CHAPTER 65: A DEVIL IN LOVE!

Chapter 65: A Devil in Love!

The devil, not aware of its fate, stood in front of the village head’s estate.

It stood there for a second before it smiled, a devilish curve on her face, as words Ken couldn’t understand rang out from its mouth.

"The demon tongue, huh?" Ken spoke as he retracted his fingers, and with it, the entire path of deadly strings vanished.

They were made from the spiritual energy in the air, so with a thought, they returned back to their energy form.

It wasn’t yet time to take care of the devil. At the moment, it could vanish back into the doctor’s body at any time.

He needed to kill them both, with the doctor going first, so he had to take things slow.

If the devil died before the doctor, it’d go where it came from.

If he attacked the doctor and left it alone, it could flee after he killed him.

But he had a plan, a surefire one.

He watched as it entered the estate without worries, and instead of following it, he slipped a string into its long dress.

He already had the estate’s map on his mind; as the string traversed with the devil, he’d know exactly what was happening.

It walked without stopping, going up the stairs and then reaching Ralf’s room.

"As expected." Ken furrowed his brows; since he didn’t do anything before, he wouldn’t do anything now.

Ralf would have to take the hit. And once the devil was felled, the curse would be removed.

But if the devil wasn’t...

This was the real reason why Ken needed it killed.

It cannot flee, and it surely cannot go back to where it came from.

It had to die... it and its twisted contractor.

A minute passed, and then two, and after that, the devil got out of Ralf’s room.

Its job here was done.

The man would die in 4 days, as it promised its contractor.

Medicine that could slow down death? What a joke, it was just a timed curse.

Ken calmed himself down and did not act on impulse, something he found relatively hard at this very moment.

The moment the devil left, he could squash it into a million pieces.

He could smash its head with a single punch.

He wanted to rush to the doctor’s house right now and break his head open with his own hand.

Countless thoughts surged through his mind, but for now...

Things had to be taken slowly.

He had already laid the bait; the prey only had to take it.

And take the bait it did.

Ken’s string felt as the devil stopped in front of a room right next to Ralf’s.

Thinking that it already had its job done, the devil was even more easygoingthan when it came, but at this moment, it came across an open door.

The red fog from the window fell on Alex’s face, which, for the devil, could as well be counted as an aphrodisiac.

It stood in its place for a second, then a minute, and then ten before it stepped inside.

Without so much as making noise, it reached Alex and stood in front of him.

Ken had moved, coming closer to the open window, and from his place...

He could hear the fast breathing of the devil.

The devils were split into two categories.

Warrior Devils, and Succubuses.

While the latter used hypnosis and had higher control over their emotions, they were weak physically.

The former, however... tended to get really attached to what they found attractive.

Ken watched as the devil spent the rest of its time drooling over Alex while his eyes shone with countless methods to kill it.

Had this plan failed, he would have immediately moved to another way, but he was right.

Something he had been working on since the moment his eyes laid on Alex surprisingly worked well.

Now, he only had to move to the second phase of the plan.

--------

Dawn came, and the devil disappeared from its place, and each family went to check on their closest relatives.

Each house woke up worried, and those who did not sleep were more anxious than those who did.

Alas, the only victim was in the village head’s house, a victim that would cause the entire village to weep.

The village head’s family woke up one after the other, and they gathered in the large dining room.

Ken wasn’t there, but Alex, Marwa, and the village head’s entire family were.

Seeing that Ken was missing, Alex and Marwa weren’t worried, but the village head’s children were starting to get anxious when their eldest brother didn’t show up.

"Where is Brother Ralf?" A young man who looked strikingly similar to Ralf spoke first.

"... Maybe he overslept. When I went to father’s room he wasn’t there." The young lady who served Ken and his group when they first came was the one to reply.

"It shouldn’t be... Brother wouldn’t."

"Go check up on your brother." The village head showed up with his cane.

He opened the door to the dining room after his voice was heard, and once the words reached his children.

Everybody scrambled to the second floor.

Alex and Marwa wanted to follow too, but they stood next to the village head.

"I fear that it’s already too late." The old man spoke up, his voice hurting and his gaze on the second floor.

Neither of the two spoke. They looked at each other and then at the second floor.

"BROTHER!" Suddenly a shout made the entire estate quake.

"NOOOO! BROTHER!" Another followed right after.

And by now, the old village head could hardly keep himself standing if not for Alex assisting him.

"Alas..." he said as his entire being shook uncontrollably.

Suddenly, Ken showed up first on the second floor, Ralf’s unconscious body on his back.

Behind him were the children of the village head, 3 ladies and 3 men, some following right behind, hardly controlling their tears, and others not even able to go down the stairs, clutching onto the edge of the stairway as support or crying on the ground uncontrollably.

One of them couldn’t even make it out of her brother’s room.

But Ken was already there since dawn, watching over the man with no words coming out of his mouth until his siblings came to check on him.

Now, he was taking him to the doctor with no visible emotions on his face.
