CHAPTER 78: INNER SECT ELDERS!

Chapter 78: Inner Sect Elders!

Adam bowed down slightly, and the moment the other staff noticed, they got up alongside Ken and showed respect to the elders who were just about to land.

"At ease!" The elders spoke as one, and their voice made Ken shiver, and the other staff almost couldn’t stop themself from kneeling.

It was just a simple word, but the power it held behind it was beyond what they could fathom.

The disciples then rose, and Ken laid his eyes on the group of elders and their disciples.

8 elders in total, and each had one to three disciples.

15 official disciples all stood behind their masters, not a single one of them so much as blinking from their respect.

Ken then returned his gaze to look at the elders, and without fail, each one who saw him smiled slightly.

Some gently, some pridefully, some silently, and others with a raised brow.

Each had his own distinct personality and demeanor, and anyone could distinguish between them.

These... were the inner sect elders.

The epitome of the sect in terms of power, only beneath the absolute.

Their realm was beyond foundation establishment, and not a single one of them wasn’t a name that shook the upper tiers of the world.

Similarly, their information couldn’t be accessed or known by ordinary people, like them.

They stood on a completely different pedestal, one higher than their eyes could lay on, and they saw the world from a different angle altogether, one inaccessible to most.

To the utmost left stood an elder that Ken, whose identity Ken could easily guess.

From the information he was provided, he was sure this man was the inverted sage. The master of Alex and Sakamoto, as well as Eldora, the eldest disciple who had just arrived and was standing quietly behind his master, observing Ken with a sharp gaze.

The elder was as described, long-bearded and with wise golden eyes, and his form radiated endless kindness, the kind that could drown you.

Next to him was a gray-bearded elder, but this one only had a short goatee, and he looked more like an alchemist than anything.

Ken didn’t have much information aside from what he gained these few days about him and the other 6 elders.

His 3 disciples had varying personalities, and one could see that from how different they were from each other even while just standing. One of them, for some reason, looked at Ken with slight pain visible on his face.

A black-bearded elder with a sharp gaze and very fiery personality stood next to the alchemist.

He seemed like the type to kidnap you if he set his eyes on you.

His smile was wide, and his eyes were big and wide open. And to no one’s surprise, 2 of his 3 disciples, who looked like they lacked brain cells, looked at Ken the same way.

The other was looking at Ken with a warm gaze, and he definitely seemed much different from the other two. He was more mature, more composed, more... down-to-earth.

A bald monk of an elder was right next to the black-bearded elder, and unlike kind-looking monks, this one’s eyes were closed shut but sharp, and he didn’t hide his cutting aura, standing silently with two disciples who were very much like him.

The 5th elder, however, seemed like he was at the end of his life; his gaze wasn’t on Ken but beyond him, fixated on the ladies, and... not much more needed to be said from the two absolutely gorgeous official disciple sisters behind him.

While the man wasn’t directing his interest towards Ken, the ladies were; one was slightly covering her hair with a veil that fell down to cover her lower face, an Arabian beauty, and the other was a blonde with mesmerizing purple gem-like eyes who was smiling warmly at Ken and waving at him as if she knew him.

The rest of the three elders were all female, and only one of their disciples was a male.

The oldest of them, who stood next to the perverted elder, was fuming with anger when she turned to see the look on the elder’s face, completely unbefitting his status.

She was the master of herself and the elder’s own son and his wife, her daughter-in-law, whom Ken only knew due to his providence, because the two disciples of this lady were covered in a shadowy fog; no one could see inside, but they could see everything.

And Ken was already aware of these two elders’ husband-wife relationship.

And to everyone’s surprise, he was provided information that out of all these elders here, they were the youngest, yet they loved to keep an old appearance to seem like a loving couple.

Weird antics, but Ken wouldn’t let their outward appearance fool him...

These two elders were fearsome beyond belief and the most terrifying of the bunch, not in terms of power, but ferocity... A single sentence told him of their cruel, ruthless plans that had ended in the death of billions of beastmen and demons.

And then came the last two elders, the twins. Veiled in the same way as Adam’s wife, one barely showed her eyes, while the other wore a silk veil that hid half of her face.

Their robes, however, were weird, unlike what one would imagine. They weren’t like that of a nun, nor were they like that of religious ladies from his world.

They were made from some kind of energy as material, but they did their job of hiding their figures.

The most fitting example would be spirits with human faces, but, for some reason or another, it didn’t make one feel out of place and also diverted perverted gazes...

And to no one’s surprise, their 3 disciples wore similar clothes.

These... were the inner sect elders who had taken time off their own seclusion to come and see Ken.

The young lad who had killed a devil while still at the first stage of qi refining.
