CHAPTER 588: CHAPTER 588 - ANOTHER SET! (PART 1)

I reached kitchen in a matter of a few seconds, I saw Reiss wincing while holding his stomach. I couldn’t help but scold myself for leaving him alone and not teleporting. Well, I panicked so I ran.

When I looked for him, he was nowhere to be found. I heard another weak groan and that was when I realized that he is currently sitting on the floor and the first thing I thought was that he slipped and fell down or he must be hurt somewhere.

I hurriedly sat next to him and placed one hand on his stomach and one hand on his lower back to check on the children and the status of his whole body. Fortunately, no broken bones, wounds or bruises can be detected on Reiss. The children’s vitals are as strong as ever too.

Just when I thought that everything is fine, I suddenly got a telepathic message from the children. My eyes widened a bit and to others, it may have looked like I was in a daze as I communicate to them. The twins simply told me that they are excited to see me and their father soon.

I telepathically responded back immediately that I am also very excited as well and that they will only need to wait a bit more and we will all meet soon. I reminded them to stay obedient and to not make their father feel discomfort or not give him any pain as much as possible when they move around to play.

There was an awkward pause as the children suddenly stopped responding for several seconds which honestly confused me. The silence stretched for a bit but eventually, they started apologizing suddenly for no apparent reason. As I asked further about their sudden shift to an apologetic tone, they apologized again since they admitted that they made their father a bit uncomfortable earlier which is the reason why he is seated on the ground and groaning when I found him.

I immediately asked, "My babies, were you playing around and hit your father by accident or something? Wait. When you mean you are both excited to see me and your father, are you saying that our first meeting will happen very soon?" They said "Yes" at the same with a playful and sing-songy tone.

Before I could respond to the kids, I heard Reiss’ weak groan again as he called my name. It successfully shook me back to the present. I saw him looking at me with worried eyes that are begging to tell him that everything is alright with him and the babies.

I immediately sent a telepathic message to my parents as well as Yoffir who should have just started settling down in the next household. It was a good thing that they arrived today. Who would have thought that his services will be needed this soon?

The next thing I did was to hug Reiss while rubbing his back gently to calm him down. He leaned his face forward on to my shoulder and he rubbed it weakly on my clothes.

I know that I just told him to calm down and I know what I am about to say is counterproductive but I don’t have any choice but to tell him what is happening to his body. It seemed that he was a bit clueless so I have to tell him what is about to happen in a bit. I sighed then whispered to him that the children are about to come out any time soon.

Elves grow up almost independently from their parents and was sent at a young age to explore the world and find the profession that is meant for them. The elven knowledge doesn’t cover everything and it is not like they will read everything in that hidden library of their. With barely no adult supervision, a young male elf would have nobody to ask and just have to take whatever life gives them then learn from it.

He looked up abruptly and started at my face with widened eyes as he finally realized why he is suddenly in such pain. His eyes turned teary as he whispered back to me, "I’m scared."

I hugged him tighter and teleported him quickly to our room. We were still seated on the ground a while ago but after a blink of an eye, we are on the bed. I laid him on the bed gently and in a more comfortable position.

I did not dare to wait till help arrive as I started channeling my mana on to his womb area to ease his pain and hopefully, his fears. I can see some form of relief in the way his furrowed brows relaxed a bit and some color returned to his face and lips.

It only took a few minutes for Yoffir to arrive as he was the nearest one out of the people that I called on to, just staying by the next house. I heard several other set of footsteps and most likely it was Reiss’ childhood friends who are worried about him but they opted to stay outside and not crowd the room.

My parents teleported after a while bringing with them what my father called his personal "childbirth essentials". It included baby clothes that he carefully prepared which were made from the softest materials as well as soft bedding and blankets made from the same material. He also has his magical feeding tool as well as two orbs with one containing my mana and another one from Reiss which he will mix to make fresh "milk" to ensure that it has the highest level of nutrition as per his words.

As the team is complete, another miraculous birth for my family is about to commence. As for the father who was previously in so much pain that he was groaning, he is currently looking drowsy and relaxed on the bed with my hand on his stomach. He doesn’t look like a man who is about to give birth at all!
