Chapter 229: End of the Seclusion 1

Considering the huge difference in time between the outside world and the secret realm, the six months outside transformed into almost three years inside the secret realm.

During this time, none of its inhabitants left, deciding instead to take advantage of this enormous temporal advantage to train to the maximum of their abilities.

At first, Zhu Rong and the rest of the family had time to spend with each other, giving little Ning the chance to get used to the two parental figures she hadn’t been familiar with, but over time she got used to it and even came to appreciate it more than she had expected.

Many times in the past she had wondered what it would be like to have parents, and now that she had the chance to experience it, she could say that she liked the feeling of having them by her side.

From her mother’s care, who did not hold back in showering her with love, to her father, whom she had been accustomed to but at first could only see as her master who had saved her from what could have been a life far from serene, she gradually came to accept this new reality.

After this brief but pleasant period of peace, Zhu Rong immediately set to work.

The time spent with his family also became the time necessary for his little world, which was no longer so little, to adapt to its improved core, and likewise for the rest of what lay on its surface, thus creating a small paradise for cultivators,

at least for this plane of existence.

He personally took on the task of creating a training plan for Ye Ning, who had a constitution inherited from both her parents. Since she had already begun cultivating his technique, he was able to better plan the rest of her cultivation path.

Of course, he couldn’t truly create her entire cultivation path for her, as its largely shaped by the cultivator themselves while progressing and experimenting with different things and insights along their journey.

He only laid down the foundations to give her the best she could inherit from both parents and allow her to become strong in a stable and rapid manner, without weakening her base.

He did the same for Liang Yuexin, who, although already having her path partly formed, had aspects that he, with his vast experience, could improve.

He let mother and daughter train together, so Liang Yuexin could also better teach her dragon powers, which had already awakened but which she still didn’t fully control.

He didn’t have to do much for Lin Xian;

she had already had more than enough time in the past to refine her cultivation techniques, and even though she was only a fragment of her original self, she still retained part of those insights and knowledge.

Once all of this was done, he focused on his own cultivation.

Thanks to the fact that he had fused with the blood drop of his old self in the secret realm, he made a huge leap in cultivation, moving from the fifth stage of the mortal realm, directly to the second stage of the Spirit Realm,

Spirit Severing stage.

It’s the second stage of the Spirit Realm, and also one of the most important stages of cultivation in this realm, because at this stage, one’s nascent soul materializes, becoming a real, independent existence.

It will have its own consciousness and will, but basically remains connected to its creator.

It is not only a source of additional power for the cultivator but is the material manifestation of a cultivator’s essence.

There are a total of four stages in the Spirit Realm:

Soul Transformation (1st Stage):

The stage in which the cultivator’s nascent soul obtains a true and proper form that defines it.

It can be an animal, a human, or even a weapon.

Its initial form is already shaped in the fifth stage of the mortal realm, but this form can either remain and solidify or change upon entering the Spirit Realm.

The soul grows with the cultivator, allowing them to gain power far beyond previous stages, as well as strengthening the soul and mental abilities to completely new levels.

Spirit Severing (2nd Stage): At this stage, a step forward is taken, materializing the nascent soul and giving its existence a proper material vessel.

It is not only a powerful additional aid, but thanks to the harmony between the cultivator’s soul and this additional existence, it can merge with its creator, granting a significant all around increase in strength and defense, both mental and physical.

The stronger the formed soul, the more advantage the cultivator will have over others at the same stage.

Law Comprehension (3rd Stage): The stage in which a better understanding of the laws inherent in nature begins. There is already a basic sense in the previous stages, but at this stage, a deeper understanding is gained, along with a certain degree of control.

The number of laws one can learn is limited and often depends heavily on one’s elemental affinity and other factors.

It’s better to focus on a single law with high affinity than multiple laws, especially because the more one tries to comprehend, the greater the risk of failure and being unable to progress to the next stage.

Great Ascension (4th Stage): The final stage of the Spirit Realm, the last step for a cultivator, where all mortal ties of body and soul are cut, and they aim to reach a new level of existence.

Laws are fused, using the primary chosen law as the central focus, integrated with the nascent soul to form an inner world within one’s dantian.

Creating a small world is possible even before reaching this stage, but it will not have a defined and stable form;

thus, cultivators of previous stages tend to leave small, limited separate spaces, which are more than sufficient for their purpose, rather than entire worlds, which would be only lethal chaos for anyone entering.

It goes without saying that using the one created in the dantian after reaching the final stage of the Spirit Realm isn’t an option for anyone,

as it is the foundation of the power and new level of existence of an individual, and leaving it exposed before ascending could be deadly, since it’s like being separated from your own heart.
