Infinite Wealth System: Crazy Tasks, Insane Rewards!
Chapter 118: Breaking His Alliances
CHAPTER 118: BREAKING HIS ALLIANCES
The Marine Team had searched everywhere around, and they couldn’t even find Jayden Cole’s body. It was stated that he must have been eaten by some wild fish, as expected by everyone, and it didn’t take long before his search case was forgotten.
Just like that, it was announced that Jayden Ian Cole, son of the late Emerson and Naylah Cole, was dead.
"The Cole family is extinct," many said, and for days, the story had been widely talked about across the country.
Different news outlets everywhere:
[Axenblog: Jayden Cole is said to have died after several hours inside the Black Lagoon. There’s no way he’s surviving.]
[Roadside News: His mother just died five weeks ago, now he’s joining her. The Cole family is confirmed to have gone extinct, after the well-known embezzlement accusation on the father, Mr. Emerson Cole, fourteen years ago, which was later confirmed to be true.]
("The case is... Who is inheriting his assets, as he has no wife or children?")
("The State Government has stated it will give his relations two weeks to fish out a suitable successor, or the account will be completely frozen.")

"No! No, God! This can’t be true."
The crying voice of Melinda resounded around the large café building, drawing the attention of almost all customers.
The young lady broke into tears after watching the news, hearing about the death of Jayden Cole.
Jumped into the Black Lagoon?
No sign of him for nine hours?
It was clear that he must have died inside, or most likely been eaten.
Melinda couldn’t hold back the tears as she kept crying her eyes out, completely stunned.
Just a few days ago, she was with him, and even had a wonderful time enjoying one of the moments she had always dreamt of.
Now he is dead?
"No... No way..."
Melinda cried on, and even Reece and George weren’t able to console her.
Sure, they were also shocked by the news too, and it would be a lie if they said they weren’t heartbroken.
They knew how kindhearted and generous Jayden was. How he had been humble to them every time he was around.
How he changed their boss Melinda’s life and theirs as well.
It was sad that he was dead... But now, what could they do?
It turned out that Melinda was the only person who would struggle to accept it for long.
And in fact, she fell sick instantly.

Lynna was skipping work again today. Well, the fact that Zintech was under emergency closure made it fair.
Her eyes were already swollen, having learned about the death of the man who had charmed her.
Lynna’s affection for Jayden was still intact, despite his lack of attention to her recently, but that wasn’t how the system worked.
Once she was charmed, she would surely remain charmed, until perhaps Jayden decided to lift it.
She was staring at one of his best pictures on her phone, completely heartbroken as she cried with the flow.
She had dark circles around her eyes due to sleep deprivation, and it didn’t look like it was getting any better.
No, it wasn’t... Not when she was the only one living in the house and wasn’t ready to stop shedding the cold tears of despair.
She wished he hadn’t embarked on the journey to the headquarters. She believed he would have sustained his life if he hadn’t.
Now, the man she loved was gone, and she was going to keep crying until she couldn’t anymore.
And for the assets case, deep in her mind, Lynna was considering that she could be a proper figure to inherit it.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!"
"That bastard finally got shown the middle finger... Yes!"
Royce dashed into his father’s chamber without even knocking, high-spirited as he rushed to deliver the great news.
"Guess what, Father?" Royce asked.
"What? I don’t have time for guesses at this point, Royce... I have to meet up with a lot of things. As future Vice President of—"
"Jayden is dead."
Royce instantly interrupted his father, and Gregory paused at that point, eyes wide.
"Wh... Wha... What did you just say?" Gregory asked with his brows furrowed.
"You heard me right, Father. I said Jayden Cole, that pest of a boy, is dead. Lady Trigger already carried out the plan. She killed him!" Royce announced happily, jumping around.
He was rejoicing as if he had just won a lottery, but that was expected from Jayden’s greatest enemy, right?
Learning that Jayden was dead was one of the best pieces of news he would ever hear in his entire life, and Royce was ready to celebrate this news.
"Hahaha! Jayden? That cockroach is dead? What news... Finally! I was actually looking forward to strangling him with my own hands, but thanks to the fact that our good allies had done the job," Gregory said.
"Finally, the stubborn family is erased. I won’t have to worry about anything regarding Emerson’s accusation and death again. Phew... Get me wine, son. Get me some wine!" he added.
Royce quickly rushed to get the best wine on the shelf as they both grabbed their glasses and drank.
"To the Cole family’s extinction," Gregory said as he raised his cup.
"To the Cole family’s extinction!" Royce cheered as they both drank mouthfuls after mouthfuls, enjoying the moment.
It was then that the telephone rang, and Gregory rushed over to pick up the call.
"Mister Gregory. Are you trying to play jokes with me?"
The voice of the Minister of Commerce rose.
Gregory’s jaw dropped at once, as his face darkened.
"You have failed to forward the money we agreed on. If you don’t pay up, I will be forced to expose you to the Royal Council!" the minister shouted.
"Well, you can try, Minister. You think you can threaten me? No, not anymore," Gregory let out a smile.
"Really? You are not afraid of what this might cost you? Look, Mister Gregory. If you don’t forward the money in the next forty-eight hours, I will make sure I terminate our agreement, and the rest of the ministers will do the same too. By then, don’t come begging."
Gregory still remained calm.
"Oh well, by then let’s see who will come begging whom... When I become Vice President of Nortasia, I will make sure you pay ten times what you have taken from me."
With a proud nod from his son, Gregory ended the call with a clear look of confidence.
He thinks he’s elevating... And yes, his alliances with the top dogs have officially broken.
