CHAPTER 310: DEMON LAIR

Rowan returned from his visit to the livestock shelter.

"Darling!" Riela blasted his name as he got inside the hut. "Take a look at this."

She handed him one of his newly made robes that he hadn’t even worn yet. The formerly plain black robe now had a neat embroidery on it, resembling the head of a dragon. As

Rowan took the robe and observed it, a description popped up.

___

Enchanted Robe: A robe that has been enchanted with [Enchanted Embroidery].

Effect - Fire Power: When equipped, fire magic attack power increases by 25%.

__

"Wow." Rowan’s eyes widened.

"Riela, this is great," he turned to her and complimented. "This is a new league above your previous works. Your mastery of your skill has increased."

Riela met Rowan’s praises with a smile on her face and said, "This is best for your fire magic affinity. I was planning to make one for my water magic affinity, but I ended up making yours because I could not stop thinking about you."

Rowan’s heart melted at her words and a smile blossomed on his face. He hugged her and patted her back while whispering his appreciation in a gentle voice.

While hugging her, his mind could not stop thinking about the potency of her talent. What she had just made casually in less than twenty-four hours could be compared to magic artifacts crafted in days or even weeks. If they were in a magic-civilized society, Riela would definitely rise in both fame and wealth with such a skill.

About the last part, if the Dragun trip was successful, it wouldn’t be long before her fame grew in the new land.

’Such a skill would bring both the negative and positive aspects of fame. While good mages would patronize her, there would definitely be dark organizations trying to abduct her to use her skill to their advantage,’ Rowan thought. ’Unfortunately for them, I would always be there beside her.’

While Rowan and Riela shared their romantic moment, Dragun arrived from his six-day-long trip.

"Lord Dragun is back!"

The people venturing the streets of the village spotted him, quickly gathering around him as they demanded tales of his adventure.

"Father said there might be dragons in the new land. Did you see any of them?" A kid dragged his clothes and asked curiously.

"Is it true that the land is magical?"

Including the adults, everyone gathered around Dragun and requested stories.

Dragun smiled wryly. If only they knew what truly existed in that land.

"I’ll tell you guys lots of stories. But before that, I have to report my findings to Rowan." He said, waving the crowd away, paving his way toward Rowan’s hut.

Rowan had already strolled out of his hut after hearing the commotion outside. "We need a quiet place to discuss," Dragun said as he saw him.

Both of them then strolled to the meeting hall, which was mostly quiet.

"How was it?" Rowan inquired, clearly impatient to hear his findings.

Dragun’s face twisted into a worrisome expression as he began narrating his experience to Rowan.

It took him a good twenty minutes, consisting of several emotional shifts, before his narration was completed.

"The reason why the land was deserted in the first place was due to the appearance of a demon lair?" Rowan asked.

Dragun nodded softly. "The presence of the demon lair has made the land barren, unhealthy for plants, and deadly for humans. That is the only explanation for why such a big territory was deserted."

Rowan nodded his head as he understood Dragun’s explanation. Since he had played the game before reincarnating in this world, he knew what a demon lair was—The demon lairs exist in plenty of forms, including Pits, Rifts, and even towers. They are filled with demon race entities who share a deep hatred and bloodlust toward humans.

In the game, players were considered extremely unlucky if a demon lair appeared in their territory. The lowest-grade demon lair, Menace-grade, was already D-rank.

(A/N: Grades would be added at the end of the Chapter)

"Were you able to gauge the strength of the demon lair?" Rowan asked.

Dragun turned to look at Rowan and nodded, "It is a disaster-grade demon lair."

’A rank difficult,’ Rowan thought. ’I can take care of it.’

He turned to Dragun, "How soon can we leave for this place?"

However, hearing his question, Dragun’s face contorted in surprise as he asked, "Are you planning to clear the demon lair?"

"Obviously." Rowan responded.

Dragun’s face contorted even more as he observed Rowan for a long time. While he believed in his strength, he could not underestimate the power and smartness of the demon folks.

Unlike monsters and demonic beasts who were unintelligent and could be easily tricked, the demon folks, on the other hand, were different—They are coordinated, with plenty of tricks and trump cards up their sleeves.

Not just that, the world within the demon lair always has unbearable conditions. If a normal human were to step foot into the weakest menace-grade demon lair, they would die in a split second, without any of the demons even attacking.

And Rowan is ready to venture into one of these dungeons alone?

Thinking about it, Rowan had never explored the world outside the village. The furthest he had been from the village was the cult’s hideout and the castle of might, and it was only for a short time.

Thinking this, he decided to warn him about the danger. "Do you know how dangerous a demon lair is? A disaster-grade demon lair is about twenty times more dangerous than the monster horde and the evil spirits combined. Heck, my gauge might be incorrect, and it could turn out to be a Calamity-grade. Even if ten of you step into the demon lair together, you wouldn’t survive ten minutes."

Dragun went all out narrating the danger to Rowan.

"Who said I was going alone?" Rowan asked.

"Huh?"
