CHAPTER 47: CHAPTER 47: DID YOU REALLY GET PREGNANT? OR ARE YOU LYING TO ME?

Annelise Winter wanted to get out of the car, but the door was already locked.

Elias Warner grabbed her wrist and dragged her back.

Forced to sit on the man’s lap.

Her skirt was pushed up, revealing two long, fair legs.

Sitting unreservedly on the man’s lap like that.

The fabric of his suit trousers rubbed against the skin inside her thighs. It was as hard as stone, harder than five years ago, making her feel ashamed and embarrassed.

Annelise shook all over, trying to hit his chest, anxious and angry, "Let me see first, Chase Perry can’t handle it alone! He’s too badly injured!"

Her mind was in turmoil and panic.

Too many things to worry about.

Worried about her daughter, worried about the innocent Chase Perry, worried Elias Warner would discover she is Luna’s mother.

The pure black suit trousers were cold and abstinent, and the tightened flesh from the earlier altercation hadn’t relaxed.

Elias’s large hand gripped her slender waist tightly, pressing her back heavily!

Annelise’s legs instantly went weak, she bit her lip hard, hitting his shoulder, her beautiful eyes glistening, "What are you doing! Stop..."

Clearly knowing it’s not the time to talk about romance.

But she couldn’t resist, that inherent physical feeling towards him.

As if just a touch from him would make her lose control.

Even though she was no longer that inexperienced young girl.

She had long since had a child, but after five years of absence, every encounter brought uncontrollable physical liking.

The man’s long fingers tangled in her thick, long black hair, his breath heavy and domineering, making her nervous, "The Breslin General Hospital is right next door, even if he wants to die, he can’t!"

His fingertip pressed heavily over her red lips, "Don’t call another man’s name in my car."

As if daring her to call Chase again, he’d get out of the car and beat Chase again!

Annelise’s face turned pale, her breath tangled and chaotic from the intimacy.

She had never seen Elias Warner like this.

As if in that moment, his whole body erupted with strength and fierceness, amidst the screams, causing dizziness and fear.

Annelise’s breath trembled, her trembling fingertips gently pressing against his chest.

"There’s nothing between me and Chase Perry! What are you talking about?"

"Nothing?" The man’s gaze was deep and dark, his voice mocking, "Five years ago, when you were still with me, you were rolling with him..."

Not wanting to hear unpleasant words from him.

Annelise instinctively covered his mouth, "Don’t say it again!"

Elias then forcefully grabbed her hands, pulling them behind her back.

Her body was forced even closer to him.

Elias’s strong and sharp gaze focused deeply on her, "Do you still have any shame? Did you think that five years past, what you did is worthy of praise?"

Her eyes, already swollen, were even more a mess now.

Annelise choked, her voice hoarse, "Then if you beat him to death, how would you explain it to your grandfather and uncle?"

Five years ago.

When he discovered her "betrayal" with Chase Perry, Elias Warner had not embarrassed either of them.

His arrogance was broken, yet his rational calm at the end evoked pity.

He was Elias Warner.

Annelise’s teenage dream.

Admired and secretly loved since childhood, she pursued him for three years before winning him over.

She had destroyed his pride with her own hands.

No one knew how much Annelise hurt for him.

Not even himself.

Elias’s cold fingers caressed her chin, his breath frighteningly heavy.

"I never need to look at other people’s faces when I act."

He aggressively lifted her face, forcing her to meet his gaze.

The evening’s emotions, coupled with seeing her with Chase Perry in the hospital, stacked together.

Elias Warner was nearly unaffected.

His strong and sharp gaze fixed tightly on her, "Worried about me, or worried about Chase Perry?"

Annelise looked at him, seeing the coldness in his eyes, her heart aching, "Worried about you."

She was telling the truth.

But Elias Warner wouldn’t believe it.

"Worrying about me yet running off to cry in front of Chase? Crying for what? Crying about your five years of youth wasted, yet can’t even enter the Perry household?"

Facing his ridicule, Annelise endured, listening.

This car was one of the Warner family’s cars in Breslin.

The same one that picked her up yesterday.

Only today it had a driver.

Elijah Warner’s sharp gaze locked onto her, "Didn’t you run away last night, so why haven’t you left the hospital yet! Why is Chase Perry here too!"

He knew why!

Annelise raised her eyes to look at him, refusing to show any hint, "If I say it was just a coincidence meeting him, would you believe it?"

His lips cold, "No, I wouldn’t!"

It was indeed hard to explain.

If she wanted to escape, why hadn’t she left the hospital all night.

Elias Warner just looked at her like that.

Annelise’s heart skipped a beat upon hearing.

Her fingertips curled, eyelashes trembling.

Not knowing if he was testing or just finding it odd.

Caden Lynch was still worried about her safety outside as a girl.

Annelise clenched her palm against his chest, her face turning pale.

If he had really discovered she was Luna’s mother...

Annelise’s heart pounded non-stop, cold sweat breaking out on her back, "I escaped yesterday, simply because I didn’t want the doctor to examine me."

She looked as if she couldn’t bear to speak, "It was too embarrassing!"

Elias narrowed his eyes, "Oh? Then let me help you!"

He forcefully gripped her neck, his scorching breath spraying.

"I did say, if you really aborted my child... I’d kill you!"

He chuckled softly, "You really haven’t changed a bit, always capable of challenging my limits!"

Saying this, Elias Warner directly pushed Annelise against the car window, his strong figure pressing down.

The driver Zane in front dared not look, got out of the car immediately.

Annelise struggled in panic, feeling the man’s cold large hand resting on her thigh, "What are you doing! Stop! Elias Warner, we’re outside!"

The car window had bulletproof glass, privacy film.

Though the outside couldn’t see inside, Annelise could see the outside clearly.

People coming and going.

Including Chase!

Her daughter was still upstairs.

Chase Perry couldn’t even stand, people helped him, he broke free, stumbled and headed straight for the car.

Annelise was embarrassed, Elijah Warner was forcing her to look, "Didn’t you say you didn’t want to let the doctor examine? Let me help you!"

Annelise was unwilling, her face went white, "You’re not a doctor! I don’t want to do this here! Chase Perry is coming!"

"What? Afraid he’ll see?" Elias’s cold tone drilled into her eardrums, "Weren’t you best at performing in front of men!"

"Bastard!"

A layer of mist covered.

Blurred and hard to see clearly.

Her whole body crawled messily, yet her legs desperately wanted to close.

The man’s large hand lifted her skirt but did not step forward.

Thin lips pressed to her ear, a somber voice, "Don’t want a doctor, don’t want me, so difficult to serve, how do I know if you were really pregnant?"

Annelise trembled even more fiercely, and was terribly embarrassed, "Isn’t the examination and abortion report enough?"

"They can be faked."

Elias replied coldly, Annelise’s eyes reddened, "You’re so capable, you can verify the reports for yourself!"

"Why investigate me..."

This wasn’t an examination, it was a deliberate humiliation.

He lowered his voice, "Then I’ll give you another chance, say it yourself, were you truly pregnant, or deceiving me!"

Chest pulsed, breath scorching, right by her ear.

Annelise’s nerves stood on end.

Just at this moment, Chase Perry stumbled closer, stopped by Zane and Uncle Ford.

Annelise was mortified, her long lashes trembling shut, "I was really pregnant."
