Annelise didn’t notice the hostile gaze from June Winter.

After work.

"Annelise, are you working overtime at The Airline today?"

Chloe Joyce always thought that Annelise worked very hard.

June Winter parked her car at the villa’s entrance and cautiously approached outside the villa, peering through the door’s crack.

Luna saw Annelise coming in from the second floor of the villa and quickly ran downstairs towards the door.

"Mommy, Mommy!"

She gave Annelise a big hug.

Mrs. Lockwood also walked over, displaying a kind expression as she watched the two embrace.

"Luna has been talking about you all day. You didn’t come yesterday, and she was fussing about calling you before she would go to sleep!"

Speaking of Luna, Mrs. Lockwood’s lips curled up.

She really liked this little girl.

Luna brought her a lot of joy.

"Thank you, Grandma Lockwood!"

Annelise appreciated it.

When she didn’t come back, it was always Mrs. Lockwood taking care of Luna.

"Thank you, Auntie!"

Luna’s innocent voice was raised, endearing herself to everyone present.

"She’s so cute. Is her mom really from our The Airline? Are the rumors true? Is she Captain Warner’s daughter?"

"Who is so lucky to have a child with Captain Warner and still keep it hidden?"

People were gossiping.

June Winter was already heading towards Annelise’s office with Luna.

Chloe Joyce, being sharp-eyed, saw that June Winter’s direction was towards her and Annelise’s office. She immediately ran in that direction ahead of June Winter.

She closed the office door, looked at Annelise in surprise, and breathlessly asked, "Annelise, what’s going on? That June Winter is coming here with a little girl. Just as Chloe finished speaking, before Annelise could react, June Winter pushed the door open and stood there with Luna.

Annelise squatted down to comfort Luna.
