CHAPTER 80: CHAPTER 80 – IS IT ENOUGH?

Chapter 80 – Is it enough?

(If the informations and speculations are correct, there is good chance that they may invade the dungeon in order to inspect it.) – thought Thauma who was experimenting on the golem hound.

(They may wonder around, thinking what had happened to the people that were inside of the dungeon.)

(But is there a chance that would they not come?)

(That would they just give up?)

(The answer is no.)

(They want me to be their source of profit.) – thought Thauma as it began disassembling multiple golems, ranging from soldier, knight golems to hound golem.

(I don’t know what the enemy goal is... The Noble faction.)

(They said that they wanted to "own" me, but now they want to destroy me?)

(Even the people that I’ve captured know nothing.)

(And what about people outside?)

(The ones from the Royal faction?)

(Will they investigate the dungeon? There were some people recently coming in, spotting and slaying some monsters before then running away.)

(They weren’t hooded and they resembles the soldiers that were stationing in the forest.)

(Royal faction.)

(Right now they are not showing any sign of taking actions related to dungeon.... But there is a LOT of soldier right now in the forest.)

(I’ve spotted a lot of different people wondering around near the dungeon as well.)

(Are they looking for the Noble faction soldiers?)

(Will they think they had left?)

(Or will they believe that they are still inside of the dungeon?)

(Honestly, I maybe.... What was it called?)

(Paranoid?)

(Maybe I’m it.)

(Paranoid.)

(Maybe I will repeat the exact same mistake as before.)

(Maybe I wasn’t really exposed back than and if I haven’t unleashed my golems, they may not had found me.)

(Maybe I would had more time?)

(But no.)

(This time is different.)

(I’m right now target by both of these factions.)

(They know about me.)

(One wants to destroy me.)

(While the other one want to "own" me.)

(The timer I had isn’t exactly gone yet, but the amount of time has definitely shorten.)

(But would they even try to inspect the dungeon?)

(According to the books, they are aware of the dungeon "eating everything inside of it that doesn’t belong to dungeon or came from dungeon".)

(So would they really come here?)

(Chances are smaller.... They are aware they may not find anything.)

(But then again, what if another attacks comes?)

(What if it will be the same way it was with these people who came here last time and made me expose myself?)

(They were fallowed by their enemies into the dungeon.)

(What if Royal faction fallows the Noble faction into the dungeon? They only need to see them too.)

(Time is running out.)

(My current beast golems models I’ve had come up with.)

(The golem knight.)

(I took the inspiration of this golem design from the books and equipped I’ve had made.)

(Unlike any other golems I’ve had made before, this has a special made core build in, not only boosting the entire performance of the golem, but also making it stronger.)

(They are currently my "BEST" golems.)

(Speed, durability and strength. All of them are nothing like any golems I’ve build before.)

(I’ve research different form of crafting, ranging from normal blacksmithing and alchemy, to method of crafting that uses mana or combinations of all 3 aspects.)

(I’ve also used all the data and experience from the experiments I had been having, including my combat test.)

(These golems may not be "perfect", but their current power isn’t something to look down on.)

(I’ve also made 5 different models of these golems as well.)

(Axe.)

(Hammer.)

(Sword and shield.)

(Crossbow.)

(Spear and shield.)

(Each one of these knight golems are far stronger and could take on multiple iron claw golems.)

(The different in strength is just that visible.)

(I can also now make much powerful weapons even without granting any form of engraving when making a weapon.)

(However there is a main problem with these golems.)

(They are extremely pricy to make.)

(True, they maybe extremely powerful and deadly, but their entire bodies are made out specially crafted parts and their cores aren’t just some crystals, they are also specially made.)

(So, to deal with this problem I downgraded them.)

(Made a much weaker version of them.)

(I’ve also used some of the DP to research wood type materials, allowing me to obtain special form of wood called [Green Wood].)

(From what I know, the Green Word can be harvested from the tree called Mopada tree.)

(This tree apparently produces a somewhat sour tasting fruit.)

(But I don’t care about the fruit.)

(What I care about is wood.)

(The wood from this tree isn’t as hard as iron, but it is still definitely strong enough to take on some hits.)

(The new golems, the [Puppet Soldier Golems] are made out of this wood as well as out of iron.)

(I’ve made sure to reinforce the wood as well when crafting the parts out of with my skills as well as my techiest, making sure that the golems won’t be easily destroyed by the received attacks.)

(These golems are far inferior compare to the knight golems, but they are not weak.)

(If anything, they are stronger than hammer or claw golems.)

(Overall? It was worth it.)

(And I’m not talking about my experiments alone either.)

(After managing to finally create not only this new and improved body but also create the artificial mana organs, the speed of my personal growth has not been stopping at all.)

(Not only that, but learning magic has never became as easy as before!)

(And I can also do this!) – Thauma extended its hand forward and began gathering up mana in a single spot, twisting and cracking the space itself, before then disappearing.

(Space magic! I’ve had finally obtained it!)

"..."

(But it does straight up nothing.) – thought Thauma as it repeated the process on the random sword nearby, trying to hit the sword with the same magic as before..... Which resulted in straight up nothing happening to the sword, not even moving it.

(I’ve researched this magic in desperation.)

(I thought it could show some.... Well, some potential?)

(I’ve spent months trying to obtain this affinity.)

(For months there was nothing.)

(Not even single spark or anything.)

(But I’ve had finally obtained it!)

(But it does straight up nothing.)

(Like, it does straight up nothing no matter the way I use it.)

(I cannot attack or move anything with it.)

(I’ve also tried creating the pocket space just like Ariava did, but I couldn’t.)

(I’ve looked through Ariava guidance book that she left me about space magic..... And apparently even basic mastery of this element takes a lot of time.)

(The basic version of this skill is too unstable and can’t be used at all unless you have extremely high amount of mana to spare.)

(The only way to be even be able to use a single thing would be reach and evolve this skill into [Space Magic – Level 1].)

(But even after I’ve obtained this affinity, It did quiet sometime to leveled it up even once.)

(Hell, I’ve managed to level up just a tiny bit all 3 affinities I’m not good at all. I still suck at all 3 of these elements, but I was able to deepen even a bit my connections with them.)

(As for my two best affinities? The arcane and earth?)

(Well, when it comes to arcane, I’ve gotten way better at it. I’m primary using it when it comes down to crafting that uses mana and such.)

(As for the earth magic?) – Thauma put one of his hands against the wall, before moments later several hands manifested from the ground and started making different kind of gestures.

(I’ve gotten way better at it than I’ve could had ever imagined.)

(I’ve combined my crafting and golem research experience with the earth magic.)

(Experimented over and over.)

(Came up with different kind of spells..... And finally!)

Thauma put its hands on the ground, before moments later the earth began changing shape once again, but this time into not something simple, but instead into something humanoid.

The dirt and rocks combined, changed form and size, before then taking on a form similar to the golem knight, equipped with a single sword made out of the exact same earth as its body.

(I can create golems with my own magic.)

(Creating golems do use up a lot of mana and I do need to continually provide it with mana if I need to operate the golem.)

(There is also question if I operate the golem personal or automatically.) – thought Thauma before then causing the golem body to collapse, before then manipulating the dirt and rocks, making them take on different shapes.

(If I were to say about my earth magic in total? It is strong.)

(It is my strongest weapon I wield and specializes in.)

(One of my main weapons.)

(I’ve even picked the [Earth Mage] class after I was done with the [Alchemist] class, all in order to strengthen my power over earth.)

(Overall? I’m strong. And my dungeon is strong.)

(I’m even researching new stuff and even making new golems. Like the prototype hound golem.)

(I’ve even had made a special golem that is specially designed to kill annoying opponents.)

(The spider bomb golem.)

-Small golem resembling a ball with four legs.

-Low defense and speed.

-Posses four set of claw like legs that allows it to walk around and even climb on both walls as well as ceilings.

-Posses only a single means of attacking – Self destruction – Causes mana crystals inside of the body to go berserk and blow up, unleashing powerful explosion.

(In the fight against the Noble faction, they had played their part far better than I’ve thought.)

(I knew making some traps and placing them around the dungeon would not work against as somebody as powerful as that bear beastman..... So instead I’ve made a trap that would go straight towards him.)

(True, he may see it coming, but this is my best bet of dealing with him.)

(But even with all of this, I don’t know if it will be enough.)

(This body isn’t a prototype.)

(It is a fully functional body that is made out fully of costume made parts and not some pass produced crap.)

(Not only that, my dungeon has grown a lot.)

(Thanks to the monsters not blocking space, I was able to produce monsters nonstop, allowing me to not stockpile on DP, but also expand my dungeon.)

(But is it enough?)

(No.)

(It may not be enough.)

(I need more informations.)

(More data.)

(They will come, no matter what.)

(There is no such thing as "ready" right now.)

(All I need to care about is making dungeon and myself as strong as possible before the enemy arrives.)

(And I need also research my enemy more.)

(I need to understand what I could be truly facing in the future.)

[Meanwhile: Duke Ash mansion.]

"We are declaring a rebellion." – said duke Ash.

"!?"

"WOWOWOWOWOW!"

"A war!? We are declaring a war!?" – said confused noble as he and the entire room filled with nobles was completely caught off guard, causing the room instantly to be filled with confusion until all the knights in the room hit the ground with their weapons, instantly silencing everybody.

"It is not a matter of ’If’ or ’maybe’. We are doing this." – said duke Ash.

"But.... Why? Isn’t going to the war too drastic decision?" – asked human nobleman.

"Yea! I mean, we are slowly killing down the suspicious and rumors!" – said the beastman nobleman.

"At the rate things are going we can- "

"WE CAN’T YOU IDIOTS!" – shouted duke Ash.

"LOOK AROUND THE ROOM!"

"You fucked up!"

"You couldn’t keep your people under control! Nor yourself!"

"Royal faction has already captured and locked up some of our own people!"

"And they also have some evidence on some of you!"

"If you think we can just wait it out, let the storm go by, then fucking no."

"The Royal faction is aiming to completely disassemble the Noble faction no matter what."

"The name of the Nobel faction is being tarnished and torn to shreds."

"And once our name is gone, what do you think happens next, hm?"

"What do you think would happened to all of us?"

"We would be either reduced to nothing or maybe straight up banished."

"Hell! I wouldn’t be even surprised if we were just straight up thrown in prisons!"

"This is OUR current situation!"

"That or maybe something worse! Even I can’t tell!"

(All because of one person.) – thought duke Ash as he faced away from the nobles and clenched his fist hard enough until they started bleeding.

(A single idiot somehow managed to make worst and I mean the WORST POSSIBLE CHOICE EVER OUT OF ALL THE CHOICES HE COULD HAD MADE!)

(Years worth of effort, all ruined because of a single idiot mistake!?)

(Even when I’ve fucking murdered that bastard personal and left the fake evidence that would end his entire blood line framed as traitors, it did not worked at all as distraction!)

(And to make situation worse, the Royal faction is using both this and the fuck up with the dungeon as their advantage in order to try and devour us fucking whole!)

"Doing political work won’t work anymore."

"If any of you wish to survive, then there is only one way."

"Take it."

"Take the crown!"

"Take the kingdom!"

"This isn’t any longer about control!"

"But about survival!"

"That or you all get beheaded by the ’War Bear’ personally."

"I really don’t want to do it either, but we no longer have any option."

"If anybody have any opinion about why we shouldn’t do it, speak up."

The nobles looked around and whispered amongst themselves.

Fear and panic.

They do want to take over the control over entire kingdom and completely obliterate the entire Royal faction.... But the revolution will have its own problems.

However, they also knew that if they won’t do it, they all may end up suffering. Some may lose everything they have, while some others may end up straight up getting banished.

And for these nobles? This would be fate worse than death.

In the end, nobody opposed the duke Ash.

Nobody dared to do so.

"Good..... Good..."

"I can see that you can use your heads."

"Well then, this is official."

"The Noble faction shall now be renamed as the ’new Garmfon kingdom’ and we shall raise our flags of rebellion against the Royal faction!"

"We shall exterminate all of them!"

"All of those who shall oppose us?"

"They will all be met with death!"

"They think they are the only ones who can show no mercy?!"

"Well screw them!"

"How about we gave them taste of their own medicine!"

"There won’t be any mercy for those fucker!" – shouted duke Ash, rallying up the nobles in the room, before moments later the duke raised his hand, causing all of the knights to strike the ground once again to silence the entire room.

"I know, I know."

"You are thinking about getting ready to fight."

"But sit down."

"Since this meeting isn’t over."

"Once we declare our rebellion, a war will instantly broke out."

"And when it does, things will end up chaotic."

"But there is a problem."

"The longer the war would last, the weaker our kingdom would become."

"We need to aim for the quick victory."

"And so, we need to weaken as well as destroy the Royal factions morals."

"To do that, we need to play smart."

"If we do this right, we will not only deal a critical blow to the whole Royal faction military power, but as well as their supporters." – said duke Ash before snapping his fingers, fallowed up with his knights taking out and spreading a giant map on the table.

"You see these locations marked with red dots? These are our main targets."

"We need to strike in these locations and cause as much damage as possible in order to make people stop believing in the Royal faction, making them seem weak."

"And we will also need these."

"The ore mines and large mines."

"We need to stripe the Royal faction out of these things."

"We need to rob them out of means of securing funds."

"And we also need this."

"The golem dungeon."

"Honestly, I’ve wanted to destroy this place, but by the looks of things it is no longer option we can take."

"We need to secure this dungeon and turn it into the national level dungeon ourselves if we wish to recover after the war."

"Do you get it?"

"I want ALL OF YOU to take over these critical locations."

"Without them, the Royal faction will burn down to ashes and in the end of the day, we will be the ones sitting on the throne."
