The ashes themselves released faint Immortal Qi, which symbolized "failure turned to foundation."

As he was meditating for who knows how many centuries it has been, a verdant phantom of Earth appeared in front of him.

His withered body suddenly trembled, his immortal flames flickered low, and his eyes widened for the first time in centuries.

He mumbled, "To bloom from marrow... A child of earth... Manifesting Pill Apotheosis..."

Suddenly, he spoke in a whisper that shook all the Celestial Apex.

"A successor."
