Chapter 161: Governor Ian
CHAPTER 161: GOVERNOR IAN
Jayden took it upon himself to see a view of the scene where the bomb had destroyed.
He first settled at Fenille, where it first happened, and unfortunately, when the people noticed his arrival, cussing rose unexpectedly from different sides as they drove past them.
"Weak ruler! We want Royalty Rule back! We never got bombed when King Arthur was King!"
"Young, weak President, step down and let a capable man rule!"
"Murderer! You caused this!"
Jayden was clearly fed up with those curses as they drove past the crowds, and to be straight, he clearly had his heart broken by these words.
He thought he had been trying to do fine so far... He thought the people were seeing it... He thought they would give him his credit.
However, it was a different case entirely.
Settling at the Fenille State Governor’s house, Jayden had to make his speech there because the people were raging out at the bomb blast scene.
They were throwing stones, knives... They even wanted to get close to the convoy but thanks to the securities, and the guarding effectiveness of the Orion V.
Governor Ian Dennis welcomed him the moment he arrived, as they went ahead to converse.
"Welcome, Mister President," Ian said with a respectful smile and led Jayden to his guest room.
"I wasn’t welcomed here though," Jayden responded that way, but still had a smile on his face.
Things like what the people of Fenille had done broke his heart, but he had taught himself to be a strong man, and to stand strong no matter what. To prove himself.
To prove them wrong that he could be the best ruler they had ever seen.
"They aren’t always like this, Mister President. It was because of the attack. We lost people. Good people. They lost their families..." Ian spoke. "They are just so angry because the incident is fresh, but I know, Mister President, I know you didn’t cause this."
"I did," Jayden suddenly cut in.
Ian’s eyes widened in shock... And confusion.
"H... How?" He asked with his eyes slightly furrowed.
"I joined the Alliance, and President Liam Thompson asked me to accept the deal of sharing the resources we get here in Nortasia," Jayden began.
"I refused. I had to, because he is a tyrant. We just discovered that Nortasia’s got gold, diamond, oil. King Arthur wasn’t wise enough to discover that in time, but I guess that is a good thing, because they would have taken control over it," he added.
"You mean, you dared the Icelandians?" Ian flinched, his eyes suddenly turning sharp and curious.
Jayden nodded without hesitation, giving him a straight look.
"Um, with all due respect, Mister President. How could you? We can’t stand them... They are going to destroy the whole country if we don’t honor their deal," Ian spoke, not believing that the young man had really turned down the deal.
"I wouldn’t. I never will, and also, I wouldn’t let him destroy the whole country. Trust me, this is the last time he would ever attempt to attack us," Jayden said.
"You don’t know that. They have the weapons, the missiles, the nuclear weapons. They are going to destroy everything!" Ian shouted.
"Please, Mister President, you have to go back to them and accept the deal, or else it’s going to get ugly," Ian tried persuading.
"I’m not doing that. You should believe in me. You all should believe in us. We are going to take on the Icelandians and win," Jayden spoke.
"That’s a big joke, Mister President. You can’t win the Icelandians. No one can," Ian objected.
Jayden couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle on that before heaving a soft sigh.
"I can."
Governor Ian shook his head in complete disbelief, giving Jayden some distasteful look. If not for the fact that he was the President, he would have made no hesitation to slap the hell out of the young boy’s face.
But he couldn’t.
"Well, I thought I would get some belief here. Bad thing I didn’t, but it’s fine. I will win... You’ll see."
With that, Jayden stood up and walked out of the place.
He then stopped at the door side and turned.
"I’m sorry about your people. There would be no more attacks on Fenille, and we would make Liam Thompson pay for what he did."
"Watch out."
Jayden finally left the building and entered the car. They drove off without Governor Ian coming to see them off.
...
Meanwhile, back at his room, Governor Ian grabbed his cellphone and dialed a number.
Before the call was picked, he made himself clear...
"I’m not in this. I can’t be part of this little boy’s stupidity."
(BEEP).
"Your excellency."
"Hey, Carson. Get the press ready, I have something to say to the state," Ian said.
"All right, your excellency."
In a matter of moments, Governor Ian was live on National TV, as he made a speech.
"Without any revealable causes, I, Governor Ian Dennis, would be resigning as Governor of Fenille State. Nothing to say, nothing to explain... I just realized that this is where it ends for me and the state management."
"Stay strong Fenille."

("Without any revealable causes, I, Governor Ian Dennis, would be resigning as Governor of Fenille State. Nothing to say, nothing to explain... I just realized that this is where it ends for me and the state management."
"Stay strong Fenille.")
"Uhh, he’s such a coward," Charlotte got a view on the clip before reacting.
"Don’t blame him too much. Old people are always scared of bombs," Harper said with a chuckle.
"Resigning was the worst of ideas. No vibrant ruler would do that. Fenille State had been ruled by a weakling all this while," Camilia shook her head.
"Well, too bad. That’s his loss, because when we get things done, there would be no way to go back," Paula smiled while folding her hands.
"Real," Harper gave a wry smile.
The room went silent for a moment before Camilia broke the silence again.
"Where’s Temi?"
"With Becky in the infirmary, as always," Charlotte notified.
"Okay, I’ll go meet her. When Jayden gets back, tell him about what happened. He must be on his way to NorthVille now," Camilia said as she walked out.
Reaching the infirmary, she walked in and entered Room One. Temi could be seen sitting next to Harper on the ward bed.
"Hey," Temi noticed her at once and greeted.
"Hey," Camilia smiled back.
"She’s asleep," Temi notified.
"I can see," Camilia replied with a soft laugh.
They both gave themselves a short look before Camilia continued.
"This is where you spend most of your day. Noticed quite a while ago, but..."
"I’m a nurse, and she’s my friend. It’s nothing," Temi cut in, nodding with a smile.
Camilia nodded too, showing that she understood.
"You are a wonderful lady, Temi... Uhm, I have been looking for the right time to tell you this, and I think it’s now," Camilia said, her face sincere.
Temi turned fully, her eyes revealing a statement that said "I wasn’t expecting this."
But then she got the compliment right in the face, which amazed and stunned her at the same time.
"I... I wasn’t expecting that..."
"I’m certain. You are a real, mother material. You would make a good mother, a better one than all of us. That’s why I am bringing this idea... Tell Jayden to get you pregnant," Camilia said.
Temi flinched at once, her eyes widened.
"What? What are you saying, Camilia?" Temi asked with her eyes filled with confusion.
"You heard me right, Temi. Get Jayden into getting you pregnant, you know... It would be a great thing," Camilia shrugged, smiling.
"No, you must be kidding me. Jayden is not ready for that. We are not ready for that, Cammy..."
"We are not ready until we make the step. You can have him do it when you make love to him next time. It isn’t that hard, right?" Camilia asked.
For quite a while, Temi sat confused on the chair as she pondered. And for sure, she didn’t believe for once that Camilia would bring such a big idea, and wondered why she was even bringing it.
"I know, it’s hard for you to grasp," Camilia added. "You can think about it. I really hope you consider it the right way."
Camilia went ahead and kissed Becky on the forehead, and then walked out, all with a hopeful smile on her face.
The reason she had brought that idea to Temi? Well, it was clearly because Jayden hadn’t done with her for quite a while.
Cammy had always wanted to have Jayden’s first child, be the first mother in The Core.
That was what she had wanted, but when it was now about time to strike, Jayden suddenly began to get close, she didn’t know why.
The last time he stated that he was in the mood, he later turned her down and brought out a dumb excuse before leaving, and she couldn’t do anything.
Camilia was already thinking that Jayden would never touch her again, and that had pushed her to meet the first woman that he made love with amongst them.
The woman who had spent more time with him than any of them.
And in fact, the best woman to take that title she would have wanted...
First Mother of The Core.
