CHAPTER 96: LILITH IS SICK

"Hehe... don’t worry, I won’t, probably?"

Lilith could hardly control her laugh, seeing the distressed look on Seraphine’s face. She didn’t know why, but she was having a blast after meeting with Lucien, somehow.

"What do you mean, probably?"

Seraphine raised her eyes at Lilith, not believing her ears.

"Girl, are you trying to blackmail me right now?"

Her eyes suddenly narrowed, looking at the mischievous smirk on Lilith.

"Probably?"

However, Lilith didn’t get intimidated. Instead, she suddenly giggled beautifully and narrowed her eyes, matching Seraphine.

Unlike Sera, who looked timid and honest, Lilith had her own style. She was never a shy girl in the first place and would do anything she wanted.

Like right now, she was really enjoying this banter with Lucien’s mother.

"You girl... sigh."

Seraphine saw Lilith’s look and knew that her acting as an elder wouldn’t work on her.

"So, what do you want?"

She asked as if letting herself get blackmailed. But before Lilith could say anything, she herself thought for a while and suddenly said with a little twinkle in her eyes, confusing Lilith in the process.

"What about this?"

Seraphine came close to Lilith, grabbed her hand just like she did with Sera before, and said softly,

"What about you call me mother, too? Just like Sera? How about that? If you keep this a secret, I will allow you to call me mother, too."

She said, as if allowing her to call her mother was some kind of reward. The glint and mischievous look in her eyes clearly indicated what she was thinking.

’This girl clearly has a hot spot for my son. Why not use this chance to have another daughter-in-law for myself?’

Seraphine thought, feeling that she was quite clever. She exploited an unfavorable situation to her own benefit.

So, feeling proud, Seraphine couldn’t help but look at Lilith’s face, hoping to see her expression, only to get stunned.

"Mother?"

"I don’t deserve a mother."

She once again mumbled, surprising Seraphine and Cedric.

In fact, both of them didn’t actually knew much about the past of Sera and Lilith.

First of all, it wasn’t needed before, as they weren’t acquainted with the royal family at all, and second of all, the Edoria family didn’t allow the general populace to know about their past.

It was only those strong ones and those who tried to search for knew what kind of past the Third Princess and Eldest Princess had.

So, Seraphine was really shocked to hear such a word from Lilith’s mouth out of nowhere.

Only now did she realize that such a sudden shift in her personality was because of her asking her to call her mother.

But she just couldn’t understand why that was so. Why would Lilith suddenly go crazy just because she said a word?

"Why?"

Lilith heard what Seraphine said and finally looked at her with her cold eyes, yet a beautiful smile on her lips.

Such a deep contrast almost made her look like a beautiful demoness ready to grab your heart out of your body.

Seeing both Seraphine and Cedric looking at her, Lilith finally opened her small mouth and whispered,

"Because I already killed her. Hehe..."

She said it in such a way as if it were a normal thing. Her eyes that were cold as frost before slowly began to soften, and her smile returned again, once again appearing as amiable and elegant as before.

Then, before allowing them to register her words and react, she walked towards Seraphine and suddenly said faintly,

"Madam Seraphine, you can’t be my mother because if you became one..."

She suddenly smiled, a little bit of craziness mixed in her eyes,

"...I might kill you, too. Lucien won’t like that, right?"

She asked, shocking both Seraphine and Cedric.

Looking at Lilith smiling normally, just like before, but saying such a vicious thing lightly, they didn’t know how to react.

Not to mention, they were still shocked by the revelation of Lilith killing her own mother.

Of course, they weren’t stupid enough to believe it completely. But by how Lilith’s personality shifted just now, her coldness, her smile, and her open threat, one thing was already clear to Seraphine and Cedric both.

She asked with a light teasing, making both of them speechless. However, Lilith seemed to be having fun looking at their reaction and found it quite amusing.

She thought they might be getting afraid now that they knew she had killed her own mother. After all, what kind of normal human would do such a thing?

Only a demoness like her would do, wasn’t it?

Lilith thought so.

Only, she completely forgot that who was in front of her were Lucien’s parents, and they were both in a higher realm than her.

How would they be afraid of her? They were just shocked by her shift in personality, the things she said just now, and that’s all.

So, to Lilith’s astonishment, instead of pulling away from her like everyone else or even warning their son to stay away from her, Seraphine stepped forward and embraced her, catching Lilith completely off guard.

She asked, making Lilith speechless.

She never thought Seraphine would call her sick right in front of her face.

"Sigh, I don’t know what you went through, and I don’t know your story. But looking at you, I for sure know that you are sick. And I really don’t want to have a sick daughter-in-law in my home."

Seraphine said, stunning Lilith while Cedric twitched the corner of his mouth speechlessly at the side.

"So, let me help cure your disease, shall we? Don’t worry, I won’t force you to call me mother, yet."

Seraphine smirked, whispered with a sly smile, and suddenly dragged Lilith with her outside of the room, to the astonishment of Lilith.

"Wait..."

Lilith was totally confused by her and wanted to protest, only to suddenly feel that she could no longer feel her mana.

Heck, she couldn’t even use any of her spells or even her newly awakened class. She suddenly felt all the strength leaving her body simultaneously as if something had forcefully isolated all of them.

Even the Seed of Lust’s effect was greatly reduced, which she could still access, although at a great cost.

"What... what did you do to me?"

All of this was so sudden that Lilith never even realized when her power was sealed at all.

"Don’t worry, you are just under the effect of Black Lotus Dust. The effect will disappear after a day. Now, let’s go and cure your sickness. Be obedient."

After saying that, she no longer allowed Lilith to protest, taking her away from the tower to an unknown place, leaving only Cedric standing alone in the room, awkwardly.
