CHAPTER 95: MORE INFORMATION!
Chapter 95: More Information!
"We have been very complacent with the outer sect disciples in teaching them about it due to their lack of information regarding the spirit path, but it was good that you’ve opened that door for them." The elder master replied to Elder Magga’s previous remark.
The book was every being’s treasure... huh?
Ken thought back to these words and wondered if the elder would continue talking about it.
"Elder master, the book’s knowledge cannot be taught more than it can be read." Elder Karim said these words and then turned his attention towards Elder Magga.
"Had you not spoken about it, I would have," he said to the elder, who was already feasting heartily by now, and from his calm expression, Ken felt that the man was... happy?
Happy from teaching the disciples about the book? Was it that important that he’d be happy about it? If so, then why is every person not speaking about its content day and night?
"It was an opportunity I had to take. And not everybody understands the book as much as we do, nor holds it in that much importance to know about the secret of sharing its knowledge with others." Elder Magga said.
...
At this point, Ken would have loved to have a long and calm talk with the elders to slowly and smoothly filter out information.
At this point, he couldn’t feel like he understood everything that was going on, and it made his head hurt... he wanted to know.
"The book’s information cannot be taught more than it can be read. Well said, Eder Karim. Everybody understands it differently. Even in my case, whenever I read it, it is completely different from the last time." The Elder Master suddenly spoke.
Then he turned towards Ken.
"I forgot about you, disciple Ken. From your face, I believe this is the first time you’ve discovered the existence of the book; am I right?" The Elder Master asked.
"That is right, elder master. And I have to say, my head is hurting to know more about the book." Ken replied with all the honesty he could muster.
If he could go search for this book today, he would.
"Hahaha, thinking about it, not everybody would understand what I was getting at, but I don’t think any disciple would have had a grasp of what I was aiming at more than you, disciple Ken." Elder Magga from his place laughed loudly and said.
"Normally, outer sect disciples don’t come into contact with the book before their first year; only then does the instructor who gives the lecture give each one a copy of it... but no matter how they emphasize its importance, most disciples leave it gathering dust, do you know why?" The Elder Master asked Ken with a soft look on his face.
Then, before Ken answered, he waved his hand and took out a relatively large book and then another... a massive book he made float next to him.
"Because they’re too busy with cultivation and their techniques, I believe?" Ken nodded; he could see where this was going, but when his eyes fell on the book with the large golden title, he directly gazed into his elder master’s eyes.
"You are right. You know how much time the spirit path takes from us, and if we spend a lifetime explaining it, we wouldn’t end; thus, for such things like the book, we only have so little time to speak about, even with its higher importance than the very path we’re taking." Elder Karim spoke such words, and Ken’s view of the book rose 10 notches above.
Even more important than the spirit path?
"Here. This is ’The Book’ a copy of it, and my interpretation of it that might help you understand some of the more complex subjects." The Elder Master smiled and handed Ken a book as thick as a fist, and his interpretation of it... which was as thick as two heads.
"Don’t be taken aback; this is merely a summary of a summary of the interpretation of the first Chapter, which speaks about the beginning of our world and the first fallen civilization." The Elder Master, seeing Ken’s eyes squinting slightly in disbelief that the interpretation was this huge, added cream on top of the cake.
"..." Ken stood silent for a second, then took the book, showed his gratitude, and then, after a few seconds, asked.
"Elder Master, how many Chapters are there in this book?" Ken asked, his eyes squinted in thought.
"A hundred and fourteen, disciple Ken... each as big as the first." Hearing these words was the same as thunder on Ken’s eyes, but for a completely different reason.
"If you’ll excuse me." Ken got up, without a second of delay bowed, and flew out of the VIP room at the fastest speed he could muster.
Seeing this unfolding, the elders couldn’t help but look at each other...
Then their eyes squinted to themselves.
There was someone who understood the importance of the book before even reading it...
And it was Ken, the young man who was promising in terms of comprehension, fighting prowess, power, and more fields than one.
The elder master then looked towards the direction of Ken’s house.
If Ken truly took this book to heart and made it his mission to understand it, and even possibly made it easier to understand for the masses, then it would be the biggest contribution he would make to humanity altogether, not just the sect.
But this was just a dream they held themselves, but who could blame them? The rewards were that big.
To say that the entire purpose of this world being formed was for this book’s teachings to spread is believed by most scholars to be the closest to the truth.
And it was it that shaped their victory, the victory of humanity over the beastmen; it was it that shaped this world, its culture, and its morals, and it was the core of this world...
the one thing everything revolved around.
