“I have an amazing wife. One could even say she’s the perfect woman, but I don’t love her. I can say for sure that I’m not attracted to her at all. I only slept with her to have a legitimate heir. However, I seem to be addicted to this rtionship of ours. I’ve never felt desire in the past,” Julian exined, confused.

The doctor took some time to evaluate the situation before saying, “Mr. Ziegler, the first thing you need to do is decide whether you love her or not. It’s impossible to be subjective or objective about rtionships, especially with how unpredictable they can be.”

Julian frowned, dismissing that line of thought. He had someone he loved when he was younger, so he knew what loving someone felt like.

After the consultation, he buttoned up his suit and left the clinic. Esther, who was waiting outside, saw hime out and asked, “Have you been unhappytely, Mr. Ziegler?”

Once they were in the car, Julian leaned against the backseat and muttered, “I’m too happy, actually.”

Esther was confused, but she then remembered something. “Melody Simpson from Vision Group invited you to dinner; just the two of you. She wanted to talk about working together. Should I reject the invitation for you, Mr. Ziegler?”

Julian never epted invitations like that, mostly to avoid arousing suspicion. However, he suddenly realized how simr Melody and Willow were. They were both cool, aloof, beautiful women. If he had a meal with Melody, it would be the perfect chance to prove that his feelings for Willow weren’t real.

Julian thought about it before replying, “Make a reservation for 8:00 pm at The Royal Diner, Trinity Hotel.”

His response shocked Esther, but she did as he said.

That evening, Julian called Willow to tell her he had a business appointment. Coincidentally, Willow was busy as well. A famous painter was in Brindley, and she

was staying in the Trinity Hotel.

Willow had invited her out to talk business, and if all went well, she hoped to work with the painter in the long term.

At 7:00 pm, Willow and the painter were having a meal at The Royal Diner. By the time they were done eating, they had finalized the cooperation. Willow paid the bill and was about to leave when she saw a familiar face while walking down the corridor.

It was her husband, Julian. He said he had a business appointment, but he was having a meal with a woman.

Willow recognized her. That was Melody, the vice CEO of Vision Group. She was a smart, capable, and gorgeous woman.

On top of that, Melody was wearing an ash–gray, altered dress that night. She had a thin gold watch on her wrist that highlighted her feminine energy.

Julian, on the other hand, was dressed in an exquisite three–piece suit. He was the perfect picture of nobility, and there was dignity in his every move and gesture. The atmosphere in The Royal Diner was perfect for a romantic dinner, too.

Julian leaned back and stared at the woman across from him with a hint of nonchnce, but his dark eyes held a seductive gaze that only a mature man could possess. Melody lightly touched her hair in an enticing manner.

Willow didn’t want to interrupt, so she was about to leave after staring at them for a while. However, Julian noticed her and was shocked. Why was Willow there?

That night, all he and Melody had talked about was business. Of course, Melody had tried flirting with him, but his mind had been elsewhere all night. That was when he’d caught sight of Willow.
