Is It Wrong to Abusing Cartoon Tropes in Dungeon?
Chapter 237 237: CA [237]: Realm
Anyone familiar with the Sharingan's Kamui would recognize its utility, a truly versatile ability!
Fenrir's subspace, much like Kamui, could swallow objects. By leveraging this trait, it should be possible to launch attacks akin to Kamui, right?
Altair had considered developing this ability himself, but his own spatial pocket was just that, a pocket. He couldn't enter it.
"Since the subspace can store objects, could it hold living beings? Like you, Rinslet?"
"Me?" Rinslet pointed at herself, then glanced at Fenrir, picturing the wolf opening its jaws to swallow her whole.
"Uh… I don't think that's possible."
The image was too bizarre, not to mention terrifying.
"Don't be afraid. It's a powerful ability." Altair reassured her, understanding her fear. After all, the subspace wasn't in her eyes but in her spirit, Fenrir, a wolf.
"Think of it from the perspective of an Elemental Waffe."
"Elemental Waffe?"
"Exactly. Fenrir's ice abilities are retained when he transforms into your magic bow, correct? So, could his subspace ability also be preserved? As the bow's wielder, could you channel that subspace power through it?"
"I've never considered that." Rinslet admitted, astonished. She'd instinctively seen herself as an archer when Fenrir became a bow, relying on shooting arrows or, at most, ice magic. She'd defined herself as a long-range ice elementalist.
Now, Altair was telling her the subspace could be used for attacks?
"But how would I use the subspace to attack?"
"Come, let's go to the Elemental Realm. I'll teach you."
"Alright!"
Rinslet led Altair to the academy's teleportation circle, transporting them to the Elemental Realm.
The Elemental Realm, home to spirits, was a distinct world from the human one. It was where elementalists trained and where the Blade Dance festival was held, as battles here didn't affect the human world.
In Altair's eyes, the realm was a fantastical landscape, trees glowing with magic, rivers shimmering with fluorescence, steeped in elemental energy.
It was the perfect training ground for elementalists, whose techniques were often too destructive for the human world unless nations were at war.
Altair had little to teach Rinslet about ice magic; her skills were already formidable. Unless she could freeze time itself, there wasn't much to add.
His focus was on spatial magic.
"Can you feel it? The spatial power hidden within the bow."
In the Elemental Realm, Fenrir had transformed into a blue magic bow, gripped by Rinslet. Altair sat behind her, one arm around Est, the other patting her head, while Carol watched nearby.
"I… I can't seem to." Rinslet admitted.
"Don't rush. Try communicating with Fenrir. The subspace is within him. Ask him to guide you."
"Got it, Master Altair."
In the original story, a villain-controlled Fenrir used its subspace to swallow attacks, proving its offensive and defensive potential, much like Kamui.
Rinslet closed her eyes, raising the bow, and communed with Fenrir. Though not a supreme spirit with a humanoid form, Fenrir was a high-ranking spirit, capable of communication through their contract. With his guidance, Rinslet finally sensed the subspace hidden within the bow.
"I feel it, Master Altair!" She exclaimed, opening her eyes.
"Good. Now try using that spatial power with Fenrir's help. Wrap yourself in it, placing yourself in the subspace while leaving a projection outside. It'll look like you're still there, but it's just an illusion."
Intangibility, a Kamui-like ability, a devastating surprise attack for the unprepared.
"I'll try."
Rinslet closed her eyes again, following Altair's instructions, communing with Fenrir to wield the subspace.
But as she began, her body suddenly went limp, collapsing backward.
Altair quickly set Est down and rushed to her, catching her by the waist and holding her close to prevent her from falling.
"Rinslet, what's wrong?"
"Master Altair, I tried as you said, but… it drained all my divine power."
Too much consumption? That made sense, spatial abilities were notoriously demanding.
"I see. Then let's try with my power."
Altair kept one arm around Rinslet's slender waist, steadying her against him, and grasped her hand holding the bow.
"Wha, Master Altair, this is…" Rinslet stammered, her face flushing as he enveloped her.
"This way, you won't fall. You're low on strength right now, aren't you?"
"Y-Yes…"
"So, relax. I'll support you and lend you my power. Use it to tap into Fenrir's spatial ability."
"Yes… Master Altair… I understand… Please give me your power!"
Blushing, Rinslet looked up at him and slowly closed her eyes.
Altair froze, staring at her. Wait, did she misunderstand? He could transfer magic with his hands, she wasn't a Godslayer requiring a kiss.
But seeing her adorable expression, he decided this misunderstanding was… delightful.
"Um… Master Altair… could you shield me a bit? Carol and Est are watching, and if they see clearly, I'll be… embarrassed."
As Altair grinned to himself, Rinslet, her head against his chest, whispered her request.
"No problem, leave it to me."
He whispered back, positioning his taller frame to block Carol and Est's view. From their angle, they'd only see his broad back, aware he was supporting Rinslet.
Then, hidden from their sight, Altair leaned down and kissed Rinslet, who waited with her head tilted up.
"Mmm~"
The soft sensation from last night returned as their lips met. Altair felt Rinslet tremble, emitting a cute sound, yet she didn't pull away.
Right in front of Est and Carol, they kissed openly… yet secretly, like a stolen moment in front of a spouse, thrilling Altair.
But he didn't just indulge. As they kissed, he channeled his magic through their lips into her body. Rinslet felt a warm power surge within, rapidly replenishing her.
Her drained divine power was replaced by this potent force, instantly restoring her.
This was Master Altair's power, just like last night, strong, warm, filling her completely. He was incredible.
Feeling invigorated, Rinslet stood on her toes. Sensing her movement, Altair tightened his grip on her waist, pulling her closer.
Only when Rinslet lowered her feet did he relax his hold, lifting his head from her lips.
"Hah… hah…" Rinslet panted, cheeks flushed.
"How's that, Rinslet? Ready?"
"Y-Yes… Master Altair, I'm full of power now."
She replied softly.
"Then try again, with the power I gave you."
"Yes, Master Altair!"
Reinvigorated, Rinslet smiled confidently, looking at the bow in her hand. Leaning against Altair, she closed her eyes, communing with Fenrir. This time, bolstered by his magic, she wielded the subspace successfully.
A spatial force enveloped her, and even Altair, holding her, was included. They appeared to stand there, but were actually within the subspace.
Intangibility activated successfully!
"Master Altair! I did it!"
Rinslet shouted joyfully.
"I felt it, Rinslet. You're a genius!"
Altair released her bow hand, patting her head.
"Hehe, Master Altair, can we try the other ability you mentioned?"
"Yes. Now, let's try using the subspace for an attack!"
Dual Kamui, one for defense, one for attack. With defense mastered, it was time for offense.
Altair had Rinslet deactivate intangibility and use the subspace for an attack. Unlike Kamui, this spatial cutting ability used an arrow as a medium. When the arrow hit, it would create a spatial vortex, shredding the target with spatial force.
Under Altair's guidance, Rinslet mastered this technique.
Her offensive and defensive capabilities were now greatly enhanced.
Rinslet was undeniably a prodigy among elementalists, mastering intangibility and spatial attacks in mere minutes.
"Master Altair, I've got it down perfectly."
"Excellent, Rinslet. You've unlocked Fenrir's true power."
"It's all thanks to you, Master Altair. I couldn't have learned this magic without your guidance."
"No need for modesty. You're my chosen contractor, a true genius."
"Master Altair… um…"
"What is it?"
"My power's running low again, and I still have to fight Claire… so…"
Looking at the shy girl in his arms, Altair smiled.
"I understand. Leave it to me."
The golden-haired youth leaned down, kissing the girl in his embrace once more.
