CHAPTER 94: SERA DON’T KNOW HOW TO HIDE HER FEELINGS

"Hmm? What happened, Mother? Did you hear a joke? Why are you laughing so loudly?"

Lucien asked as he opened the door, only to find his mother laughing uncontrollably. Then he saw that in front of her sat Sera, looking shy, while Cedric wore a proud expression.

’Did I walk in at the wrong time or what?’ He thought, feeling a little out of place.

"Cough... cough... Lucien, it’s you."

Seraphine almost choked on her laughter at Lucien’s sudden entrance but managed to compose herself with a few coughs.

"Why are you barging in like that? Can’t you knock?"

Cedric scolded feeling surrprised, making Lucien smile awkwardly.

"Sorry, I didn’t think of that. Mom, are you alright?"

Lucien asked as he picked up a glass of water from the table and handed it to her. He also signaled for Liora and Lilith to come inside, as standing in the doorway felt improper.

"Yes, I’m fine. Don’t worry."

Seraphine waved her hand to reassure him and took a sip from the glass.

As she set it back on the table, she noticed the two girls standing behind Lucien, one of whom was none other than the Third Princess, Lilith.

"Third Princess Lilith, you’re here?"

Both Seraphine and Cedric suddenly stood up once they saw who was inside and offered a respectful nod, following noble etiquette. After all, she was a princess, they couldn’t be too casual.

"Ah, I just arrived. And please, there’s no need to be so formal. Lucien and I are quite close, so you can just call me by name."

Lilith stood and returned the gesture with a slight smile. Despite the cold animosity she had shown Sera earlier, inside the room she appeared surprisingly amiable and friendly.

In fact, Lucien noticed she hadn’t even glanced at Sera once after entering the room.

’This girl...’

Lucien shook his head but said nothing. As long as she didn’t show any hostility toward his parents, he didn’t mind them getting along.

"Ahem...mother, like she said, there’s really no need to use honorifics. She’s just my younger sister, and considering your relationship with me, it’s fine to call her by name."

To everyone’s surprise, though, Sera suddenly stood up and grabbed Seraphine’s arm, echoing the sentiment with a warm smile.

Only, what she said next left all three of them wide-eyed and speechless.

"Mother?" *3

The word echoed in unison through the room.

Not just Lucien but even Liora and Lilith stared at Sera in disbelief. Lilith’s gaze, however, turned especially icy once she glance at her as if unable to control her emotion.

So cold, in fact, that Sera felt a chill run down her spine. It was clear Lilith was furious.

’Oops! It seems, I forgot to guard the door...’

Only now did she realize her mistake, as her eyes finally landed on Liora. She could already guess what had happened after she left the room.

Still, she directly acted oblivious, nodded politely, and continued holding onto Seraphine’s arm.

"Yes, we just agreed that I can call her Mother to help us grow closer and Madam Seraphine has already given her blessing."

Sera declared, this time with none of the earlier shyness was there while her proud expression was clearly aimed at Lilith.

"So, since she’s now my mother in name, she can also call Lilith by name too. Don’t you think so, my sister?"

She asked sweetly, ignoring the frost on Lilith’s face. She simply wanted to make one thing clear: she was the first in everything.

"Yeah... you can just call me by my name."

Though Lilith was seething inside with rage, she still smiled graciously at Seraphine and Cedric before elegantly taking a seat.

She then poured herself a cup of tea and offered a sweet smile to Lucien’s parents, who were visibly awkward due to Sera’s boldness.

"Hehe... you don’t have to be so tense. My sister’s a bit of an airhead and gets excited too easily. Please forgive her for my sake."

Though Lilith was the younger sister here, she played the role of the elder with practiced ease, making Sera pout in frustration. She couldn’t find even a hint of jealousy in Lilith’s eyes, which annoyed her more than anything.

"Haha... that’s not the case, Princess Lilith, I mean, Lilith."

Seraphine finally came back to her sense and said with a smile while sitting with the others, her eyes twinkling slightly.

Why did she feel like something else was going on here?

She had clearly noticed Sera’s blatantly proud expression aimed at Lilith. But instead of prying, she found the situation oddly amusing and decided to leave it for now.

"Cough...anyway, I didn’t expect to meet two princesses here today. What an auspicious day. So, what brings you two here?"

Seraphine asked, choosing not to dig into whatever personal conflict was brewing between the girls. She would question her son about it later once things had calmed down.

"Umm...it’s nothing serious. I just have something to discuss with Lucien."

Lilith said calmly as she sipped her tea. Now that Seraphine had brought it up, she finally remembered why she’d even come here.

It was clearly to warn Lucien, or maybe even to ask him to remove the mark from her mind. But things had spiraled so unexpectedly after Sera showed up, she didn’t have the chance.

And now, by some strange twist of fate, she now found herself sharing a man with her older sister. Oddly enough, after seeing Sera’s deflated expression, she was starting to find the whole situation a little entertaining.

"Ah, right. I had something to tell him too, I almost forgot."

Sera also added, finally realizing she hadn’t mentioned her reason for coming at all.

So, she directly stood up and looked at Lucien with a soft, affectionate gaze.

"Lucien, can you come outside with me? I have something to give you."

Her voice was unintentionally gentler than before, drawing everyone’s attention to the two of them.

"Cough...Alright, let’s go. Mom, Dad, I’ll be back in a minute."

Lucien said, clearly aware of the looks being exchanged. He didn’t expect Sera to be so emotionally transparent. From the way she was looking at him, anyone could tell there was something between them.

’This girl really doesn’t know how to hide her feelings...’
