Chapter b167 /b

Alicia looked away. Julian would never have been so cold to her in the past.

Mnie arrived at one of Brindley’s high–end gynecology hospitals with a pile of gifts. She was there to visit a friend’s daughter, who’d just given birth to a healthy baby boy weighing eight pounds. The baby’s family was overjoyed and wanted to throw a party to celebrate.

Mnie was envious. She wanted to have grandchildren, too.

Just then, the chauffeur pointed in a direction. “Isn’t that Madam Willow? Is she ill? Why is she at the maternity hospital?”

Mnie was taken aback. She looked in the direction the chauffeur had pointed to see that it really was Willow.

Heather was by her side, and they had a tall man with them. They wereing out of a clinic.

Mnie harbored a grudge against Heather for the p thetter had given her. She thought Heather was there to see a doctor for a gynecology issue and didn’t even think Willow had anything to do with it.

Women were all into gossip, and Mnie was no exception. She waited until Heather and Willow were gone before primping her hair and heading to the clinic they had left.

As one of Brindley’s prominentdies, she carried herself with authority and arrogance. The moment she entered the clinic, she asked, “Was the older woman who just left here for a gynecology checkup? Was she down with something regr, or was it bad?

    “1

The female doctor was in the middle of updating her medical records and frowned at Mnie’s words. “What are you talking about this is an obstetrics clinic, not a gynecological one!”

Mnie pondered that. Heather couldn’t be pregnant, could she?

She didn’t believe the doctor and insisted on seeing the medical records. The doctor was irritated by her persistence and mmed the medical records on the desk. “Take a look at it yourself! Ms. Harper is just pregnant, yet you want to spread rumors about her being sick.

“I’m warning you–there are legal consequences to bear for ndering others like this!”

Mnie was stunned. Ms. Harper? Wasn’t Heather the one seeing the doctor?

She trembled so violently that even her facial muscles started twitching. She quickly skimmed through the medical report before copsing onto a chair. 1

    Willow was pregnant. Pregnant!

bYet/b, Julian was on his way to the airport to leave the country with Alicia. They were probably on the highway at the moment.

Mnie whipped out her phone and dialed Julian’s number, but he d put it on silent modest night and hadn’t changed it back. She called him several times, but they all went unanswered.

It would be toote to do anything if things continued dragging out like this. Her grandchild would be without a father!

Mnie’s knees were weak. She staggered out of the clinic with a hand on the wall for supportb, /bbut she didn’t forget to take Willow’s medical records.

The doctor shouted at herb, /bbut she was unfazed. She said dazedly, This belongs to my daughter–inw. She’s carrying my grandchild.”

Tears streamed down her face as soon as the words were out of her mouth. She staggered forward and cried to the chauffeur, ‘ Lewisb, /btake me to the airport now! Now!”

Lewis Samson was startled. Mnie grabbed his arm tightly and said, “Julian is going to be a father. We have to stop him before

    he boards the ne!”

She couldn’t care less about her image at the moment. She took her heels off and ran down the hospital’s corridor, her expensive furs bristling in the wind.

They jumped into the car, and Lewis put the pedal to the metal as they headed to the airport. Mnie kept urging him to drive faster. He did as he was told and even ran three red lights.

Julian and Alicia were at the airport by 10:10 am. He carried two suitcases bas /bshe followed him through the VIP passage. They would soon board a private jet to Mene, the world’s fashion capital.

Just before entering the security checkpoint, Julian stopped to look outside the airportb, /bhis gaze unfathomable. Then, he said to Alicia, “Let’s head inside.”

They got in line for the checkpoint. Just then, a loud screech echoed throughout the hall. “Julian, you can’t go!”
