Landing on Her Heart: Mr. Warner, Let's Get Back Together!
Chapter 121: Where Did Luna Go
CHAPTER 121: CHAPTER 121: WHERE DID LUNA GO
"Miss Winter, are you not at home? Luna is missing, do you know?"
It was Uncle Ford’s call, and he seemed very anxious.
"Mr. Winter, don’t worry. Tell me, what on earth has happened?" Annelise naturally knew that Uncle Ford must have discovered that Luna was missing.
"Miss Winter, Luna is missing. I checked the surveillance and found no trace of her leaving, but we discovered a note left by Luna in her room, with messages from Luna’s mother and Luna herself. Luna’s mother has taken her away!"
Uncle Ford couldn’t find anything on the surveillance and didn’t know how to explain this to Elias Warner.
Originally, he thought that since Annelise was at home, it was impossible for her to leave Luna alone.
"Don’t worry, I’m coming back immediately, wait for me!" Annelise reassured him.
"Miss Winter, should we tell the young master about this?" Uncle Ford was uncertain whether to inform Elias Warner about it.
"Don’t tell him yet; he should be on a flight now, and it would be dangerous if he’s affected!"
Annelise advised, but she was selfishly motivated, needing to return and see if she left any evidence of taking Luna herself.
Annelise handed Luna over to Mrs. Lu, roughly for about half an hour. Annelise had already returned to Elias Warner’s villa.
Uncle Ford was pacing back and forth at the door.
Always watching the spot where someone would approach the door.
Seeing Annelise, he quickly ran to greet her.
Annelise had never seen Uncle Ford so flustered before; she felt very guilty inside.
"Miss Winter, Luna is missing. Did you go out? No one was home, and Luna got lost. What should we do?"
Uncle Ford handed the note left by Luna and her mother to Annelise.
"This is what Luna and her mother left behind."
Seeing her own note again, Annelise’s mood was extremely complicated.
"Did you call Luna’s mother?" Annelise asked.
"I did, but no one answered!" Uncle Ford frowned.
"I didn’t expect this; I had an urgent matter to meet Chloe Joyce, and I was only out for about half an hour!" Annelise told Uncle Ford.
During this time, Annelise had prepared her plan.
She avoided the surveillance, first took Luna out, and then came back to create the illusion of leaving through the front door.
Creating a false appearance of leaving from the main entrance.
"Oh, what to do now!" Uncle Ford worried; he couldn’t explain it to Elias Warner when he came home.
"Luna was taken away by her mother; there shouldn’t be any danger, so you don’t need to worry!" Annelise comforted him.
"Buzz... Buzz..."
Before Uncle Ford could reply, Annelise’s phone rang again.
"Annelise, it’s my grandfather’s 80th birthday tonight. There’s a dinner party at my house. Will you come?" Sylvia Lowell wanted Annelise to come, and she was eager to ask how things were between her and Elias Warner.
"Of course, I’ll definitely come for grandpa’s 80th birthday!"
Annelise thought to herself that she rarely saw Sylvia’s grandfather when she went to the Lowell Family, only once made a quick greeting, and then left the house.
This time, she had the opportunity to see him for sure, since he was her best friend.
After hanging up, Annelise glanced at Uncle Ford: "Uncle Ford, you don’t have to worry about Luna. She should have gone with her mother, as long as there’s no threat to her life! I have to go to my friend’s grandfather’s 80th birthday party now, and we’ll talk about this when I get back."
Having said that, she decided to prepare a suitable gift for Sylvia’s grandfather.
Seeing Annelise leave, Uncle Ford sighed but didn’t say anything more.
Evening
Elias Warner got off the plane and saw Uncle Ford waiting for him just as he exited the airport.
He frowned, realizing something must have happened.
"Uncle Ford, why are you here?"
Uncle Ford took Elias Warner’s luggage and frowned, "Young master, Luna was taken away by her mother!"
"What? Why didn’t you tell me about this? And did you see Luna’s mother? Why didn’t you keep her here?" Elias Warner had never thought Uncle Ford would handle things like this.
"No, young master, I never saw Luna’s mother. All I saw was a drawing!" Uncle Ford apologized.
"A drawing? What drawing?"
Frowning, Elias Warner took the drawing from Uncle Ford.
Suddenly, Elias Warner felt a sense of loss.
He had developed feelings for Luna after spending so much time with her.
Hearing the news of Luna’s departure, he felt indescribably sad.
Holding the drawing, Elias Warner immediately called Luna’s mother.
But the call couldn’t go through on the other end either.
"This woman is so impolite, how could she quietly take Luna away? And she’s unreachable by phone, I really want to see what this woman looks like!"
"Young master... I didn’t see the figure of Luna’s mother on the surveillance!" Uncle Ford felt guilty.
"Wearing a mask again? Looking like she can’t be seen in public?"
Elias Warner walked forward with Uncle Ford following behind.
"No... no, young master, I couldn’t see the woman’s figure at all on the surveillance!" Uncle Ford was still puzzled as to who could avoid surveillance and take Luna away.
"What? You say Luna’s mother avoided all the surveillance."
Elias Warner was even more surprised; this woman had never been to the villa before. How did she avoid all the villa’s surveillance?
This incident is too suspicious.
Elias Warner asked again, "Where’s Annelise? Where did she go?"
"It seems Miss Winter said she went to meet Chloe Joyce; there was something at work today!"
"What a coincidence?" Elias Warner frowned.
"Yes, but that’s what Miss Winter explained!" Uncle Ford quickly replied.
Elias Warner immediately called Chloe Joyce.
"Chloe, is Annelise with you? Did she come to see you today?"
Chloe Joyce was taken aback by Elias Warner’s call.
What was going on?
Annelise had just returned home; when did she come to see her??
She really wanted to call Annelise quickly to ask what’s going on.
"Yes... yes, Captain Warner... are you looking for her?"
"No!" Elias Warner hung up without asking anything further.
Because he already had the answer in his heart.
Annelise lied.
What on earth is this woman up to?
Why lie?
"Buzz... Buzz!" Elias Warner’s phone rang.
It was Renee Perry calling.
"Elias, tonight is the Lowell Family patriarch’s 80th birthday, and as Sylvia’s fiancé, you must attend!"
"I’m not going!" Elias Warner refused outright.
"You should pay attention to your identity! You are now the son-in-law of the Lowell Family, and you don’t even attend the patriarch’s 80th birthday, what are you doing!"
Renee Perry said coldly.
