Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!
Chapter 560 - To the World Tree Realm and a Little Confrontation
CHAPTER 560: CHAPTER 560 - TO THE WORLD TREE REALM AND A LITTLE CONFRONTATION
Knocking out the three spying men outside was very easy for me. I simply mixed a sleeping spell with the wind, something like a lullaby that only the targets can hear, and the effects were quite immediate as they dropped to the ground. I did check if any of them have gotten hurt after fainting but being spies, their bodies are sturdy at least. There was just a few scratches and their clothes looked disheveled and dusty.
After making sure that there are no more hindrances to our departure, I woke up Arthur a bit from his sleep and told him that Marius and I are about to leave the villa. I was not sure if he clearly understood what I said but he did nod with his sleepy eyes.
His reaction time was quite slow being roused all of a sudden. Before he could respond, I stole a kiss from his lips which successfully shook all the sleepiness out of his being. His jaw dropped and I smiled in response, telling him I will be back in a month or so and that was my little "see you soon" kiss.
I turned around and skipped my way out of his room happily. I then went straight to the living room where Marius was waiting for me. When I arrived, he stared at me wordlessly for a few seconds then looked away with a scoff. He murmured, "You smell like that man".
I answered immediately in an amused tone, "I kissed Arthur a while ago since I won’t be seeing him for some time." Not expecting that I will actually answer honestly, Marius could only look at me in disbelief, his jaw dropped and speechless.
I grabbed his hand with a sweet smile on my face and before he can even start an argument with me, the teleportation has already started. I saw him flinch and close his eyes. When he opened his eyes, we are already in my favorite sea of flowers, my little refuge with Laerad.
For the first time, Laerad came out of the little white hut in the middle of the flower field this time and walked leisurely towards us. The first thing I did is smile and wave my hand on his direction. I also started walking towards him with the still shocked Marius in tow. My merfolk husband is currently still stunned and is looking around the area like a tourist and then he looked nervous as he saw the presence of the gorgeous man approaching us.
Once we are just a meter or two apart, Laerad held out his right hand towards Marius to initiate a handshake. Marius readily let go of my hand and shook Laerad’s hand out of respect.
Laerad’s introduction of himself was very short but a bit domineering as he said, "Laerad, deity and master of the world tree realm. I am also your new landlord."
I couldn’t help but giggle behind Marius as I found his Laerad’s introduction funny in a sense that he is now very comfortable and has fully accepted his role and designation as landlord and most likely, me as the landlady. Marius looked back at me in confusion as I suddenly giggled but he still looked back at Laerad and prioritized introducing himself as he said, "Marius. Merfolk. Umm... I guess I am Luna’s latest husband."
Laerad smirked, looked at me with his cold eyes and spoke, "I know about you. You are pregnant too, huh? Impressive as ever." The first two sentences were obviously for Marius but the last one is definitely a taunt to me.
The landlord is surely is his grumpy mode. I have to do something about it.
I took a few big steps towards Laerad and gave him a tight hug then a fiery kiss on the lips for a few seconds. I then stooped down a bit and hugged his waist as well then gave three loud smooches on his lower abdomen as well.
I whispered to my three overly active triplets, "Mother is here again! Did you miss me?" The trio answered through their movements as they started moving around and made gurgling sounds inside Laerad’s stomach.
When I stood up, Laerad’s face seemed to have relaxed by several degrees and he was looking at me with doting eyes this time. Whew! Fortunately, I think that calmed him down.
After calming Laerad, I looked towards Marius, his eyes were wide as he looked towards me and then Laerad, back and forth and repeatedly. I smiled at him and mouthed, "He’s my third husband." since I am sure this is the question that he had in his mind.
As for Laerad, he has always been more blunt ever since he became my official husband. He is a deity and technically, he owns this realm so I let him be.
Laerad smiled at Marius and then he said in connection to what I said, "If I remember it right, you should be husband number fourteen. As for being the latest husband, I don’t think so. She just completed some human realm paperwork to add husband number fifteen, sixteen and seventeen into our family."
I looked at Laerad and glared at him. It seems that he is back in his spying hobby again.
I responded immediately to clarify with more details, "Those are just paperwork required by the human government. I have not consummated the marriage with all of them. I met those three during my two months of immersion and field work to the north a few months back. I am just keeping the promise I made to them."
I heard Marius sigh overdramatically at the back as he said, "I don’t mind. I am just happy to be pregnant with our children. Besides, she is about to accept 11 more beastmen after me so I don’t plan to make a fuss about that."
I looked at Marius for a few second and I can see the evil glint in his eyes. I heard Laerad laugh beside me and I couldn’t help but snap my head towards his direction. He was looking at me with no trace of any annoyance as he said, "Oh, that’s good news. Does that number cover all the beastmen tribes? Have you confirmed with mother if the mission is requiring you to have a child for each tribe?"
With his response, Marius was successfully pushed out of the conversation and ignored. I can see Marius’ scowl in my peripheral vision as he was unsuccessful in provoking a negative reaction from Laerad.
I smiled helplessly at the the antics of these two pregnant men and responded to Laerad, "I haven’t had the chance to talk to her personally. I also have things I need to confirm with you too so we should talk in private one of these days."
Laerad agreed to my invitation and told me to just visit me anytime since he usually stays in the little white hut rather than in Tadhana. I nodded my head and changed the topic to moving Marius to Tadhana and setting up his own home there.
My deity husband nodded in understanding and decided to accompany us to Tadhana since he usually assists in building physical objects in the private realm so he is indeed needed there. He immediately started the teleportation for the three of us without even giving a heads up to Marius.
They are both so petty. I don’t want to react anymore. They can do whatever they want because I am no referee.
When we reappeared in the central plaza in Tadhana, my three pregnant husbands immediately felt my arrival as they hurriedly walked out of their homes to greet me. I was kind of feeling a bit of panic as these three men were almost running towards the plaza with their full term bellies. I had to shout that they do not need to hurry and just walk carefully. They all paused as if belatedly realizing that they were pregnant.
When the three finally reached the plaza, they smiled at me and I gave each husband a brief kiss on the lips. I made the same greeting towards my children as I did with Laerad. It has been my favorite gesture whenever I visit my pregnant hubbies.
There wasn’t much meet and greet to do since Makisig, Vaelion, Reiss and Marius have lived together for quite some time in Marahuyo. They don’t exactly like each other but they are currently in speaking terms and are at least polite with each other.
We spent several hours in Tadhana assisting Marius on choosing the area where he wants his little home to be built as well as his chosen environment which is underwater as he preferred. Laerad being a perfectionist and workaholic actually made a small ocean all of a sudden on Marius’ chosen spot. After the mini-ocean was created, he placed Marius’ house underwater.
Laerad also diligently added some decorations both inside and outside Marius’ house. He also made last touches by placing a teleportation portal straight to the much bigger ocean in the realm where he is building the new Ceryneia for my merfolk husband’s convenience.
I smiled at Laerad as I have known that he might be a bit petty but he never mixed his personal issues with work. After all the work was done, I left Marius to get familiar with his new home while Laerad and I went to visit Eieneos to talk to my parents.
