Vishnu caught the blue light orb, and with a flip of his palm, the blue radiance hovered above his hand.
“It comes from Jīnchuáng and Narasimha, their anger and pride!”
“Now that I have extracted it, let it fly towards the sun, and let the stars’ pure light purify it!”
Vishnu flicked his finger.
The sapphire-like brilliance flashed and traversed the void, flying out of Kailash towards the twinkling stars.
The gods had an epiphany.
So the Supreme Lord has returned, and Narasimha has awakened, but what happened in between?
Whoosh!
Whoosh!
Whoosh!
At that moment, Shiva, Brahma, and the Goddess Saraswati appeared before the Devas.
“Praise Mahadeva!”
“Praise Brahma!”
“Praise the Goddess Saraswati!”
The gods and Immortals all bowed their heads, bringing their hands together in salute.
Shiva remained silent, walking forward quietly, and the gods made way until Shiva reached the Adili Immortal.
“Praise Mahadeva!”
“Supreme Lord, my bones are broken, please forgive me for not being able to rise and salute.”
The Adili Immortal lay prostrate on the ground.
He lifted his head, brought his hands together, and his eyes had a hint of sorrow, saddened by the fact that he could not rise to salute the Supreme Lord.
“Adili Immortal!”
“You were wounded in the defense of Kailash; I will Bestow Blessing upon you, a blessing that your bones will be unbreakable forever.”
Shiva smiled, raising his right hand.
Whoosh!
Beams of golden light shot out from Shiva’s hand immediately, landing on the Adili Immortal.
The golden light was dazzling, merging into the body of the Adili Immortal.
The Adili Immortal’s eyes brightened, and he suddenly got up with surprise, stomping his foot joyfully.
“Praise Mahadeva!”
The Adili Immortal exclaimed with joy.
Witnessing this scene, Indra’s heart stirred, he raised his Vajra Pestle to take a look and then glanced at the Adili Immortal in the distance.
Huh?!
This Adili Immortal, isn’t he the future weapon, the Bone Lord?!
Indra blinked.
If his memory served him right, the future Heavenly Emperor, under the influence of Sani, the god of retribution, offended the Ritual Master Immortal.
The Ritual Master Immortal no longer served as the Devas’ mentor.
Vishvakarman’s son, the Immortal with Many Aspects, briefly took the Devas’ mentor’s role; however, he favored the Asuras, secretly handing over the power that the gods had offered in sacrifices to the Asuras.
This was discovered by Indra.
In a fit of rage, Indra slew the Immortal with Many Aspects with a single stroke.
Vishvakarman, in deep grief, brought the demon Vritra back to life in a fit of rage.
Vritra was already powerful and, after undergoing arduous cultivation, gained immense strength, along with blessings that granted him the ability to be unslain by any weapon, revive, and more.
Vritra not only defeated the Devas but also sought to devour everything.
In the end, to combat Vritra, the gods requested that the Adili Immortal use his bones to forge a divine artifact, remaking the Vajra Pestle.
Only then did they defeat Vritra.
“The god of retribution, Sani, is the son of the Sun God, which makes him the grandson of the craftsman god Vishvakarman; the Immortal with Many Aspects is the son of the craftsman god,” Indra mused.
“Looking at it this way, although it was Sani’s fault, Sani, this mischievous nephew, got his uncle killed!”
“Wait a minute!”
“Sani is not the birth son of the Cloud Deity but was born from the Cloud Deity’s shadow and has always been dissatisfied with the Sun God and his consort.”
“Could all this have been orchestrated deliberately by Sani?!”
Indra thought more and more.
He shook his head, pushing these thoughts to the back of his mind.
These things all belonged to the future.
Sani might still be a little brat!
Besides, he certainly would not cause trouble now; if worst came to worst, he could retreat into asceticism, and the god of retribution, Sani, would have no power over him.
Indra glanced at the Adili Immortal.
“He wouldn’t let anyone make such a needless sacrifice, after all, if something went wrong, the Three Aspects Deity would take the fall.
One must still flee when necessary.”
Indra pondered.
Narasimha brought his hands together in prayer, gently nodded, and saluted the Supreme Lords from afar.
Shiva and Brahma nodded lightly in return.
Finally, Narasimha slowly turned around, bringing his hands into prayer once more, and looked towards Indra.
The poison of Helakela had been cleansed from him, but his lion’s visage was still a shade of azure blue.
“Glory to the Heavenly Emperor!”
“It is your wisdom and strength that woke me from my rage and protected the entire world.”
“Thank you, great Heavenly Emperor!”
With a glimmer in his eyes and hands joined reverently, Narasimha looked towards Indra with respect and gratitude.
“Cough!
Cough!”
“There’s no need for thanks!
It is my responsibility as the Heavenly Emperor!”
Indra coughed lightly and patted his chest.
This Narasimha was surprisingly agreeable!
Indra thought to himself.
He had beaten Narasimha, and yet Narasimha came to thank him, almost making him feel bashful.
Hearing this, Narasimha’s long whiskers trembled, and his face showed moved emotion.
“The Heavenly Emperor is truly merciful!”
Narasimha said with emotion.
He brought his hands together in prayer, saluted Indra once again, and then turned into a golden light that flew out and merged into Protector God Vishnu.
With the apocalyptic disaster averted, the gods were joyous.
The Ritual Master Immortal listened to the Lords recounting the events with a face full of regret, wishing that he had eyes outside his body to have witnessed the scene.
He picked up his brush and wrote in the “Chronicles of Indra”.
“Narasimha’s anger was quelled by the great wisdom and strength of the Heavenly Emperor…”
“Narasimha and the Heavenly Emperor defeated Jīnchuáng, hence they can be called the ‘Conquerors of Jīnchuáng’ together, and since Narasimha spat out the gods, with a face blue-green, he can be known as the ‘Azure Faced Honored One’.”
The Ritual Master Immortal then began to document Indra.
“The Heavenly Emperor is also a ‘Conqueror of Jīnchuáng’, and because the Heavenly Emperor used great wisdom and the Vajra Pestle to awaken the raging Narasimha…”
“He can be called…”
The Ritual Master Immortal fell silent for a moment, considering what title to bestow.
He recalled the dent on Narasimha’s forehead and suddenly had a stroke of inspiration.
“I’ve got it!”
He hurriedly resumed writing.
“The Heavenly Emperor, with great wisdom, rebuked and struck the top of Narasimha’s head with the Vajra Pestle to awaken him from his rage, hence he can be called the ‘Stern Admonisher.'”
“In the future, if one encounters someone in a rage, they may take a staff, mallet, or similar weapon, strike the top of their head and rebuke them, and they shall awaken their senses.”
“This account is witnessed by the Ritual Master Immortal himself, and there is no falsehood in it.”
The Ritual Master Immortal smiled with satisfaction.
Elsewhere.
Adili Immortal brought his son Soma to the presence of Protector God Vishnu.
“Supreme Lord!”
“I’m sorry, I was consumed by anger and cursed you!”
Adili Immortal joined his hands in prayer, his face full of regret, and knelt before Vishnu with a thud.
Vishnu smiled gently.
He lifted his hand to help Adili Immortal up and with a warm smile said, “Do not worry, it is all karma, everything in the world has its karma, it is a part of the world’s balance, and I accept your curse.”
With that, Vishnu’s smile persisted.
“Now that one disaster has ended, and my Vighna is newly built, let us all gather at Vighna!”
Vishnu opened his arms, inviting the gods to join him at Vighna.
…
And in the starry skies.
Goddess Lakshmi merrily picked stars.
Suddenly, her beautiful eyes blinked, and a bright light appeared within them, as if she caught a glimpse of a resplendent sapphire light out of the corner of her eye.
“Oh?”
“How beautiful!”
