CHAPTER 118: CHAPTER 118: LEAVING WITH LUNA

Elias Warner sped all the way to the apartment where Annelise Winter used to live.

"Get out of the car and go get the clothes!"

Elias stared coldly.

"I’m not going. There are too many people here. I don’t want to go!"

She didn’t want to be seen by Renee Perry’s people here.

"You’re not going? Or you can’t get them back? Annelise, I know you too well; you don’t know how to lie!" Elias glared at Annelise’s fidgeting fingers.

"Yes, I sold the clothes, but... but I had no other choice!"

Annelise explained.

"No other choice? What choice?"

"I needed money!"

Annelise didn’t hide it.

"You needed money? What did you need the money for? So much that you had to sell my clothes?"

Elias sneered coldly.

"Yes, I did need money. How could a young master from a wealthy family understand how helpless it is to need money?"

Annelise was hysterical.

It seemed like she was back in the time before Luna’s surgery when she was overwhelmed every day trying to gather money.

The ash danced on his fingertips.

"Fine, since you sold the clothes, you’ll buy them back the same way!"

Annelise nodded, "Don’t worry, I will buy that piece of clothing back!"

"Get out! Get out of the car!"

Elias frowned and shouted at Annelise.

Annelise opened the car door and stepped out.

The black Cullinan drove away quickly.

Leaving Annelise standing alone on the street.

Luna’s eyes were misty, feeling sad at the thought of possibly not seeing her Dad.

Annelise felt heartbroken; Luna’s tears were like daggers piercing her deeply.

But she couldn’t leave Luna with Elias; only by staying away from Elias could they be free from danger.

"You can still see Dad, but we just can’t live together with him anymore, but you can still see him!"

Anyway, it was better to comfort her daughter first.

If she told her that she might not see Elias again, she would be very sad.

Annelise saw that Luna’s mood and condition indeed improved significantly while with Elias.

Annelise called her brother again, but his phone was unreachable.

Annelise knew that Renee Perry must have controlled her brother; otherwise, how could she not reach him?

Thinking about the way her brother talked to her last time, there was no doubt.

So, Annelise decided to go to The Sandalwood to find Renee.

She took a cab, feeling heart-wrenched for the disasters she brought upon her brother all these years.
