Invincible Young Master in the City
Chapter 887 - 883: The Violent-Tempered Junior Sister
CHAPTER 887: CHAPTER 883: THE VIOLENT-TEMPERED JUNIOR SISTER
Unlike ordinary immortals, the girl appears lively and cute, as if she lacks experience in dealing with people. She even skips while walking, resembling a pure and innocent young girl.
The girl led the way ahead, and Ye Fan observed the places they passed. He never noticed any cultivators around.
"Miss, Elder Wu mentioned that this place is where the outer disciples of the Tianxuan Sect cultivate. Why aren’t there any people?" Ye Fan asked.
"I don’t know," the girl replied straightforwardly.
A slight bitter smile appeared on Ye Fan’s face as he said, "Haven’t you cultivated in the outer sect of Tianxuan Sect before?"
The girl paused, resting her chin as she pondered, "Why cultivate in the outer sect? When I was very young, my master took me up the mountain. He’s very strict with me and rarely lets me out to play. Today, I finally persuaded him to let me come down to find you."
Ye Fan seemed to understand.
For the girl to reach a cultivation level beyond the Foundation Establishment Stage, possibly even the Golden Core Stage, at the age of eleven or twelve, her Spirit Root and innate talent must be rare in the world. Her cultivation started directly in the inner sect under her master’s guidance, bypassing the outer sect disciple stage, achieving great progress in just a few years.
The girl showed the way, bypassing the grand hall, and instead led him up the mountain via a circular stairway winding around a small hillside behind the hall. The path was filled with birdsong and fragrant flowers, steep cliffs below, coupled with the good, sunny weather, allowing Ye Fan to enjoy the scenery around Shuangfeng Mountain from above.
The girl sang joyfully ahead, her melodious voice, combined with her clear tone, was pleasant to the ear.
"Di da la, di da la..."
"Whoosh!"
Just as the girl sang cheerfully, a stream of fire transformed in the sky, and a massive stone fell straight down from overhead, like a meteor from the heavens.
Ye Fan didn’t know what happened and quickly tried to activate his Spiritual Energy, ready to retreat, as such a meteor could easily destroy Shuangfeng Mountain.
"Am I really this unlucky?" The thought surged in Ye Fan’s mind.
The girl glanced up at the falling stone, her eyebrows furrowed, she pouted, seemingly displeased that the stone interrupted her singing. Without dodging, she extended her hand directly to catch the giant stone, which appeared to be over ten meters in width.
"Thunk!" With a dull sound, Ye Fan almost thought the girl would be crushed into a bloody pancake, yet she stood unfazed, holding the stone motionless with one hand.
"So annoying!" the girl exclaimed, "Lately, more and more stones have been falling from the sky."
With that, the girl waved her hand, easily tossing the stone down the mountain, where it rolled until it eventually disappeared in the dense forest at the base.
"Di da la, di da la..." The girl continued singing and jumping as if nothing had happened.
Ye Fan felt a shiver of fear, realizing this was the Pan Gu secret realm, and earthly logic couldn’t explain certain situations, like the girl, who seemed like Popeye.
Ye Fan quickened his pace to catch up, asking, "Miss, why are there stones falling from the sky?"
"Uh?" Ye Fan’s question seemed to stump the girl, and after a long pause, she said, "My master told me that the peak of Heavenly Peak Mountain was once a gap filled by Nuwa. Usually, only a stone falls every few years, but after a day of several heavenly thunders recently, more stones started falling."
Ye Fan nodded and asked, "Are these stones from filling the sky?"
This time, the girl shook her head entirely, expressing ignorance.
Ye Fan asked no more, although her demonstrated strength left him wary. Following her to the summit of Shuangfeng Mountain before the grand hall of the sect, he glanced at the carved archway. The girl urged him, "Hurry, Master is waiting."
Ye Fan entered, arriving outside the courtyard of the hall as a beautiful woman walked over, the same Wu Ding Elder he had seen when he first climbed the mountain two days ago.
Ye Fan thought, "Could the girl be Wu Ding Elder’s disciple?"
"Sister Wu Ding..." Seeing Wu Ding Elder, the girl joyfully ran forward, as if meeting a playmate, opened her arms, and dashed into her embrace. Despite her short stature, she wrapped her arms around Wu Ding Elder’s waist, spinning around. It showed the closeness of their master-disciple relationship.
"Little Ya, did your master send you out on an errand?" Wu Ding Elder addressed her like an adorable little sister.
The girl’s face showed slight displeasure, "Sister Wu Ding, I’m grown up now, don’t call me Little Ya anymore."
Wu Ding Elder laughed, "Alright, Qing Xu, my little sister, it’s my mistake."
Ye Fan thought, realizing the girl was called Qing Xu, a name sounding less feminine and more like an old Taoist. Yet compared to Wu Ding, Qing Xu sounded somewhat better.
Qing Xu pouted, "Hmph, that’s more like it. Hehe, Sister Wu Ding, it’s been ages since I’ve seen you and Sect Master. I want to hear our Sect Master tell stories."
"I’ll take you to see my master later, but for now, your master is still waiting for him." Wu Ding Elder glanced at Ye Fan with a satisfied smile on her face.
"Alright." Qing Xu immediately ignored Ye Fan, her eyes only for her playful sister.
Wu Ding Elder approached and said, "Nephew, everything well?"
"Greetings to Elder Wu Ding," Ye Fan quickly saluted.
"No need for formality. My elder has been waiting inside for some time. Come along." Wu Ding Elder led Qing Xu by the hand and guided them through two courtyards, reaching the main hall, which was open. Inside, a serene Taoist nun, looking around fifty, was painting Tai Chi Yin-Yang symbols in the air with her brush.
Ye Fan guessed this was likely the Tianxuan Sect’s cultivation technique.
Focusing on the form alone, without knowing the method, each sect possesses its unique cultivation method, with incantations and techniques unknown to outsiders.
"Aunt, the little sister brought him," Wu Ding Elder smiled.
"Hmm." The Taoist nun turned aside, her face kindly, looking at Ye Fan with a gentle gaze.
Qing Xu released Wu Ding Elder’s hand, ran over, and happily looked up at her master, "Master, I’ve completed the task you assigned!"
"Good." The Taoist nun affectionately stroked Qing Xu’s small head, letting her stand beside her. The girl looked somewhat proud while observing Ye Fan.
The Taoist nun looked at Ye Fan, saying, "Are you the newly accepted junior disciple of the Li Huo Sect’s eldest disciple?"
Ye Fan pondered briefly, realizing the reference was to Zhuo Junwu. He hurried to salute, "Ye Fan, fourth disciple of Li Huo Sect, greets the elder."
Since Wu Ding Elder referred to her master, this Taoist nun should be on the master’s generation, hence the respectful title of ’elder’ with an ’old’ prefix.
The Taoist nun smiled, "Indeed you have a Pure Yang constitution, with boundless prospects ahead."
