CHAPTER 99: SANTOS FAMILY, TWIST

Looking at the information that he had managed to dig out, Michael frowned.

He had used his expertise, managing to hack into several databases, just to obtain this information.

He used himself as reference, before linking it back to his parents, then digging back on their origin.

And the information that was displayed in front of Michael at the moment showed that the Santos family wasn’t simple.

According to the information that he had managed to obtain, it seemed that the Santos family was deeply linked with gangsters, rather, they were gangsters.

They were in charge of one of the two syndicates, Silent order.

Silent order was a very big syndicate, well known within the nation. It had so many big gangs under it, and had quite some deep connections within the nation.

Apart from that, the criminal activities that were committed by this syndicate were quite high, which was to be expected considering the number of gangsters under them.

There was a competition between silent order and Blood Reapers syndicates. This allowed the two of them to be able to keep each other in check, which was why they did not face much pressure from the main government.

It seemed, for the time being, the government was occupied with something else, and could not eradicate them.

But even then, eradicating these two syndicates would not be easy. After all, they had already spread their roots so deeply into the nation, not only in the dark, but even in the business world.

Some of the well-known companies were actually run by these two syndicates behind the scenes. So, eliminating them would be kind of affecting the economy of the nation.

It was no wonder that these two syndicates had managed to survive for quite a number of years.

Additionally, they had some connections within the government, which was yet another reason why they had not been eliminated.

Regardless, Michael focused on the silent order syndicate. This was the syndicate that was run by the Santos family, the very same Santos family that his father originated from.

The current leader of the silent order syndicate was Michael’s father’s father grandfather, and his grandpa.

His second in command was Michael’s uncle, who was his father’s younger brother.

According to the little information that he managed to find, it seemed that his father was the one that was supposed to take over the position of the syndicate leader.

But for some reason, it seemed that his father was not interested in getting involved in the criminal activities of the syndicate.

Or maybe, he was convinced by his wife, who was an orphan, leading to him not wanting to engage in the criminal activities, before leaving home, with his whereabouts unknown.

From the looks of it, his father had eloped with his mother, gone to Drenn city, where they stayed, and he was born.

After all, they had run away from home just about 19 years ago. This implied, there was a possibility that his mother was pregnant with him, when they ran away.

Unfortunately, they both got killed during a bank heist. During that heist, a few people ended up being killed, including his parents.

It was not that Michael had never thought about finding those that were responsible with the death of his parents, to take revenge.

It was just that, during the time that he was in Drenn city, he did not have that capability.

After all, back then, he could not earn as many SP as he could at the moment. So, he was not in a position to be able to handle an entire group of gangsters, which might have been bigger than the shadow assembly gang.

But now, as he thought about it, Michael seemed to find something fishy about it. Was there a possibility that the death of his parents was not a coincidence?

As soon as he thought about this, he immediately abandoned reading the information regarding his parent’s origins, as he focused on that incident.

In just a little while, he had managed to find the information that he wanted, including several videos and audios.

Looking at the information that he had obtained, first of all, Michael realized that the gang that was involved with the bank heist at that time was actually the Phantom gang.

Who would have thought, Michael really had to deal with this gang? During the time that he was in Drenn city, he ended up killing Daniel, who was a member of this gang.

Due to not wanting to clash with this gang, he decided to leave on the following day, early in the morning, coming to Brenton city.

But now, it seemed that the clash between them was inevitable. No matter what, he had to find those that were responsible for the death of his parents, and punish them severely.

But of course, Michael was not done with the investigation. From the videos, he could see that Daniel was actually the one that was directly in charge of the operation.

He was the one that had led the group of gangsters that went to rob the bank. And, at that time, he was not holding an important position within the gang.

But, after this incident, his position within the gang had improved, and he was supposed to be the one that was the second in command.

But for some reason, another person was the one who took the position of the second in command, instead of Daniel. It was no wonder that Daniel was always trying to take the position of the second in command all this time.

Anyway, since Daniel was involved, and the guy was already dead, Michael decided to dig deeper, to find if there was anyone else that was involved in this.

After some digging, Michael realized that Daniel seemed to have received $50,000 from an anonymous account.

Even though the bank account was anonymous, it was not impossible for Michael to be able to trace it.

In just a little while, he managed to find the transactions and activities of that account. From the looks of it, it was being used to send money to different people.

As for the purpose of the money, it was quite difficult to tell.

Regardless, Michael, finding the time of the activities, he found the time when someone visited the bank because of this account.

He managed to find a CCTV footage, which showed a person, who had gone to the bank, seemingly the owner of this account.

He was a tall man with calm, steel-blue eyes and dark brown hair swept back in a slightly tousled style. A short, well-kept beard framed his jaw, giving him a rugged but tidy look.

Using facial recognition and other methods, Michael came to realize that this person was named Aiden. He was 44 years old, though he looked quite young.

As for his origin, Michael could not find anything online. Most probably, he was not registered, or his information was never uploaded online.

Otherwise, it would have been impossible for Michael not to be able to find the information.

But this was quite puzzling. If this person did not have any information online, how was he able to open a bank account?

Most probably, this was related to some connections from behind the scenes.

Regardless, from the video, the origin of the CCTV footage was from a bank that was located in the central province.

Realizing this, Michael decided not to pursue this matter for the time being. After all, he could not go to the central province for the time being.

But of course, he would eventually go there at some point in the future. At that time, it would not be too late to deal with this guy.

Whoever it was that was responsible for the death of his parents, Michael had to make sure that they paid the heaviest price possible.

Purchasing two of them required him to spend 220 SP, deducting his SP to 27,018 .

He had acquired 11 SP from the intermediate level marksmanship skill, bringing his previous balance to 27,239.
