Laid-Back Life in Tokyo: I Really Didn't Want to Work Hard
Chapter 374 - 278 Happy Life
CHAPTER 374: CHAPTER 278 HAPPY LIFE
Friday, a few days later.
Compared to high school, college life is truly more leisurely.
Studies rely entirely on self-discipline, whether or not to study a course is all up to one’s own will.
Of course, the premise is to pass the exams at the end of the term.
With nothing to do in the afternoon and the tutor not around, Uesugi Sakura called a taxi and headed home first.
The city’s street scenes slowly receded outside the car window, with each insignificant frame lingering in the mind for only half a day, then quickly passing by.
Memories of these images are fleeting, much like the past twenty-something years which seem like a dream—both real and illusory.
Only a few fragments remain, and that gear-like life.
Getting off the car and back at the doorstep, Uesugi Sakura took the keys out of his pocket to open the door.
"I’m back."
.....
No one responded, in fact, it was just past noon, and Hanabi still being at school was normal.
A few days ago, their small band was caught on camera and posted online; perhaps because Hanamaru Hanabi’s presence was too striking, many people left messages asking for her contact information.
Asking whether there was anything like sns.
Unfortunately, Hanamaru Hanabi only had an artist account on Twitter and had never shown her face, so no one could recognize her.
Changed into slippers in the entryway, stepped into the foyer.
Shouting ’I’m back’ isn’t annoying, the annoying part is when no one responds.
That feeling of proactively reminding yet receiving no response can make one feel disappointed and lonely.
In other words, Uesugi Sakura felt a lack of security not hearing Hanabi’s soft ’Welcome back.’
Unable to leave a certain person, perhaps the heart feels empty when they aren’t around.
The first thing upon returning home was making a cup of coffee for himself before flipping through books at the desk to study.
This slow-paced life is actually quite nice.
The bedroom carried Hanabi’s fragrance, and just this alone made it feel more wonderful than the study hall.
Some problems look simple, like 2^p + p^2 = prime, prove the prime p.
At first glance, it’s obvious the answer is 3, but proving it isn’t as simple as plugging numbers in.
After studying for two hours, Uesugi Sakura stretched lazily, washed the empty coffee cup, and then went to the balcony for fresh air.
The gentle breeze brushed the face, and the warm sunshine began to emanate some of June’s summer air.
It wasn’t too cold here, nor too hot—lacking the chill of December’s snow and the relentless heat of July’s blazing sun.
Hanamaru Hanabi’s clothes were hanging beside, alongside Uesugi Sakura’s on the other side.
She did all his laundry; as for the intimate apparel... Hanabi didn’t mind, but he still thought it better to wash them himself, knowing that doing so might make Hanabi blush.
Leaning his arms on the balcony’s rail, he also thought about how she blushed shyly in front of him.
Why hasn’t she returned yet?
Uesugi Sakura watched the pedestrians on the street below, trying to spot her among the crowd walking back.
But after half an hour of watching, he still hadn’t seen her.
Feeling a bit downhearted.
"I’m back."
That soft voice made his heart race to the entrance.
Hanamaru Hanabi at the entryway just kicked off her shoes, revealing her small white stocking feet, and saw Uesugi Sakura standing right in front of her.
"Sakura-kun?"
"No classes today? You’re back so early." Uesugi Sakura said, noticing the groceries she just brought from Don Quijote.
This should be tonight’s dinner.
"Yes, but didn’t you say Aei-chan and the others are coming over today?"
"They should be coming in the evening; it’s still some time until they finish class." Uesugi Sakura took the plastic bag she was carrying.
"Thank you, Sakura-kun. Actually, Hanabi wanted to prepare early," Hanamaru Hanabi, putting on slippers, noticed he was staring at her, "Sakura-kun?"
Uesugi Sakura placed the bag aside, stepped forward to hold her hand, and closed his eyes as he moved closer to her soft lips.
Gently held her soft lips with his teeth, the wonderful taste lingering in his mouth like eating an entire block of honey—such a sweet feeling left him wanting more, unable to part.
Kissing and nibbling softly, the flame in his heart grew brighter.
Uesugi Sakura couldn’t help but embrace the girl’s slim waist, moving along the graceful curve upwards, his arm passing through her slender arms, feeling the smooth hair, holding her little head, making their lips press closer together.
After a long, drawn-out "good afternoon," there was still the sweet silkiness of her fragrance hanging at the corner of his mouth.
"Sakura-kun... what’s going on?" Hanamaru Hanabi’s face flushed with a layer of red, shyly lowering her head.
"Just saying ’good afternoon’, that’s all."
"But, is there such a way of greeting..."
"There is, isn’t there right now?"
Hanamaru Hanabi knew he was being unreasonable, but no matter how it was, she never hated it; instead, there was a sweet taste when she pressed her lips together.
"When we get married, how about I buy you a big house?" Uesugi Sakura gestured.
"Why buy such a big one, Sakura-kun? We don’t need that much space, renting is fine too."
Perhaps on some subconscious level, Uesugi Sakura always thought of buying a big house, the type with a garden.
"To cultivate flowers, manage it, sit together at night and watch the moon—isn’t that nice."
"Actually..." Hanamaru Hanabi whispered, "we could also watch the moon together on the balcony, no need to spend so much of Sakura-kun’s money."
"The most important thing is, I want the feeling of life, patiently enjoying it with you, nurturing flowers, sipping coffee," Uesugi Sakura rubbed her slightly cold little hands, wanting to warm her, "and later any study room or whatever, we can organize it ourselves, set it up the way we want—the feeling of building our little world, isn’t it wonderful?"
