CHAPTER 304: CHAPTER 304: THE YOUNG MASTER AND THE MADAM BOTH WENT INTO THE EMERGENCY ROOM
The cars behind were numerous, and with Zhuang Shuqing by his side, Lu Jinyang didn’t dare to take risks. Therefore, he could only speed up.
When the speed reached two hundred and fifty, Zhuang Shuqing suddenly let out a cry of alarm.
Only then did Lu Jinyang realize that a car was coming straight towards them. By this time, it was too late to even think about braking...
A thunderous noise reverberated through half the sky.
When the moon was just right, ambulances, police cars, and fire trucks were gathered here.
The television station’s crew was vying to report this traffic accident.
"We are live at the scene, what you’re seeing are the two vehicles involved in the accident. A Cadillac has crashed into a truck. The Cadillac is deformed, and rescue workers have detected signs of life and are striving to save the occupants. The license plate of the vehicle is: XXXXX, if anyone recognizes the vehicle’s owner, please contact us immediately..."
...
Ye Han suddenly woke up from a dream, sitting up in a cold sweat, a tremendous sense of fear overwhelming her.
Lu Zhiyuan was woken up by her and asked, confused, "What’s wrong with you?"
"Old man, I had a nightmare, I dreamed that..."
"Ring ring ring~"
Lu Zhiyuan’s phone ringing interrupted her. He glanced at her and answered the call. On the other end came an extremely anxious voice, "Chairman, something terrible has happened! The young master and young madam have had an accident!"
"Clang~"
The phone slipped to the ground, and Lu Zhiyuan stared dumbfounded at Ye Han, "What did you just say about having a nightmare? What was it?"
Ye Han, still in shock, said, "I... I dreamt that Jinyang and Shuqing had an accident. Tsk tsk, how could my son and daughter-in-law have an accident?"
At that moment, the landline beside her rang, and she picked it up without a thought.
"Madam, please come quickly to Li Yan’s hospital. The young master and madam have both been taken to the emergency room, and the baby in madam’s womb..."
With a "thud", Ye Han fell straight from the bed, unconscious.
This might have been the most devastating day in Lu Zhiyuan’s life; he didn’t know how he managed to get Ye Han to the hospital.
There he was, a man over fifty, just standing in front of the emergency room, on a floor with three emergency rooms, all of which contained the people he loved most.
Nobody knew the extent of torment such a situation could inflict on a man over fifty.
Finally, one of the operating rooms opened, and out was wheeled Ye Han. He was shaking, allowing the driver to support him as he approached, his eyes unfocused as he looked at the doctor.
"Old Master Lu, don’t worry. The madam just got a fright and fainted due to a rush of blood to her heart. She’ll recover after resting for a few days," the doctor reassured.
Lu Zhiyuan glanced at the other two still closed emergency rooms and muttered, "What if she endures another shock?"
The doctor obviously understood what he meant; unable to bear looking him in the face, he replied with the official line, "Rest assured, we will do our utmost to save them."
By dawn, Lu Jinyang was wheeled out of the emergency room. His head was tightly bandaged, eyes closed, his face pale and utterly devoid of color.
Lu Zhiyuan remembered what the driver had told him when he arrived at the hospital, "Old master, when the young master and young madam were rescued, they were both covered in blood. The young madam was curled up, protecting her belly, while the young master lay on top of the young madam..."
Both were injured in the head in this position.
But as for how badly, Lu Zhiyuan had no idea.
As the doctor wheeled Lu Jinyang in front of him, he said: "Old Master Lu, don’t worry, the young master is past the critical period. His injury isn’t serious, and the blood clots in his head have been removed. Dean Li has examined the young master and assured that there will be no problems."
