Immortality Through Array Formations
Chapter 1658 - 858: The Great Foe (Part 3)
CHAPTER 1658: CHAPTER 858: THE GREAT FOE (PART 3)
"Except for that greedy fool who, out of greed, got his neck bitten off by me and turned into a blood zombie, the other Golden Cores are not easy to deal with."
"You, kid, are as sly as a ghost."
"Originally, my yaksha incarnation, which was impervious to sword and spear and immune to fire and water, was enough to wreak havoc everywhere, yet somehow you all found my weak point and wore me out..."
Mr. Witch became increasingly agitated as he spoke, finally sighing:
"There is nothing I can do, but fortunately, the heavens reward those who persevere, and the Divine Lord has blessed me by letting me capture you, kid..."
Mr. Witch looked at Mo Hua with delight, growing happier the more he looked, nodding as he said:
"Indeed, a perfect specimen for a live sacrifice, fresh and tender. The key is your divine sense, which must be immensely profound."
"It was you who broke my Blood Formation. When you set up the Array Formation to trap that Supervisor named Xiao, I saw it too."
"Your formation skills are truly exceptional, and your divine sense is absolutely extraordinary and incredibly flavorful."
"Even though you alone might be a bit scant, I trust the Divine Lord will not hold it against me."
Mo Hua seemed a bit "nervous", keeping a stern face while saying to Mr. Witch:
"I advise you not to sacrifice me, or you’ll regret it."
Mr. Witch laughed: "Since I devoted myself to the Divine Lord, sacrificing my life for Him, I have yet to know how to spell the words ’regret’. "
"Enough," Mr. Witch lost patience, "I have prepared everything, it’s time for you to go. I want to present you as my ’proof of loyalty’ to the Divine Lord."
Without waiting for Mo Hua to say anything, Mr. Witch hoisted him up onto the altar.
Then he lit candles, burned incense, and prayed on his knees:
"O Master of the Great Wilderness, Three Thousand Dominions..."
"With awe-inspiring power, divine might prevails."
"Bearing the blood of the Great Wilderness, honoring your sacred name, your believer shall today offer up an Innate Divine Item, a sacrifice rich in Divine Soul, to You..."
"May the Divine Lord endure eternally, may You soon grace the earth, bringing glory to the world..."
Mr. Witch’s recitation was profoundly devout.
At the same time, an ancient and imposing presence indeed drifted above the altar.
It seemed something was awakening, preparing to savor this "feast."
Mo Hua restrained himself, sitting properly without interrupting Mr. Witch’s prayer.
He feared that if he spoke, he might cause a distraction, making Mr. Witch misspeak and nullify the prayer, wasting all of his efforts.
Mr. Witch finished the prayer smoothly, glanced up at Mo Hua, and said indifferently:
"You’re quite well-behaved."
Mo Hua nodded, then remembered something and asked, "Mr. Witch, earlier you mentioned that the Divine Lord’s ’great adversary’ is about to arrive. How do you know?"
Mr. Witch sneered, full of reverence, "Naturally, through the Divine Lord’s revelation."
"How was it revealed?" Mo Hua inquired further.
Mr. Witch was about to answer but suddenly frowned, "Why do you ask?"
"Oh," Mo Hua replied honestly, "I forgot to mention... it seems your Divine Lord’s great adversary is me."
Mr. Witch was startled, and after a moment, he slowly burst into laughter, then laughed out loud, looking at the weak, bone-chained, lamb-to-the-slaughter Mo Hua, coldly saying:
"Little brother, I didn’t know you had such a sense of humor..."
How could someone so weak be considered the "great adversary" by a noble and mighty Divine Lord?
Mr. Witch continued to sneer.
But as he laughed, he suddenly couldn’t laugh anymore; he finally sensed something was amiss.
All along, he felt as if he was being "orchestrated" by someone.
Why?
And before reaching the maze, why was it that this little brat closed the door after entering?
Why, even though his movement technique was good, did he not dodge or evade?
Why, though he was smart, did he appear scared stiff, unmoving?
Why...
The atmosphere around the altar thickened, and the surrounding blood mist slowly rose, with the ancient resistance gradually resounding, as if ready to drag every divine soul into an unknown realm.
And this sense of discord, at the last moment, finally turned into a terrifying omen.
As the ritual reached its completion, Mr. Witch immediately reached out, intending to pull Mo Hua off the altar.
But he grabbed at nothing.
Though Mo Hua was clearly bound by bone chains and unable to escape along the way, he now effortlessly evaded the grasp and sat calmly on the altar, refusing to leave.
Mr. Witch’s face was pale.
In the next instant, whispers arose.
The blood mist surged completely, enveloping the entire altar.
It devoured and pulled all the divine souls around the altar, drawing them into another space of divine thought.
When the two opened their eyes again, it was still the Blood Pool, still the altar, but everything around had changed.
In the Blood Pool, countless vengeful souls’ ghostly faces roared hideously.
On the altar stood a massive horned statue, awe-inspiring and majestic, as if it were a deity, seemingly wielding immense power.
Now, Mo Hua sat on the altar.
Mr. Witch stood below the altar.
Originally, upon reaching this realm of the Divine Lord, Mr. Witch should have immediately bowed down, slaughtered the divine soul intended as a sacrificial offering, torn it apart, and presented it to the Divine Lord.
But at this moment, his heart and spirit quivered completely.
In front of him, sitting upright on the altar, was a strange little kid.
The appearance indeed had some resemblance to Mo Hua, but the age and physique were smaller, the aura was very obscure, and nothing abnormal could be detected.
But he was a Shaman, believing in deities for years, able to sense that the seemingly young Mo Hua exuded a trace of an aura that made him feel terrified.
This was an aura almost... divine!
Mr. Witch’s heart trembled, almost unable to stand, gritting his teeth, pointing at Mo Hua, "Who exactly are you?"
"No..." He shook his head, pupils contracting, "What exactly are you?"
Mo Hua slightly smiled at him, her voice crisp, saying:
"The path you carried out was well done, next time there’s no need to lead it again."
Mr. Witch’s expression changed wildly.
He finally understood.
Indeed, everything was calculated perfectly!
This little imp hidden among the crowd, leaving no trace, was the real mastermind; from the very beginning, everything he did was to enter the altar.
His target... was the Divine Lord!
He didn’t lie to himself; this little imp was the great adversary of the Divine Lord!
"The great adversary of the Divine Lord..."
After the terror, Mr. Witch slowly stood upright again, his gaze resolute, and his heart surged with endless courage, which was boundless loyalty and fervent belief in the Divine Lord.
"Being the great adversary of the Divine Lord, I shall sever your head, cut off your limbs, gouge out your eyes, extract your heart... and completely dismember you, to offer you to the Divine Lord, proving my loyalty!"
Mr. Witch’s body gradually expanded.
The Evil God of the Great Wilderness endowed him with courage and also with "swelling" divine thought.
He transformed into a yaksha, with an even more robust physique, more indestructible Dragon Scales, sharper claws and teeth, his entire body’s Blood Qi thick as rivers.
Then, without waiting for Mo Hua to react, Mr. Witch’s figure flashed, his massive fist pounded towards Mo Hua.
This punch was imposing, incomparably swift.
But Mo Hua’s small hand merely stretched out, and all the momentum came to an abrupt halt.
This punch could advance no more.
Mr. Witch’s pupils gradually enlarged.
Then, Mo Hua also punched, carrying Golden Light. It seemed extremely slow but was exceedingly fast, giving Mr. Witch no time to react as it hit his chest.
The indestructible Dragon Scales shattered piece by piece.
The cracks gradually expanded, spreading from the chest to the limbs.
And Mr. Witch’s chest was already blasted with a black hole.
With just one punch, vitality extinguished...
Mr. Witch understood, his face turned pale, slowly kneeling on the ground, his voice filled with immense terror and endless regret:
"With the Divine Lord above, I... am guilty..."
"I am gravely guilty!"
"I have caused a catastrophic disaster against the heavens. I have brought about... a terrifying great adversary..."
In the next instant, Mo Hua directly twisted off his neck.
Henceforth, Mr. Witch’s divine soul was entirely annihilated.
