CHAPTER 597: CHAPTER 597 - THE BUG (PART 2)

After about 10 minutes from the designated time, finally, one dragon came in. The seer looked at the door and saw a young and tall gorgeously dressed man. He had platinum hair with electric blue eyes with a light gray vertical slit pupil commonly seen in dragons.

The platinum-haired man greeted the seer and called him "Alstein". Finally, I have the name for this bug.

Alstein, in return, greeted the man and called him Zeldaryn and addressed him formally as the silver dragon leader. The silver dragon leader then took a seat and they simply chatted about random things. Alstein was talking most of the time while the other was just giving short answers and a few questions once in a while.

This got me thinking, Didn’t I just get some gifts which included a beautiful silver scale? This guy might be the source of that scale.

Alstein checked on Zeldaryn as he said that he looked quite sick. Zeldaryn dismissed it due to fatigue and overwork. As for me, I think it is more because he lost one of his valuable scales and gifted it out like it was nothing.

It took another half an hour after Zeldaryn arrived when another man came in the meeting room. This one has fiery red hair. His eyes were of a bright yellow shade similar to the color of magma with a black vertical split pupil.

The two men in the room suddenly became quiet and their faces showed a bit of annoyance due to the appearance of the newcomer. As for the red-haired man, he murmured, "Oh, just the clown and the kid."

I chuckled from where I was as this dragon seemed to be on the feisty side and liked to create chaos. Alstein addressed him formally and just told him that they needed to wait for the others that are yet to arrive. I heard him say that this man’s name was Vaernar, the leader of the red dragons.

After the third person arrived in the room, the silence just remained. Alstein looked away, Zeldaryn closed his eyes while Vaernar who was seated across him was glaring at the platinum-haired man. He seemed to be pissed about being ignored.

It took another half an hour for the rest of the attendees to arrive but at least this time, all of them arrived in one go. For some reason, I feel like they met together earlier and afterwards came here once they had made a decision.

Alstein did not show any anger on his face and simply started the meeting like he did not wait for more than an hour for everyone to arrive. It seems like he’s used to them treating him this way. Here I thought that seers are special and respected in whichever race they were born from.

The meeting as expected revolved around my existence and what the dragons can do for me to speak to them or help their race out. At least they knew that their impassiveness a few centuries back has come to bite them on the ass now. I am now quite excited on what solution they will come up with.

This time, Alstein admitted to everyone that he could not find exactly where I am but surprisingly, he is quite on the mark with my life and relationship choices. This just proves that he isn’t a fake but why is that Vaernar was calling him a clown earlier?

Eventually, Alstein really was not able to explain the surge of mana but he said that the possibility of the birth of new children from other mystique races were the most likely reason. As to who the parents are or where these children are, his abilities are not enough to tell him that. Then the topic moved to finding a way to convince me to help them sire dragonlings.

Each of the elders shared their take on what needs to be done but still ended up with just opting to present to me all unmarried and rejected dragons with no offspring since the more I can choose from, the higher chances that I may like even just one.

I could only laugh since it sounded familiar. As I remember doing this kind of way when I first met Ioannis, when I met Richard the first time and next, was when I looked for Claude in the place where he was working at before.

Not that I dislike their way but it was not a new idea. For one, I am getting interested in this seer. I may also show priority to this silver dragon who has already offered gifts to me though I think nobody knows in Vlaelmundr that he already tried to foster a connection with me.

Another interesting dragon was a man named Celzikris. He had sky blue hair while his pupils were silver with a dark grey vertical slit pupil.

He was a younger man who seems to be friends with Alstein and Zeldaryn. They might be dragons that were born close in age most likely.

The man was quite vocal about not being an heir to his family, only being a proxy by someone once in a while when meetings were held. It also seems that he has accepted the fact that his only purpose is to find a mate and have dragonlings to continue their family line. Finally, in a teasing tone, he said that he is willing to offer himself to me and hopefully I would accept him.

Then, in a same teasing tone, Alstein said the same. Then the two started chuckling among themselves but I knew that they weren’t joking at all. I am sensitive to things like these.

On the other side of the table, I saw Zeldaryn smile meaningfully through Alstein’s eyes and with just one sentence, he silenced everybody around the table. He simply told Alstein and Zeldaryn, "Count me in."

I think the dragons will be fun to play with soon. I just need to do more research about them so that I can be the dominant one, once the negotiations happen. I think it is time to call somewhat trustworthy for this job.
