CHAPTER 81: SECOND PHASE OF THE GATHERING!

Chapter 81: Second Phase of the Gathering!

"Yes, that is correct." Ken nodded in response.

"2 nights to kill the devil, huh?" The elder smiled faintly.

But up to this point, nobody diverted their attention completely; they already knew this information, and they were surprised more by the fact that Ken did this while being a first-stage qi refining realm individual than they were by the duration it took.

So while the talks of the table were still running round, the elder tapped his fingers on the table as if thinking of something.

The elder master, seeing this, smiled.

"Don’t worry about it; he’s already proficient enough." Once these words were spoken, the elders squinted their eyes.

Ken could somewhat guess that they were talking about one of his techniques, either the later ones or his restraining order.

Because they knew about his high comprehension and his high mastery of the efficient records.

"Young man, have you reached basic mastery of the Useful Records?" The elder, with a somewhat serious tone, asked.

"Yes." Ken, hearing this question, understood what was going on.

One of the uses of the useful record, especially at its early points, was its focus on concentration, one of the ways to resist mental attacks from incubi and succubi.

"..." Hearing Ken reply to that question positively made the elders rethink his worth once more.

Mainly because one can’t begin understanding the useful records until they reach perfect mastery over the efficient records.

"Very well." And at that very moment, the collection of inner sect elders had formed a plan for Ken for when he became an inner sect disciple.

One that would make him the ultimate weapon against devils.

The conversation stalled since then. Plans needed time, and with Ken not understanding what was going on, he had also gone silent, his brain turning to think of what could possibly be going on and his heart beating with slight fury at not knowing exactly what they were talking about.

And for the next hour, the younger generation continued talking between themselves, and the older generation, with Ken, were deep in thought.

The elders had their minds connected, thinking of the best way to prepare Ken for what was coming from this day to the one he becomes an inner sect disciple in.

Ken himself was about to break his head open until he felt some action and raised his eyes.

To his right, he heard Eldora address his master at the same time as many of the other elders and disciples were rising from their seats.

"Master, it is time." Eldora, with an expression of slight haste, spoke with his master with a hint of shyness, like a son asking his father for money.

"Hmm? very well." Elder Karim came out of his deep thinking and looked at his disciple.

And upon seeing that most elders were also getting up, he took a deep breath and rose from his seat alongside his two disciples.

"Disciple Ken, the elders would like to have a conversation with you soon; we will notify you then." With these words spoken, Elder Karim went straight for the perverted elder, with both of his disciples following him.

While Eldora was obviously trying his hardest to control himself, Alex was looking at Ken with a smile before they nodded at each other.

And it was only after all of this that Ken completely took control over his thoughts.

The elders were mostly planning something with him, and that something had to do with either his high comprehension or his proficiency with the useful records.

Of course this was obvious, but in his attempt to pinpoint exactly what they needed him for, he had to spot and eliminate all possible threats; after all, Ken couldn’t completely trust each and every elder, no matter what.

They had access to a higher realm of understanding than he did, and they could control themselves and the world around them in whichever way they wanted; such illustrious beings should be walked around very, very carefully.

What mattered was that he couldn’t think of a way they could hurt him, and everything pointed towards his own benefit, and the conclusion he stopped at was that it was something only he could do that would benefit him and the sect as a whole.

He would know everything soon; either way, midnight was minutes away.

And it was exactly why everybody was getting up from their seats while the butlers and maids replenished the food and got rid of the empty cups and plates.

It was time for everybody to get to know each other, according to their status.

While the disciples spoke with each other, the elders took their own spot, not to be approached.

And once the table was emptied, he and the elder master were the only ones sitting.

He decided that it was time.

"Elder master, if you’ll excuse me." Ken got up from his seat and bowed to the elder.

"I have something to talk about with the elders too." The elder excused Ken.

"Whenever you’re done, you’re free to come to our side." And with this invitation and words spoken, he went to the elders’ small circle.

This meant that Ken could join the big shots of the table again at any time.

Sure, he was the main star of this gathering, but he couldn’t just shove himself in the middle of inner sect elders. Not without permission.

But for now, he had plans with disciples. He had access to the largest amount of research material and in all of their shapes and forms.

Thus, he departed first towards his staff group, and with him walking, all eyes followed.

They’ve been waiting for this moment; every disciple here was here for the VIP room, the delicacies, the beauties, the elders, and more than anything, to see Ken!

Ken was walking alone, no elders around, and his stance was open and welcoming, which meant...

That it was time to get to know the monster of this generation!
