CHAPTER 47: FULLY PREPARED, ARRIVAL

After getting out of the car, Dante looked at the people who had alighted from a total of 8 vans, looking confident.

He could not forget the humiliation that he had undergone under Michael, in front of so many people back at Green Pearl hotel.

When he came back, he did not inform anyone about the incident, as he felt that it was quite embarrassing.

It was actually for this reason that Steve did not know about it, and had dared to go and look for Michael for a confrontation.

Otherwise, if Steve had been informed about the incident involving Dante, he would not have gone looking for trouble.

As Dante was still looking around, Steve approached him. After a moment of silence, Dante asked, "Are you sure that he will come? If he decides to run away after we have collected most of our forces here, it will be troublesome to find him again. That kid is quite good at hiding."

In response to Dante’s question, Steve responded, "I believe that he will show up. I already sent him the location several hours ago.

And, judging from the way that he was speaking, it seemed that he was really intent on dealing with us. Though, I feel that he is quite presumptuous, thinking that he can deal with an entire gang by himself.

Nonetheless, even if he doesn’t come, it is not as if the orphanage will go away. If he does not show up, we will just go and make trouble at the orphanage. That way, he will bring himself to us."

Hearing Steve’s analysis, Dante nodded. At the same time, he clenched his fist, thinking about what he would do to Michael when he got here.

"Still, we cannot underestimate him. For him to have the confidence of claiming to deal with us, he might have something that he can rely on.

So, I decided to invite my cousin to come over and help. With him and his men, we will have more confidence in dealing with this kid, even if he has a few tricks up his sleeve." Dante suddenly said.

Steve was surprised upon hearing that Dante had actually invited his cousin from the Phantom gang.

This made Steve wonder, just why was Dante taking Michael so seriously?

Michael had demonstrated his strength, having the ability of taking on multiple opponents. But, that was nothing.

Not to mention the number of people that they had brought right now, this time, they brought a few guns with them. With the assurance of the guns, how could they not deal with a little brat?

While they were waiting, they heard the sound of a car engine approaching. Looking over, they realized that two black SUVs were approaching.

As the SUVs stopped, Daniel got out of the car, accompanied by a group of people. Each one of them had a bulky frame, and a bloodthirsty aura around them.

Just by looking at them, Dante could tell that this group of people was formidable. They were definitely the incredible fighters under his cousin.

With this, Dante was even more assured that they would be able to deal with Michael.

As for the reason why they did not just use a gun and kill him directly, was it not all just to save bullets?

Drenn city was a small city to begin with. So, it was quite difficult to be able to find hot weapons. All of those possessed by the gangsters were smuggled into the city from different places, purchased at a high price.

Getting bullets was just as hard, so, it was better to save as many bullets as possible. Additionally, almost each of the people that had been brought by Daniel had a gun with them. This was due to the influence of the Phantom gang.

Of course, the guns did not belong to the people that Daniel had brought over. Instead, they belonged to the gang.

Using his authority as a core member of the gang, Daniel had accessed the armory of the gang, before taking the guns. He would need to return them later on.

Of course, he had done this secretly, just to make sure that somebody would notice. Otherwise, if that current second in command realized that he had taken the guns, it would be quite troublesome to handle.

"Is that kid not here yet? I don’t really have much time to waste around." Daniel spoke as he approached Dante.

"Not yet. Even if he doesn’t arrive, within less than an hour, we can go to the orphanage and look for him." Dante responded.

"Okay. Then, let’s wait for a while. If he doesn’t show up, try to contact him and see if he is going to come or not. Otherwise, we can as well go and look for him ourselves." Daniel responded before he got back inside the SUV that he had come in.

Dante did not say anything, and patiently waited.

At this moment, this place that was usually dark, was illuminated by several vans that had been parked in such a way that there was a circle in between them.

This open space was a parking lot in front of the factory building, where trucks and trailers were usually parked during the time that the factory was still operational.

At the moment, the vans had already created an arena, where the battle was supposed to break out.

Right now, each of the gangster was standing in the surrounding area, with some hiding inside the old buildings or standing on rooftops. They were all waiting for Michael to arrive.

Several minutes later, the roaring of a car engine accompanied the bright headlights of a car that was approaching.

Everyone went on alert, observing the car that was approaching. They could see that it was only one vehicle, which quite slightly puzzled the gangsters.

They had imagined that Michael might have gotten quite a few people, or maybe people from another gang to come and deal with them.

But, why did it seem like he had come alone? Was he just an idiot or was he too much arrogant?

As those questions went through their minds, the car stopped, before Michael alighted. Just about a second after he did, Kate followed, surprising the people around once again.

They had initially thought that only Michael was here upon realizing that only one car had come. But now, coming out of the Audi A4, Kate looked around, with a cautious expression on her face.

At first, there was a dumbfounded expression on the faces of the gangsters around. But then again, their faces began lighting up one after the other, realizing that the person who had accompanied Michael was actually a beauty.

"Such a fool. He came to die, but still brought over his girlfriend?"

"That chick is hot. If I can get a chance, hehe.."

"Do you guys think that he came to ask for forgiveness? Maybe he decided to offer his girlfriend as compensation?"

"Well, I think this kid has lost it. Even if he asks for forgiveness on his knees, I doubt anyone would listen to him."

"By the way, does that chick look familiar to you? I seem to have seen her somewhere."

"Yeah, she does look familiar. Oh, wait, I think I remember. Is she not the fierce police lady who was there during our battle against the blood tiger gang?"

"Now that you mention it, I also remember. She was quite fierce, managing to take down several of our brothers."

"By the way, she is the same one who was involved in the raid on our main base. Those that were arrested claimed that they ended up spending half a day and an entire night without sleep or any place to rest."

"Damn! She is quite cruel. Anyway, she is definitely going to have a hard time later on."

Just a little while after Michael and Kate got out of the car, conversations began occurring around them.

Michael simply squinted his eyes, looking around, while ignoring the conversations going on.

As for Kate, she could feel anger rising in her heart, especially when facing the lustful gazes that she was receiving.

She felt like gouging out the eyes of all those that were looking at her, to make them pay.

Still, she was not impulsive enough to start causing trouble. Until now, she did not know what plan Michael had, especially considering that there was such a large number of people here.

Michael simply observed the people around, realizing that they were in tens. It seemed that almost all the members of the shadow assembly gang were here.

Of course, it was impossible for all of them to be here, but Michael was sure that the majority of them were here.

With this, he should be able to deal with them, at least, this way, he might be able to reduce the suffering of the residents within the city by a small margin.

"I never thought that you would show up. You have quite some guts kid." Suddenly, Dante’s voice echoed, making the place go silent.

"You don’t need to worry. This is going to be the last time that you are going to see me." Michael responded.

"Oh, are you thinking of leaving? Let me tell you, even if you beg me, there is no way that you are leaving this place alive." Dante responded, his expression smug.

"It is true that I am leaving. But, you are the ones not getting out of this place. I will make sure that all of you stay here." Michael declared, shocking everyone around with his words.
