Chapter 1693: Chapter 11: Slaughter

“No, don’t come any closer, or I’ll shoot!” The designated male newbie’s face was filled with panic as he gripped the assault rifle and shouted loudly at the Indian man.

“Alright, then it’s your turn!” The Indian man seemed to compromise and casually pointed at another newbie.

The male newbie let out a sigh of relief, unsure of what to do next, when the Indian man suddenly moved, pouncing like an eagle, casting a massive shadow over him.

“No!” The male newbie screamed and pulled the trigger.

Da-da-da, the Indian man grabbed the rifle barrel first, lifted it up, and the bullets all shot into the ceiling.

The male newbie panicked and cluelessly began struggling to reclaim the gun.

The Indian man took advantage of the situation, released the rifle, shifted to the side, and struck with a close-range punch, hitting the newbie straight in the nose.

Bang! Blood splattered from the newbie’s nose, and a broken tooth was spat out. Immediately, the Indian man grabbed his hair and violently pulled his head downward.

Boom! The Indian man’s right knee smashed into the newbie’s face with tremendous force, breaking his nose and driving the bone fragments deep into his brain.

The newbie convulsed on the ground, clearly beyond saving.

The Indian man scanned the room with his gaze, sending chills down the newbies’ spines, making them all retreat.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I believe we Conquerors should temporarily join forces to show these newbies who’s in charge.” The Indian man was actually setting up Tang Zheng.

After committing murder during the public voting game, the Indian man’s reputation among his compatriots had plummeted to rock bottom. No one trusted him anymore. Except for Tang Zheng, all Conquerors were facing similar problems, and he had to counteract the advantage of that Chinese youth.

“This should’ve been done earlier.” The Vietnamese man sneered at the newbies, grinning. “Rifles can’t kill us; at most, they’ll make us bleed a little.”

The Japanese woman glanced at Tang Zheng, awaiting his decision.

“If we’re the first team to leave, the reward will be huge.” The Indian man, smooth-tongued, analyzed the pros and cons for everyone. “After some brief interaction, we’ve gotten to know each other somewhat. Who’s to say we can’t become allies in the future?”

“Is that necessary?” The red-haired man frowned.

“Of course. You don’t think the Holy Land War ends with just one competition, do you? We still have many challenges ahead. Forming an alliance temporarily to fight against the strong teams—isn’t that a good idea?” The Indian man raised his finger and gestured.

“You’re right. It’s only the first competition. If we start killing each other here and even manage to win, we’ll still end up injured, which would be detrimental for the upcoming games!”

The Japanese woman agreed, mainly because, aside from the Vietnamese man, she felt incapable of taking down any of the others, especially Tang Zheng, whom she deeply feared.

Tang Zheng sneered inwardly. The argument seemed reasonable, but the fact that his abilities weren’t restricted was his greatest trump card.

In the subsequent games, there was a high likelihood they might not meet again; after all, the variables were too great, and they could very well die along the way.

“In my eyes, you guys are just points. Why would I let anyone else take them?” Tang Zheng’s gaze lowered as he contemplated whom to strike first.

“If we unite, these newbies are nothing but trash—easy to crush.” The Indian man was anxious; Tang Zheng’s hesitation made him sense danger.

“Tang Leader, what do you think?” Ever since Tang Zheng displayed exceptional capabilities, the Vietnamese man had toned down his attitude.

The newbies were visibly tense and focused entirely on Tang Zheng, as his decision directly determined their life or death.

“Using newbies as cannon fodder is inappropriate. I have a way to get out of here.” Tang Zheng subtly hinted at his value, laying the groundwork for the subsequent actions.

Tang Zheng’s response made the newbies breathe a sigh of relief, albeit silently. However, the Indian man’s expression drastically changed.

“Tang Leader, my suggestion is the most beneficial for everyone!” The Indian man’s eyes flickered as he made a final effort to salvage the situation, though he was already preparing for the worst, keenly sensing that his ploy had been seen through.

“We can cooperate, but you must die!”

Tang Zheng pointed at the Indian man, shocking everyone present.

“Tang Zheng, do you think I will surrender willingly?” The Indian man roared with false bravado, his eyes shifting through everyone in the room.

“Tang Leader, isn’t your stance a bit rash?” The red-haired man found the decision questionable.

“I agree to the alliance, but this guy is the most treacherous and deceitful among us. I don’t trust him. Besides, he proposed killing the newbies, which has already made him public enemy number one, likely to be targeted by black gunfire. If we align with him, the newbies will also become suspicious of us.”

Tang Zheng aimed to eliminate the Indian man. Among his opponents, this guy had the highest IQ and was the hardest to deal with.

“Don’t listen to him! If you kill me, you’ll be defeated one by one.” The Indian man was genuinely terrified, his gaze shifting toward the Japanese woman. He regretted not taking the RC Unit from her earlier. That could have been his trump card. As for weapons, they had long been restricted, leaving him with no alternatives.

“If I start proposing to kill after he’s dead, then you can deal with me.” Tang Zheng shook his head, addressing the Conquerors and once again hinting at his utility. “I can lead you out of here. With my reputation, if some malicious newbies attempt anything dangerous, do you think they’ll refuse me?”

The Conquerors were moved. Ever since entering this room, Tang Zheng’s character and actions were evident to everyone; he was clearly a good person.

As for the newbies, rejecting him might be their instinct. However, in the face of overwhelming odds, those unlucky ones chosen by the Conquerors had no ability to resist. After all, these people were unfamiliar with each other and driven by their natural instinct to avoid trouble. They wouldn’t fight on their behalf, and opposing them only made one susceptible to becoming the next target with no way out.

“Don’t trust him! With his IQ, who among you can stand against him? He’ll devour you whole!” Looking at the fierce glares from the Conquerors, the Indian man grew increasingly desperate and began inching closer to Tang Zheng.

Things couldn’t be resolved peacefully anymore. Killing Tang Zheng was the only chance to renegotiate terms.

“What are you all waiting for? Shoot him! Have you forgotten that he just proposed using you as cannon fodder?” Tang Zheng shouted, retreating as he positioned himself alongside a few Chinese newbies—perfect meat shields.

The newbies hesitated, their expressions shifting nervously. Killing for the first time was never easy.

“You’re seeking death!” The Indian man lunged at Tang Zheng, his murderous intent erupting.

“Shoot! To survive, you must kill him!”

Tang Zheng yelled, his voice taking on a hint of magic, compelling the newbie shooters.

The newbies, already on edge, saw the Indian man charging and panicked. Combined with Tang Zheng’s prompting, they instinctively opened fire.

Da-da-da. Bullets whistled through the air.

Despite the limited room for evasive maneuvers, the Indian man showcased his extraordinary physique as a Conqueror, moving as though a phantom, leaving behind afterimages. He surged toward Tang Zheng, but a group of Chinese newbies ahead slowed his advance.

“Move aside!” The Indian man roared like a lion, his right hand snapping out like a whip, aiming at a newbie’s head.

Boom! His clenched fist smashed the newbie’s skull, brain pulp bursting out, leaving a headless corpse collapsing to the ground.

Witnessing the death spurred total madness among the newbies, who fired their rifles at the Indian man.

Tang Zheng retreated once again, observing the Indian man coldly, a trace of a smile curling his lips.

“Bastard, face me one-on-one if you’ve got guts!” Yelled the Indian man as more bullets struck him, frustrating him to the point of nearly coughing blood. In an open area, he would never have been injured in the first place.

“These newbies, holding guns for the first time, won’t manage their ammo well and will quickly run out. With the Indian man’s strength, he won’t be killed but will undoubtedly be gravely injured. The single-minded Vietnamese man will surely seize the opportunity to take him down and steal the kill. As for the others, it’s uncertain.”

Tang Zheng calmly analyzed the unfolding situation as he watched the Indian man like a cornered beast.

The gunfire lasted less than ten seconds before ceasing altogether. Bloodied, the Vietnamese man decisively made his move.

“Tang Leader, I killed him for you.”

The Vietnamese man appeared to flatter Tang Zheng on the surface but inwardly rejoiced at the opportunity for free points.

“You’re courting death!” Realizing his imminent demise, the Indian man unleashed all his might.

“Thus, five newbies around Tang Zheng perished—all killed in one strike. An English third-order Conqueror’s body was simply too superior.

Seeing the situation spiraling out of control, the red-haired man and the silent Conqueror also stepped in to compete for the kill.

The Japanese woman observed the spectacle from the outside, noticing Tang Zheng standing still and calmly watching the chaos. His demeanor exuded a certain “everything is under control” air—a realization that sent shivers through her.

“How terrifying!” The Japanese woman felt her scalp tingling. “Has he predicted every possible outcome in this situation?”

Boom! The Indian man was sent flying, bloodied and rolling across the ground. With three opponents against him, victory was out of reach.

“Tang Zheng, I curse you to a miserable death!” The Indian man’s face contorted as he spat venomous words, knowing death was certain yet powerless against Tang Zheng.

“I’ll be waiting.” Tang Zheng sneered.

“I want the kill!” The Vietnamese man exclaimed excitedly, his right hand forming a knife-like edge as he plunged it into the Indian man’s skull. Beastification-enhanced, his physical attributes exceeded those of ordinary Conquerors.

“Gravity reversal!”

At the exact moment the Vietnamese man’s hand-knife pierced the Indian man’s eye socket, Tang Zheng activated gravity reversal, shredding the Indian man’s entrails before anyone else could claim the kill.

“Haha, refreshing!” The Vietnamese man laughed, holding the corpse impaled on his hand.

“Gravity Meteor Burst!”

Tang Zheng compressed gravity, releasing it instantly, causing an explosion-level impact.

Boom! The Indian man’s corpse exploded, scattering flesh and blood everywhere. Using the chaotic mess as cover, Tang Zheng entered Hero Mode, maximizing gravity reversal.

Thud, thud. Three individuals coughed blood and stumbled back in panic.

“Careful, that’s his final counterattack before dying!” Tang Zheng yelled, masking the truth to mislead the clueless newbies.

“Someone’s unrestricted in using abilities?” The Vietnamese man wasn’t dull; he immediately realized he had been duped.

The three turned their attention to Tang Zheng, but ordinary flesh and blood couldn’t withstand the full-power gravity reversal. Their internal organs were brutally shredded and subsequently obliterated.

Thump, thump. The Japanese woman staggered backward, her face pale with shock as she stared at Tang Zheng. Though she wasn’t particularly sharp, she understood something had changed.

“If I had joined the attack on the Indian man earlier, I might be dead by now.” Cold sweat trickled down her forehead as she clutched the RC Unit tightly, her only lifeline. Her thoughts were in disarray. “Why can he use abilities?” (To be continued. If you enjoy this work, please visit Qidian.com to vote for recommendation tickets and monthly tickets.
