It was Sunday, and I woke up really late.

    It was already past 8:00 and that day my mom also didn''t wake me up.

    I woke up washed my face, brushed my teeth and went straight to the dining room.

    I asked mom for breakfast, I didn''t notice that my mom was not there in the kitchen.

    There I saw a lunchbox with some sandwiches and a note.

    I took the lunch box and went straight to my mom''s room, she was sleeping like a log. I think last night she drunk a lot and that''s why she was sleeping this late.

    Mom was really happy after inviting Mrs Ema, there was just me to support my mom since my dad got a foreign job but still, I could not help her in every aspect.

    She can not share everything with me, she needs someone to talk with and I guess after Mrs Ema''s shifting in our house she got that someone to share things with.

    I then went back to the dining table started eating boxed breakfast and open the note to see what was written on that.

    It said-

    " Hey Kevin, today I have to go visit my Grandma so I would have left already while you are reading this note.

    Our Mom''s were very tired so I left without waking them, also I thought you will feel hungry after waking up so I cooked breakfast for you.

    Also, they are not as great as your cooking but still eat those sandwiches

    A growing boy needs to eat a well-balanced breakfast :p and also take care of lunch, I''ll be back by evening."

    I was smiling after reading that.

    I don''t know why I read all that in her tone but I could sense that she was taunting me.

    But I was really happy because she made breakfast for me.

    Then the rest of the day went pretty smoothly, my mom got up at 9:00 and she was all hazy. I said to her that you eat your breakfast and relax, I''ll cook lunch today.

    She replied " Don''t you have your assignments to complete, just go study.

    I can cook lunch."

    She said all that in a low tone but then I replied " Don''t worry I already completed my assignment, it was quite easy so I''ll just cook lunch today.

    You should drink some lemonade and relax."

    I said that purposefully because she had a. Hungover.

    I then cooked lunch and went to my room,

    I did half of my assignment and then took a break to eat lunch with mom and Mrs Ema and then went back to do the latter half.

    I was all tired after lunch and assignment so I slept, when I woke up it was 5:00.

    I then went to the kitchen, brewed some coffee and sat on the couch. I was watching some action movie. A few moments later mom and Mrs Ema arrived, we were watching a movie together but then Mrs Ema said, it''s getting dark and Ana still didn''t arrive.

    I then remembered, Ana went to her Grandma''s house for a visit but she was not back yet.

    I said, " Should I go bring Ana."

    They were both surprised, but then to reduce the awkwardness I said,

    "I was already going to shop near your previous house so I thought I will ask Ana to come home."

    Now I have to buy something to show in return.

    Mrs Ema then said

    " Ohh, so that''s what it was.

    Ok Kevin, please call Ana home.

    It will be dangerous if she came alone late at night. "

    My mom was quiet, she didn''t say a thing.

    I then wore my jacket and left the home.

    I cycled all the way to the shop bought something that I could show on returning.

    Then when I reached Ana house, I saw Ana standing outside the house and talking with a man.

    I didn''t know who he was but his face was kind of scary, he was talking rudely with Ana

    so I went straight there and asked

    " Who are you? "

    Then I turned towards her and asked

    " Is this man bothering you? "

    She was quiet, then suddenly he said

    " I am his dad, who are you to interfere in our matter. "

    I startled, but then I was quiet. I didn''t know what to say at that time. But then the way he was talking with Ana was quite disturbing.

    " Why your mom divorced me, just tell me. I just left that job because I wanted to do something else.

    Also, they were not paying me enough.

    At least you should have convinced your mom to not leave the house.

    I was upset that''s why I was drinking too much at that time.

    (pause)

    Just come back home, where are you living right now just tell me. "

    He said all that very rudely. Ana was quiet, she didn''t say a word but then he grabbed her hand a was saying,

    " Come back home"

    After seeing all this, I lost my temper and said" Hey Mr. whosoever you are, just leave her alone.

    Mrs Ema has already filed a divorce. So now you don''t mean anything to them.

    Just leave them alone."

    I said all that in a high voice while releasing her hand.

    That man was seriously pissed but after I said all that, the nearby public gathered and he was not able to do a thing.

    He left quietly by saying, I''ll be back.

    I was scared by his looks but then I said don''t worry Ana, he is not going to do a thing.

    When he left, Ana bursts in tears, she was crying but then I said

    " It''s all okay. There''s nothing to worry about, I am here.

    (pause)

    I mean, we are here for you. "

    She didn''t say a thing but then she wiped her tears. I bought my cycle so in a funny accent I said,

    " Today since you made breakfast for me I will give you a special bicycle ride. "

    I said that to relax her mood,

    She then smiled a little and said

    " Okay"

    She then sat behind me and we left. I was thinking about all that happened but then suddenly she pinched my t-shirt with one hand.

    I didn''t know why she pinched my t-shirt but I was happy, I felt like she was trusting me at that time.
