PAID Chapter 59

Mihyang watched as Seungwoon stormed out of the car, his movements rough and unsteady. Alarmed, she quickly followed. She had ridden in her son’s car countless times, but never before had his driving been so reckless, a reflection of his turbulent emotions.

Once they were away from prying eyes, he became unresponsive. The polite and mild-mannered son she knew was nowhere to be found. Instead, he drove as if possessed, consumed by a singular focus to reach home as quickly as possible.

Perhaps this is for the best, she thought. Whatever it is, we can talk it out calmly at home.

With this thought, Mihyang entered the house. As they approached the entrance, Manager Kim opened the door and bowed respectfully.

“Young Master, welcome ba—”

The sound of flesh hitting flesh echoed harshly. Manager Kim staggered backward, collapsing onto the floor as Mihyang’s sharp scream pierced the air.

“Seungwoon!”

Seungwoon didn’t even flinch, nor did he breathe heavily. He simply stood still, staring down coldly at the man sprawled on the floor, clutching his face in shock.

Mihyang’s heart sank as she realized what her son intended to do. Sure enough, the moment Manager Kim shakily got to his feet, Seungwoon struck him again, sending him sprawling like a ragdoll.

“Na Seungwoon! Have you lost your mind? What on earth are you doing?”

Mihyang ran to stand between them, determined to stop her son, but froze in her tracks.

Seungwoon’s face betrayed no hint of anger or passion, only an icy, detached expression. His composure was so unsettling that it made her shiver.@@novelbin@@

“Why are you doing this? Why are you hitting Manager Kim?” she asked, her voice trembling.

“Ask him yourself,” Seungwoon said, his voice devoid of inflection. “See if my actions are excessive.”
