Landing on Her Heart: Mr. Warner, Let's Get Back Together!
Chapter 151: Reliving Old Dreams
CHAPTER 151: CHAPTER 151: RELIVING OLD DREAMS
"What are you doing?" Elias Warner frowned.
"I shouldn’t be here. I have to go!" Annelise Winter rushed towards the door.
Elias’ large hand suddenly pulled her back, and her already unsteady body fell directly into his arms.
Looking at Annelise’s slightly pale cheeks, Elias’ throat moved; the temperature he had just lowered by drinking several bottles of cold water was now completely overtaken by the heat sweeping through him.
Annelise’s cheeks flushed slightly.
She was a head shorter than Elias. She tiptoed to meet Elias’ gaze.
The distance between them was no more than two fist lengths.
So close they could hear each other’s breathing.
"Elias, thank you for helping to call a doctor..."
She felt much better, though her body was still somewhat unsteady.
Elias looked at her, as Annelise raised her head, revealing a long, graceful neck, with a few strands of hair falling across her cheeks and neck.
These strands of hair that fell on her neck, yet Elias felt as if something was also lightly scratching his heart.
Slightly tickling.
Elias’ palms were broad and dry, hardened by years of fitness, his fingertips unlike a woman’s delicate touch.
He caressed Annelise’s slender wrist.
Annelise’s hand trembled slightly.
She felt the broad, warm heat of the man’s palm.
Annelise braced one hand against the doorframe.
Her voice was very soft: "I have to go now..."
Her palm was slick with sweat, her whole body tense, rigid, unsure of what to do.
Elias’ hot hand clasped her nape, not giving her any time to react, as he leaned forward, pressing her against the door.
Their breaths mingled together.
Annelise wanted Elias to let her go, but the man in close quarters made her feel exposed, looked at her with eyes gradually becoming possessive and blatant, as if to consume her...
Instinctively, she retreated a little.
But this only provoked Elias further.
Elias’ warm lips soon pressed against hers, the strong scent of testosterone mingling around, only retreating after biting her lip.
Annelise was still in a daze, Elias on the surface remained composed, his gaze steady, breathing heavy.
He had wanted to ask Annelise’s opinion, but at such proximity, he dismissed the thought!
Unable to contain the chaos of emotions inside him, he pinned her against the door, claiming her fiercely.
He grasped the back of her head, his possessiveness undisguised.
After an indeterminable amount of time, Elias finally stopped, carrying Annelise horizontally towards the bathroom.
If it weren’t for her being unwell today, he wouldn’t have let her go.
Annelise clung to Elias’ neck until he placed her in the freshly drawn warm bath.
"Can you manage by yourself?"
Elias swallowed, wanting to stay and help her, but worried he couldn’t control himself.
Stopping suddenly earlier was only out of concern for her not being able to handle it.
"I... I can do it myself..."
Annelise’s cheeks flushed, more so than earlier when she had been feverish.
Elias nodded and left the bathroom.
There were frosted glass partitions in the bathroom. A woman’s arms gracefully stretched from her neck down, forming an alluring curve.
Her figure was exceptional.
Just now, her waist was slender enough for him to clench with one hand, in addition to her feminine elegance.
His throat inexplicably felt itchy, dry. Elias downed a glass of water.
In the bathroom
Annelise’s entire body soaked in the warm water.
Her mind was still in a frenzy.
Her heart was in turmoil.
She had said she wanted to leave the villa just moments ago.
So why couldn’t she resist...
Such a thing hadn’t happened since five years ago with Elias at the old house.
That night, Elias was just like today, initially shy, both navigating slowly together.
Later, just like just now...
Annelise’s cheeks instantly flushed.
She patted her forehead, wondering why she thought of these memories. What was she thinking...
After a long while, Annelise finally exited the bathroom.
She felt soreness all over, worse than the first time, too much to handle.
She pushed herself, heading towards the bedroom.
Elias lay in a chair, hearing movement, saw Annelise emerge from the bathroom, crippled, he smirked.
He carried her horizontally towards the bedroom.
"Elias, put me down!"
Annelise was frightened.
If this continued, she felt like she would fall apart.
"Don’t worry, sleep properly tonight. I have to fly tomorrow!"
Elias placed Annelise on the bed, then jumped onto it himself, wrapping her from behind, intertwining their fingers.
Tonight, sleep came quickly.
The rain continued to pour outside the window.
By morning, the rain had stopped.
Elias slept all night in that position with Annelise like being in a warm furnace.
The alarm sounded, and Elias opened his eyes.
Annelise was also awakened.
As she turned, her body felt like it was falling apart.
"Ow," she groaned involuntarily.
Elias frowned; last night he had been too reckless.
He got up from bed, took a few patches from the drawer, and handed them to Annelise.
"Stay home and rest up with these patches. If you need anything, just ask Uncle Ford and Mama Langdon!"
Elias held Annelise’s hand, his gaze tender.
"Didn’t Mama Langdon return to her hometown for something?"
Annelise frowned.
"Yes, but I called her last night, asked her to come back! Coincidentally, she was planning to return in the next couple of days!"
"Okay, I understand!"
"I need to fly today, almost time to leave!"
Elias sat by Annelise’s bed, kissed her forehead.
"When I get back, I have something to discuss, we need to talk!" Elias urged.
"Last night, we shouldn’t have..."
Annelise felt regretful, seeing Elias say this deepened her regret.
The man before her was about to get engaged to her best friend.
"Alright, I have to go. Let’s discuss everything after I return!" Elias turned to leave, then came back, kissed Annelise’s forehead lightly, and then left.
Annelise sat on the bed, recalling everything that happened last night.
"Annelise, Annelise, how could you... with him..."
She glanced again at the patches Elias left her.
Held them in her hand.
Looked back at the phone beside her, it was nearly time to go to work, she had to hurry up and get ready.
Despite the pain in her body, she got up.
Mama Langdon had already prepared breakfast for Annelise.
She quickly had her breakfast and prepared to go to work.
Mama Langdon advised, "Miss Winter, are you coming back tonight? What should I prepare for dinner?"
Annelise frowned, planning not to return tonight; she needed to accompany her daughter, Luna.
"Mama Langdon, I might have to work late, no need to prepare dinner for me!"
