Immortality Through Array Formations
Chapter 1565 - 829: Plundering (Part 3)
CHAPTER 1565: CHAPTER 829: PLUNDERING (PART 3)
Even the smallest corners weren’t spared.
Hidden chambers and passages were all found, every box and jar was opened.
Even the skull in the basement left by some unknown deceased person was counted to avoid any omission.
The Water Yama and his band of pirates had killed countless people and stolen countless treasures; the cultivation resources accumulated on the island were indeed abundant.
To hide these items, numerous hidden chambers and warehouses were constructed on the island.
Some pirates with ulterior motives even left many secret compartments.
But none of these could fool Mo Hua.
With his Dao Hua-enhanced Divine Sense and keen Perception, Mo Hua found each of these things.
This included a large number of Spirit Stones, Pills, and Spiritual Artifacts, along with some bizarre Evil Artifacts.
However, Mo Hua took none of these.
The Taoist Court’s people risked their lives to wipe out the pirates.
Now Uncle Gu and Xia Canonical Official were still pursuing the Water Yama, so he certainly couldn’t take advantage behind their backs.
Otherwise, it would be unfair to everyone.
Moreover, according to the Taoist Court’s rules, these "stolen items" would be converted into Merit Points and distributed later.
Mo Hua would also get a share.
Every confiscated stolen item meant a settlement of Merit Points, which counted towards him, so there was no need for Mo Hua to take anything now.
Just finding all the hidden items would benefit everyone, as everyone could share the benefits.
However, one exception existed.
That was the Formation Diagram.
Spirit Stones and Pills didn’t matter, but the Formation Diagram was something Mo Hua must take.
As a Formation Master, the more Formation Diagrams, the better.
And on the island, there were quite a few Formation Diagrams.
Especially in Water Yama’s secret chamber, a large number of Formation Diagrams were hidden.
Part of them related to the Eight Trigrams Array, involving formation patterns, formation principles, Formation Pivot structure, Eight Gates’ routes, and location changes among others.
They were much more detailed than what Mo Hua had deduced himself.
Besides these, there were various other Formation Diagrams.
Some were complex, some were simple, ranging from Five Elements to Eight Trigrams, even some obscure minor formations, there was everything.
Presumably, they were all looted by the Water Yama and his gang.
The Water Yama himself wasn’t proficient in Formation, but he likely understood their value, which is why he collected all these Formation Diagrams.
But this turned out to be to Mo Hua’s advantage.
Mo Hua carefully selected, leaving behind some simple, common, easy-to-comprehend Formation Diagrams.
All the rest, which were complex, profound, rare, ones he hadn’t seen before or wasn’t familiar with, he gladly accepted.
The Storage Bag was packed full.
Mo Hua nodded, very satisfied.
He continued to scavenge along the way.
Mo Hua found some more Formation Diagrams, and also discovered some hidden chambers with Spirit Stone treasures, but only one thing puzzled Mo Hua.
The altar was still not found.
"How could there be no altar on this island?"
"It shouldn’t be..."
Mo Hua muttered, frowning.
According to his original idea, as the Water Yama, holding the title of "Venerable," he must have been guarding an Evil God Altar like the Fire Buddha.
The cultivators of the Yu Family water fortress were the "sacrifices" of this altar.
But the island where the Water Yama stationed showed no sign of any altar, nor any trace of "sacrifice."
This was very strange...
"Where exactly is the altar?"
Mo Hua couldn’t fathom it. After a moment, he shook his head.
"Forget it, let’s see if Uncle Gu and Sister Xia catch the Water Yama later and then find a way to ask about the altar..."
He continued to scavenge room by room.
The entire small island had been almost completely scavenged by him, with only a few hidden chambers remaining.
Once the search was finished, he could wrap things up.
But when Mo Hua searched a chamber by the water’s edge, somewhat remote, he found it already occupied.
This person was rummaging through boxes and cupboards, seemingly searching for something.
When he noticed Mo Hua, he suddenly turned his head, a fierce light in his eyes, but upon recognizing Mo Hua, this light faded.
He put on a friendly smile, "Little... Young Master Mo, what brings you here?"
Mo Hua had the same puzzled look, "Brother Xiao, what are you doing here?"
This person’s eyes flickered slightly and then he smiled:
"Pirates are cunning, I came to see if there were any that escaped the net..."
Mo Hua nodded.
"And you? What are you doing here?" the man’s gaze narrowed, quickly asking.
Mo Hua brought up Gu Changhuai, "Uncle Gu asked me to search around to see if there were any hidden stolen goods on the island."
After saying this, Mo Hua looked around cautiously and nervously asked, "Are there any ferocious pirates here?"
"No..."
"That’s good..." Mo Hua obviously breathed a sigh of relief.
After a while of silence inside, the person said:
"I’ve checked, it’s very safe here. You might find some stolen goods if you look further. I have something to attend to, so I won’t accompany you."
Mo Hua also smiled, "Okay, thank you, Brother Xiao."
The person in the chamber smiled kindly at Mo Hua and then got up and left.
After the person left, Mo Hua’s smile gradually faded, revealing a thought-provoking expression.
Xiao Tianquan...
What was he doing in this chamber?
What was he... searching for?
Mo Hua slightly frowned, looked around, and found the chamber to be simple, clean yet empty, easily surveyed with a glance.
He extended his Divine Sense but sensed nothing.
Mo Hua pondered for a moment and then left the chamber.
Just after leaving the chamber, Mo Hua looked up to find Xiao Tianquan not far away.
Xiao Tianquan didn’t seem to have gone far.
Perhaps he pretended to walk far away, but actually didn’t leave.
Seeing Mo Hua emerge, Xiao Tianquan feigned some surprise and smiled, "Young Master Mo, didn’t find anything?"
Mo Hua shook his head, "Nothing at all, so poor, I’ll check elsewhere."
Xiao Tianquan nodded and said, "Okay, be careful, watch out for pirates."
"Mm!"
Mo Hua nodded and left.
After Mo Hua left, Xiao Tianquan’s expression turned blank as he silently watched Mo Hua’s back, his gaze obscure and ever-changing.
As Mo Hua nonchalantly walked away, he vaguely sensed a piercing, chilling presence on his back.
This was killing intent.
"This Xiao Tianquan, has murderous intentions. He wants to kill me..."
Mo Hua’s gaze turned slightly cold.
But it was only killing intent; Xiao Tianquan hadn’t actually made a move.
Behind Mo Hua stood Gu Changhuai, and for some reason, he also had a decent relationship with Xia Canonical Official from the Taoist Court.
Xiao Tianquan’s gaze held caution, quietly hiding his intentions, his face once again donning a subtle smile as he turned to walk in another direction.
However, while passing a corpse of a dead pirate, he drew a longsword and stabbed multiple holes into the body, watching as it became bloody and flesh-torn, blood flowing all over the ground before calmly stopping.
