Liam held Gabrie and yed with her. He waspletely like his usual stoic self. She smiled in his arms and revealed her
gumsb. /b
He secretly cursed Mnie for her bad luck. Gabrie was adorable)
Time was almost up, yet Mnie didn’t show. Liam couldn’t bring himself to ask Willow to wait any longer, so he reluctantly returned Gabrie to her. At the same time, he said, “Mnie’s out of control. I have no idea where she’s gone off to.”
Willow merely smiled. She and Mnie were on bad terms, so this didn’t bother her.
Now that their parting was imminent, Liam was tempted to ask Willow to give Julian another chance. However, he swallowed the words on the tip of his tongue and ultimately remained silent.
It was toote for things to change.
Julian entered the room at 10:00 am. He wore an expensive suit fit for a banquet, clearly wanting to leave Willow and Gabrie with the best impression possible. However, it didn’t seem to bur /bto him that this would be thest day in his life that he would be this perfect.
No matter how reluctant he was for them to part, the time would eventuallye. He held Gabrie close, kissing and cuddling her for thest time.
Liam’s heart broke at the sight, and he secretly wiped his tears.
Karen said, “They should get going. There’s bound to be some traffic on the highway on the weekend. They don’t want to bete for their flight.”
Julian’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He looked at Willow and said hoarsely, “Let’s go. I’ll take you guys to the airport.”
A ck car waited outside the house. There was a baby seat in the backseat, and Gabrie was buckled in. Willow sat beside her
to care for her.
Liam, Tyler, and Karen stood outside as they tearfully waved Willow goodbye.
She watched them with mixed emotions. When she’d married Julian a few years ago, she’d dreamed of living a happy life with them. She’d genuinely considered them her family, but the conflict and everything that had happened had changed that.
Still, now that she was about to leave, those feelings seemed to fade away. She smiled faintly and waved them–and herself- goodbye.
The car slowly moved. It made a circle in the garden before leaving the manor.
The morning sun shone bright. It shone down on the tar road of the highway, illuminating the path ahead.
It was silent in the car. In the cramped space, only Gabrie’s sweet breathing spoke of warmth and tenderness.
Julian finally broke the silence after a long moment. He pleaded softly, “Can you asionally let me see Gabrie? I won’t disturb your life.”
Willow turned away, only making a soft sound of agreement after a long time.
That was enough to make Julian feel overjoyed. He was about to say something else when he saw a ck c?r hurtle at them from diagonally opposite them. The license te made it clear the car belonged to the Ziegler family.
In those few seconds before the collision, he guessed who was in the car. It was headed straight for the backseat, so it was clearly going for Willow and Gabrie. There was also a clear sense of recklessness in it.
In the split second that the cars passed each other, Julian saw a familiar face, albeit crazed. At that moment, he had a choice–as long as he didn’t stray from his path, he could get away untouched. He wouldn’t even have a scratch on him…..
However, there was a deafening crash in the blink of an eye. Julian’s car crashed head–on into the oing car, and the impact was so devastating that the Rolls–Royce Phantom’s front was almost shattered. 16
Julian was also shattered–literally. He was in the driver’s seat, and his arm was crushed beyond recognition. Ripped flesh and gushing blood stained his suit, which he’d picked out just for Willow and Gabrie. If this was thest time they were seeing each other, he wanted Willow to remember him at his best.
Now, he no longer looked good. He would never look good again.
He remembered how Willow had mentioned he was the most handsome person she’d ever met during their first meeting
Tears streamed from Julian’s eyes as he endured the overwhelming pain, wanting to turn to look at Willow and Gabrie. However, it was too much to bear. Aside from his crushed armb, /bhe was also covered in injuries from head to toe.
Hey down and allowed the sun’s rays to bathe him. His right arm was almost non–existent now.
He shut his eyes and dazedly remembered his conversation with Soren.
“Julian, are you willing to set aside your pride and arrogance? Are you willing to bear the consequences of your sins, even if it will crush your body and soul?”
That night, he’d prostrated himself on the floor and said resolutely, “I am willing.”
