Landing on Her Heart: Mr. Warner, Let's Get Back Together!
Chapter 138: Be My Lover
CHAPTER 138: CHAPTER 138: BE MY LOVER
Annelise Winter was startled, and the clothes in her hand fell to the ground.
The sight of her standing vulnerably before Elias Warner made Elias’s blood rush fiercely.
He suddenly wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her up, encircling her around him.
A frenzy of kisses.
Annelise was breathless from the kisses, yet still forcefully pushed Elias Winter away.
"Who did you learn that dance for?" A hoarse voice, unable to suppress its rough panting.
"Not for you!"
Annelise controlled her emotions, lowered her head, and pushed him away.
This position was too shameful.
Her hips were supported by Elias Warner with one hand.
"Then who was it for? Chase Perry?"
A cold voice tinged with anger, he suddenly pulled her closer again to his chest.
"It’s none of your business!"
Annelise resisted, but couldn’t break free from his captivity. As she exerted force, he increased his strength.
As a result, she was now locked tightly against his solid chest.
"Elias Warner, what are you doing? You’re my best friend’s boyfriend, do you think this is fair to Sylvia Lowell?"
"What? Are you jealous?" Elias Warner smirked, scrutinizing her eyes.
He couldn’t understand Annelise. Since five years ago, when he discovered Annelise and Chase Perry were having an affair, he couldn’t see through her.
He didn’t know what he had done wrong.
Weren’t they always getting along well?
Why did betrayal happen just like that?
"Jealous? Elias Warner, you’re overthinking. Why would I be jealous of you? I just think it’s ridiculous that Sylvia is hiding this from me, her best friend, fearing I’d steal her boyfriend—how laughable! You are someone I discarded!"
Annelise intentionally dragged out the last sentence.
Elias Warner’s eyes suddenly turned crimson, a terrifying cold gleam seeming to devour everything here.
He was wild, the pain of his lips bitten by hers.
The pain in his chest followed closely.
Annelise winced from the pain.
Yet she couldn’t struggle free.
After a moment, until her neck and upper body bore his mark, he finally relented.
"Be my lover!"
"No, I absolutely won’t be a lover to my best friend’s boyfriend!"
Annelise bit Elias Warner hard.
Elias Warner was hurt and let go, finally releasing the hand supporting Annelise’s hips.
Annelise escaped from Elias Warner’s hold.
She opened the door, preparing to leave, only to be pulled back by Elias Warner.
"Annelise, do you have no feelings at all? Are you very happy to see me with someone else?"
Elias Warner felt heartbroken.
Just now in the hall, he didn’t reject Sylvia Lowell’s advances, wanting to see how she reacted.
But she didn’t seem jealous at all.
Now he was here, asking her directly, and she was still saying those things.
"Happy, I’m very happy. I just hope Captain Warner can have dignity, stop involving me, and from now on, we go our separate ways!"
Annelise’s eyes rimmed red.
She was almost suffocating.
The cramped space left her breathless.
"You plan to go out like this?" Elias Warner took a step forward, situated at the door, blocking Annelise’s way.
Her body was now fully exposed.
Seeing her chest rise and fall from anger, the three words on her chest also rose and fell with her breathing.
Elias Warner felt a slight ache.
He pressed her against the wall behind her, used his height to lean over and look at her face.
Their distance was close enough to hear each other’s breathing.
Elias Warner did not miss any of her expressions.
"So, how do you plan to pay your debt? Be my lover, I’ll give you two hundred thousand a month!"
Elias Warner looked down at her arrogantly.
Like a client negotiating with a prostitute.
Annelise felt the insult.
"Captain Warner, you already have a fiancée. I wish you a happy marriage and an early child. If you want revenge for what I did to you five years ago, let me tell you, you’ve accomplished your goal. My best friend became your fiancée. Isn’t that enough?"
Annelise’s heart felt stabbed.
Who knew how deeply pained she felt inside.
"So what if you Annelise can have your cake and eat it too, why can’t I Elias Warner? You being my lover is actually quite perfect and you can quickly pay off your debt!"
"No, I’ll pay you back soon. As for your demand, I cannot consent. Please leave, or I’ll call secu...!"
Annelise’s sharp eyes held complex emotions.
The word security was not finished before Elias Warner pulled her into his arms.
A hot hand grabbed her nape, giving her no time to prepare, he leaned over, pressing himself against her face.
"Mmm..."
Annelise’s eyes widened, his hands misbehaving.
Her breath became more rapid.
Annelise felt the man in front of her had lost his mind.
She harshly stomped on his foot in high heels.
Elias Warner felt the pain but still wouldn’t let go.
"Annelise, if you dare let me see you dancing here, you can try it!"
"What do you want? Whatever I do here doesn’t seem to have anything to do with Captain Warner!"
"Nothing to do? Heh, try if you want, and you can make this club disappear, just try."
Annelise hesitated.
Elias Warner certainly had the ability to make this club disappear right away.
Then the other sisters in the club would lose their chance to survive.
Summer is a divorced single mom.
Single-handedly raising a child, after her husband cheated her out of property, leaving her with massive debt.
She needs to earn money to support her family.
If there’s no club, she’d have no hope for survival.
Annelise’s tears shimmered, she turned, glaring loudly at Elias Warner: "Yes, Captain Warner, high and mighty wealthy offspring like you don’t understand how poor people live! So please, have mercy, let me go!"
Annelise grabbed the clothes and rushed out the door.
Elias Warner panicked.
He had never seen Annelise with such an expression.
In that expression were grievances, stubbornness...
What had she been through?
Annelise’s makeup was smeared. Standing outside, she dressed, then Lily came in from outside.
"Honey, someone on the second floor offered fifty thousand for you to dance again, will you... go?"
Lily probed.
After all, Annelise danced twice earlier, and she knew those people well.
"She won’t go!"
Before Annelise replied, a cold voice of Elias Warner came from the dressing room.
Elias Warner slowly walked out of the dressing room.
His collar was stained from the lipstick Annelise had smudged during their struggle.
Lily was stunned.
She glanced at Annelise, whose lip makeup had been smeared.
"I’ll go!"
Annelise responded.
Elias Warner’s eyes swept coldly over Lily standing to the side.
Lily was intimidated by the powerful aura and forgot to answer.
"She won’t go, I’ll pay the fifty thousand!"
Elias Warner responded directly.
Lily raised an eyebrow, patted Annelise’s shoulder: "Sweetheart, since there’s someone who wants you, don’t come out and work hard! Live a stable life, sister supports you! Though sister regrets that perhaps this club won’t have Poppy as its star anymore!"
"Lily, don’t listen to his nonsense!"
