for you, let us go immediately! Otherwise, if we shout, not even gods descending from heaven could save you!" The two men growled, their eyes filled with killing intent.

"That’s simple. We just make it so you can’t shout, right?" A chilling grin spread across Fatty’s face as he tightened his grip.

The two men immediately began to suffocate. They clawed at Fatty’s hands, struggling desperately, a hint of pleading now in their eyes.

Fatty chuckled. "Well? Ready to talk now?"

Both men nodded frantically.

Fatty loosened his grip. "Speak. Why are all the Inner Hall disciples here?"

"Senior Brother Zhao Wei! Intruders! Come save us!" one of the black-robed youths suddenly roared.

His voice was like a great bell, resonating through the sky.

"You’re asking for death!"

Killing intent flared in Fatty’s eyes. His hands tightened violently, and the two men’s faces instantly flushed crimson from suffocation.

"Intruders?"

"Who’s so bold as to barge in here?"

Those patrolling nearby or battling Fierce Beasts immediately began to converge on their location.

「Meanwhile, high in the sky!」

A black figure shot across the sky like a bolt of lightning, his entire being radiating an intense murderous aura.

It was Zhao Wei!

Qin Feiyang scanned the surroundings, his brow furrowing slightly. With a wave of his hand, he brought Fatty and the two men into the ancient castle.

Immediately, Fatty’s fingers constricted, crushing the throat of one of the men. He then turned to the other and said coldly, "Answer us now!"

He really killed him?

Seeing this, the remaining man’s face turned deathly pale. "Okay, okay, I’ll talk, I’ll talk."

From his explanation, Qin Feiyang learned that this was indeed a training exercise.

The Nine States War was approaching, and it wasn’t just Spirit State making preparations; Yun State was as well.

But unlike Spirit State, the Lord of Yun State had sent the Inner Hall disciples out for practical combat experience. On one hand, it was to temper their character and increase their combat experience. On the other hand, it was to ignite everyone’s fighting spirit and competitiveness.

This place was called the Spirit Cloud Mountain Range, and it formed the border between Spirit State and Yun State. The Spirit Cloud Mountain Range was not only densely populated with Fierce Beasts but was also incredibly vast; even a War Ancestor would need several months to cross it. And this was merely the peripheral region.

Furthermore, to prevent disturbances, the Lord of Yun State had personally ordered that, until the training exercise concluded, no one other than Inner Hall disciples was permitted to enter the mountain range. There were even large numbers of guards stationed at the entrance to the Spirit Cloud Mountain Range, precisely to prevent individuals with ulterior motives from sneaking in.

In other words, this place was currently an exclusive training ground for the Inner Hall disciples.

Most importantly, to motivate everyone, the Lord of Yun State had hidden two great treasures within the mountain range. Whoever found them could claim them!
