'First you feel the world around you and the energy that's present all around you, as well as inside of you.'

Unlike Mana of the mages, the arcane sorcery isn't something that can be used with the Arcanum in the atmosphere.

One can only channel it and cultivate it inside of their body over a long period. Even if someone tried using this energy directly, they would not be able to do it.

Since it's something that mostly resides inside of the user, it will ultimately have to be channeled from the inside.

'Not even someone blessed like her can do it.'

Yet, as the teacher watched, he was met with a scene that surely was more amazing than what he had expected at first.

'She learned how to feel the Arcanum in a few hours, and now she's already channeling the energy.'

As he watched the young child channel the Arcanum inside of her into a line of strings, he was surprised by the finesse of the strings as well as their visual display.

'I only told her to make strings, but she's practically making an art piece.'

What do you understand by the word 'string'? A line of thread with no great elements to it, right? It's fundamentally something that doesn't seem much appealing in the first place.

However, the strings that she was clearing, each one of them were refined.

They seemed like a rope that was made as a decorative piece, with each of its threads intertwined with a different technique than the rest.

'I didn't teach her any of it…'

He was aware that Anna had learned a few things from her brother already including how to channel her energy and create the threads that are needed in the arcane energy arts.

He knew the young master of the Heliox, the amazing Axion, wasn't a simple person.

He was already a superstar all over the empire.

There were things about him that many people did not even know about. He wasn't only a great inventor and translator, he was also one of the Pioneers of unique fields in the world of magic.

His unique ways, formulas, equations, questions, and ideas were a topic of discussion even among the old ones like him. So, he already knew there were depths to that person that even he did not know about.

He had also found out that despite not being in the academy, that person wasn't home either. He did not know where that person was, and this young lady before him had always said it was a secret, he could not find anything about his whereabouts.

He wanted to have a talk with him personally, learn how he was able to teach something so unique and incredible to such a young girl without not being experienced in the field, but he didn't get the chance.

'He's only available after a few months so until then, I shall focus on this young lady before me.'

But even as he wanted to do so, he was constantly getting distracted by the surprising things that she was showing him.

"That is enough for now, young Miss." Stopping her and carefully absorbing the arcane strings she had made into a small crystal, he watched after her as she came out of her focused state.

"Wah…" Anna was almost going to fall from dizziness but the little elephant beside her supported her instantly, helping her sit back down safely.

"Have this, young Miss." The teacher gave her the orb as well as a little snack.

It was a red candy, something special that Anna took and ate without any hesitation.

"Wow…" And as soon as she did, she felt all her dizziness vanish away instantly.

"Do you like it? Haha, it's a common medicine among us arcane sorcerers. It's not good to have it frequently though."

The taste of the candy-like medicine was sweet like a candy and the old teacher could tell she was going to ask her mom about a lot more of these candies later, but hearing his warning brought a sad expression on her face.

"Wah… It's so delicious though…" Little Anna was disappointed that she couldn't have that candy often.

She loved it, and the effects of the candy were also pretty good. She felt like she was completely fine for another round of training already.

But her teacher shook his head at her and stopped her train of thoughts.

"This isn't a cure for fatigue, young Miss. When the arcane energy users channel the arcanum inside of them, they stimulate various functions of their bodies.

The dizziness is the result of one's mind's stimulation. You use your mental energy to move the arcanum and since you're not proficient enough, when you try to create elaborate strings like these, you consume more mental stamina than you would when using the simpler strongs."

She possessed a very pure quality of arcanum, a kind that not even his oldest arcane beast possessed.

She was different from the usual arcane sorcerer already, and her mental stamina was also like that of the knights.

She was great, but that greatness of hers might result in her death on an actual battlefield.

"Strings like these are good for practicing the creation, however, you should not use it for actual combat." The teacher sat beside her and smiled once again.

Then, instead of just telling her, he created the same kind of pretty strings that she had with his own arcane energy, as well as a set of more simple, normal ones.

"Look here, young miss."

It was already evening time and the sun had set below the horizon as well.

The night was upon them, the evening birds had also returned to their nests.

Nolan looked from her window, the joy of her child obvious to the mother. Similarly, from a floor above her, the grandmother looked at her grandchild, the happiness on face a soothing wind to her ageing heart.

The aunts weren't around this evening as they prepared for her next lessons for tomorrow, but even the old grandfather watching the young girl from the other side of the garden could not help but feel a little relieved.

'She's finally looking full again.'

Her intense desire to become better, to become cooler like her siblings, to show them cool things and ultimately, become someone like them was her goal.

She was working hard to achieve it already, but no one in her family was able to provide her the kind of guidance she needed when it came to her unique arcane arts.

The few days after she came back from the forest with her siblings, the look of longing she had as she practiced what Eon had taught her by herself was evident to all of them.

But now that they were seeing her happy look and those familiar stars in her eyes as she watched her teacher create a string formation from both of the strings, they were glad that she finally had someone that could help her.

Also, since they trusted this person, they knew they could leave their precious gem in his capable hands.

"Do you see the difference, young Lady?" He asked gently when he was finished with the formation.

Both of the formations were identical. Anna knew she could make something like that if she tried as well, but even if it wasn't complex or anything, the formation was still unique.

Even she would have to practice for a few days to perfect it.

"The other string is thicker, teacher." She answered as best as she could. Aside from the difference in the thickness of the formations, she could not find any visible differences.

"Try again, haha. Instead of just looking at it with your eyes, feel it this time. Just like we practiced earlier, alright?"

To feel, to channel, and to utilize.

She was forgetting the basics already. And her teacher was delighted to see this silly mistake.

"Hmmm? Alright…"

As he guided her, she closed her eyes and tried feeling the difference between the formations of the strings.

Both seemed the same and were made with the same kind of energy so she didn't think there would be anything too different about it, but this was a basic formation of arcane arts.

"Do you feel it?"

"...!"

When she tried, she actually felt a noticable difference between both of the string formations.

"That one's bad!" she shouted loudly, her teacher almost breaking a chuckle at her surprise.

"Teacher! Teacher! Why is it like that! It feels sooooo wrong!"

The formation with the simple strings seemed fine and 'smooth' to her. There was no blockage in it. Overall, she just felt it was right… like how it was supposed to be.

But the same was not the case with the one made with the strings similar to the ones she had created.

The formation felt jagged. She almost didn't want to feel it.

Individually, the strings were fine. They weren't dangerous or rough, but when they were woven into this formation, they became irregular.

She could feel it was wrong. She could feel whatever they were meant for, would not work with this formation.

And for figuring it out by just feeling it, the teacher once again praised her with a head pat.

"That's right." He utilized his Arcanum and activated the formation.

-Ooooooooong!

The moment he did that, both of the formations glowed with a different kind of light: one intense while the other was lighter.

-Spark!

A spark was created before them and, in the blink of an eye, a small fireball was created before the formations.

"The arcane teachings guide us through a simple path. The simpler your string formations and the higher your attention to the harmony of the formation, the better the results would be, young Miss."

The formation with the simpler strings created an ideal fireball that seemed cool as well, however, despite the unique color and texture of the fireball created from the attractive strings, the fire that was produced itself was neither hot nor stable.

The attractive fireball vanished instantly, while the other one stayed for much longer, reminding Anna something her big brother had once told her.

"The nobleness of simplicity…" She mumbled, forcing her teacher to blink at her in surprise.

He didn't expect a child like her would know a phrase like that, much less understand it at a moment like this.

"That's right."

But then again, she realised this was no ordinary child.

"Let's be simple for now."

He just had to accept it at this point.

This was his lifestyle from now on…
