On Allen's side, countless swords hovered in the sky that hit Allen. Allen blocked those swords using his stronggolden defensive barrier/strong and hid behind the tree.

As the sword again poured down, he cast strongtelekinesis./strong The magical thread groped the swords. Countless magical strings held the swords and block them from falling down.

Floating swords moved at Allen's will. He threw the sword at the sky. Those swords fell in different directions stabbing the defenseless trees.

The sword vanished as its goal of stabbing was fulfilled. A shadow passed by a tree. There you are! Allen immediately circulated the mana around his body. Silently, he cast  strongQuick Speed,/strong as the enemy was human.

If he yell or shout, he would probably create a countereffect of his spell. So, being silent is the key to winning a battle.

Allen chased the shadow, which he could barely make a figure out of it. A boy wearing black clothes covered his face with a mask, and pretty much looked like a ninja. From the spells he used, Allen could figure that he was a wind element mage.

The wind blew around his feet making his speed faster. However, Allen with his spell was near to him and was going to catch him.

Feeling Allen behind his back, the ninja boy cast something. His lips moved but not a sound was generated. The wind around his legs intensified and rotated like a tornado as fast air blew behind his back giving him more speed.

His speed doubled and he left Allen a heck behind. Allen blinked for a moment. But instantly, he hovered in the air with his  strongtelekinesis  /strongspell and used strongsmall teleport./strong

In the mid-air, while flying he teleported 10m ahead.

The boy who was running ahead couldn't escape from Allen's gaze. Allen raised his hand and cast  strongEnergy Blast, Windblast./strong

The boy felt danger. He was at the edge of the branch. He turned and face the spells, but except for dodging. He fell from the branch with just hands raised sideway doing T-pose.

Tens of wind balls hovered in the air. The balls were covered with spinning blades of wind. The wind ball was thrown as the boy fell down doing T-posing.

The wind balls collided with  strongEnergy Blast/strong and  strongWind Blast./strong A small force was created and the remaining wind balls charged toward Allen.

The wind balls cut everything that came his way. It created a hole in the middle of the tree, cut branches, and move on.

Its spinning blade was sharp. Allen frowned a bit, but he repeatedly cast  strongEnergy Blast./strong Two spells collided and a small explosion occurred.

When Allen's eyes scanned to find the boy, he pretty much was alone. The boy's trace had disappeared. He decided to move to help others, as he had heard trouble on their part.

But, a wind blade suddenly appeared behind, close to his body. Allen jolted feeling the appearance of sudden energy behind him. He immediately cast  strongGolden Defensive Shield,/strong but, before the wind blade could touch him, a big rotating blue compressed wind ball hit the barrier.

The ninja boy appeared behind Allen's barrier and used that skill.

A ball of wind, the size of a football was rotating in its fixed axis emitting blue energy around its surface.

"Pff, is that rasengan from Naruto!"

Allen was amazed by the creativity, as even spells from anime shows were here. But he didn't have time to admire the spell, the anno data-annotation-id="c49520e8-c82f-2daf-be02-fc82f1fbbdb4"blue wind ball /annohad already created cracks in his barrier.

He immediately fixed the barrier while the wind blade had hit the barrier from another side. Fortunately, not much damage was caused to the barrier.

The ninja boy clicked his tongue and ran back. But Allen didn't give him another chance. He immediately used strongSmall Teleport/strong to catch up to the guy and used  strongSuper Strength.  /strongThe punch caught him off-guard and he tried to block the attack with his hand.

But, the punch packed some strength and flung him back. He was thrown 5 meters far and hit the tree.

He vomited blood. Allen could see a red stain on his black mask. His lips curled up and he teleported near the guy again. He held the man and threw him up before using strongWind Blast./strong

As the wind exploded and flung the boy again, additional  strongEnergy Blast/strong hit him. He was thrown with more speed and hit the tree with more force. Some crack appeared on the tree steam, but it wasn't serious for the tree.

His back may have broken. He fell to the ground and hit the ground.

The red light emitted from his body and a holographic text hovered.

[Death]

Allen squinted at the text and ignored it.

Death, here means the enemy is critically injured and won't be able to participate in the battle. In one word, he is disqualified. But if his team managed to win, he will also advance to the next battle.

This forest is the domain of heads of Mage Academy. So, they could make sure, no death take place. And the authority is distributed to all the heads of the academy participating here, so no power monopoly would occur.

While Allen dealt with his enemy, others were facing their enemies too.

On Rena's side, she was panting heavily. She was exhausted. The assassin sneak attack her, but she was able to sense him as he got close.

Casting wind spells, she blocked off the dagger coming to her neck. The assassin was a black art user, as his spells were more focused on shadows and hiding.

Black art user, or in a sense Shadow elemental guy, the assassin was. Rena was annoyed by the constant hiding of the assassin, not to mention he was patient as he hid for several minutes and only appear when Rena's guard was down.
