CHAPTER 593: CHAPTER 593 - EMERGENCY MEETING AT VLAELMUNDR (PART 1)

Just like Luna thought, once the first mystique children were born, it would cause a huge commotion from the side of the dragons. From the time that the curse affected the whole world, it has been almost half a millennium since a mystique child has been born from any race.

The birth of Ianthe and Iosef was not enough to rattle the dragons since they must have thought that they were just some hybrids and were most likely a fruit of the illegal experiments of some crazy elf. They failed to identify that the mana coursing in the children’s bodies were Eienean and not just some mystique mana mixed with human mana.

Due to them ignoring this single instance of a miraculous birth of twins, they failed to notice one more thing. They forgot to check on their father and the fact that he was deified. This was the reason why Luna always brought back her husbands inside the Eienean kingdom or the World Tree realm before they give birth, at least a month before the children are due. It was a way to not let the dragons know the connection of these men to her or the fact that they are being deified.

Only Eieneans have the ability to deify humans so that they would end up close to the constitution of full blooded mystiques. After Ioannis became deified and then got pregnant shortly after, the magical changes started for both him and the children in his womb. This in turn made Ianthe and Iosef hybrids but not half-human, half mystique that the dragons thought they were. The twins were half-mystique and half-deity due to Luna’s origins.

The dragons have always been passive and Luna banked on it. Such obstinate beings won’t change that easily.

The dragons have always enjoyed watching in a detached manner when everything around them crash and burn through the changes in this world, both natural and man-made. On the other hand, these dragons also prefer to stay hidden while watching over everyone that they deem was below them, sitting on their perceived pedestals untouched by time.

The dragons have always believed that they are the existences closest to the deities and gods and were of equal footing with Eieneans so everything happening in Aeocrescens that does not concern their well-being is beneath them. This proud race values bloodline, power and self-preservation among all other things even if they were technically, almost immortal existences.

Luna expected that like how they react during the previous Great Mystique War, the dragons would be detached observers and will just disregard the birth of her first set of twins. This is the reason why she started taking in humans first then deifying them. It will disguise the Eienean mana perfectly and would confuse the self-important dragons.

"They survived the troublesome times". This must be what the dragons thought all along but then the curse came in full force when the Eieneos Kingdom fell.

The dragons did everything in their power to resist the curse but their mana was easily used up as they tried to increase their curse resistances. They were the last ones to feel the brunt of the curse and that is when they realized the mistake they made when they chose not to help the Eieneans to fend off the rebellion.

Back in the present time, one of the dragons in the sanctuary called "The Seer", the only deep purple dragon of its kind, called for an emergency meeting between the leaders of all the dragon bloodlines still existing in the world. The seer detected a huge surge of mana and the existence of new lives with an oddly familiar mana signature a few weeks ago.

The seer thought it was just having a hallucination as he has been desperate for a solution to stop the dwindling numbers of their race for the longest time. He disregarded it at first but then it happened once more after a few days and one more instance almost a week after the second one happened. This time, he knew that he wasn’t hallucinating.

The mana surge produced with the birth of these 6 new lives were so faint that if one is not spiritually strong like him, he would have never noticed it. As quick as it was felt, it dissipated as if it was just an illusion. This has confirmed his earlier thoughts that the heir of Eieneos has indeed returned.

He called for a meeting to gather information that the other dragon families may have received from their spies and scouts. With the return of the heir of Eieneos, they do not have a choice but to make a deal for the continuation of their race.

They still have grave mistakes that they have to pay dearly from a long time ago whether the other dragons accept this fact or not. It seems like a very long and arduous series of negotiations will be at hand and that is if they can even find her.

It is hard to find someone who does not want to be found. And even if they find her, would she even bother to give them time for a conversation. I hope the gods bless them with luck that the Eienean queen is on a good mood when that time comes.p

The Seer named Ailstren had to wait for almost half an hour before someone from the draconic families started appearing in the preset meeting place within Vlaelmundr. He is already very much used to waiting for these people who always made him feel that he was nothing but a clown. He does not even know if they still believe in his visions since nobody really politely addresses him except for one or two of the younger leaders that is of the same generation as him, I guess.

As expected, the first one that arrived and only a bit late was one of the said polite leaders. He is the representative of the Silver Dragons and their current leader, Zeldaryn.

Seeing him, he felt a bit happy but as he looked at him, he couldn’t help but notice that he is a bit paler than usual. It was not that he is not usually pale due to his ice attributal mana but it is more of a sickly pale aura that is worrying.

Ailstren could not help but ask the other guy, "Hey, Zeldaryn. You look really sick. You can go and just send one of your siblings or even your father to this meeting if you need to rest."

Zeldaryn smiled weakly and shook his head as he replied, "I just finished an important task so I am just tired. I am perfectly fine and can still attend this meeting till the end."
