Los Angeles Legendary Sleuth
Chapter 1104 - 487: Sudden Change
Chloe Community.
In a dim basement, the environment was slightly damp, with lots of clutter piled around, and a bed placed in the corner.
Two large iron chains were tied to the wall at the head of the bed, with the other side cuffed to the ankle of a young Caucasian girl. Her hands were also handcuffed, wearing a black camisole with nothing on below.
The girl chained up was Isa Redman. Her expression was somewhat haggard, and she had many bruises on her body.
"Creak..."
The basement door opened.
A short-haired girl, about the same age as Isa Redman, walked into the basement. She wore a white T-shirt and light blue jeans and carried a plastic tray, placing it at the foot of the bed.
Isa Redman lifted her head, her tear-filled eyes looking at the short-haired girl, chokingly asking, "Did you get the ransom?"
"It's still unclear right now."
"My parents will definitely pay the money and absolutely won't call the police. Will you let me go after receiving the money?" Isa Redman's voice was somewhat helpless.
"Eat something first." The short-haired girl pushed the tray forward slightly. It held a serving of spaghetti and a can of milk.
Isa Redman looked at the tray, her tears 'plopping' down, "I'm used to eating spaghetti with a fork. Can I have a fork?"
The short-haired girl shook her head, "You know I can't make decisions, so please don't make it difficult for me.
Hurry up and eat, I have to leave with the tray after you're done."
Isa Redman wiped her tears, grabbed the noodles with her right hand, and started wolfing them down, staining her black camisole as the noodles fell on it.
Isa Redman seemed extremely hungry, quickly finishing the spaghetti on the tray and drinking the can of milk.
After eating, Isa Redman looked at the short-haired girl again, "I feel really dirty, I want to take a shower."
The short-haired girl picked up the tray, walked to the door, and reminded, "Being a bit dirty isn't a bad thing for you.
Stop making so many requests, not everyone is like me..."
Isa Redman covered her mouth and sobbed, "Please help me, I really don't want to die!"
The short-haired girl hesitated for a moment, "I'll plead for you, but that's all I can do."
After speaking, the short-haired girl closed the basement door and left.
Isa Redman squatted in the corner, huddled and started crying bitterly.
She thought of her parents and her African-American boyfriend.
She longed to see them again...
The short-haired girl went back to the first floor, entered the kitchen, and washed the tray clean.
A middle-aged Caucasian man walked eagerly into the living room, pointing at the short-haired girl with his right hand and laughing, "Sofia, have you arranged the cleaning company?"
"Yes, they'll come to clean early tomorrow morning."
"Great, load the things into the car, it's time to leave Los Angeles."
The short-haired girl called Sofia asked back, "Did they get the cash?"
"Yes.
They used a homeless man to get the cash as planned, a total of six million US dollars.
We're rich!" The middle-aged Caucasian man pumped his fist, "They're driving to the meeting place, and we also need to hurry, leaving Los Angeles sooner is better."
"Hugo, is there anything else you need me to do?"
"Pack our things into the car, as fast as you can."
"What about the hostage? What do you plan to do with her?"
"You don't need to worry about the hostage, I'll handle it. No need to waste time on it, got it?"
"OK." Sofia responded, loading the already packed luggage into the car.
At this time, the man referred to as Hugo also brought Isa Redman out, still in her black camisole, bare below, with handcuffs on her hands and tape over her mouth.
Sofia had a look of reluctance, "I think we should let her wear some clothes."
"No, she doesn't need it, she looks beautiful now." Hugo picked up Isa Redman and stuffed her directly into the trunk.
Sofia opened her mouth, seemingly wanting to say something, but in the end, she remained silent, sitting in the back seat of the car.
Hugo sat in the driver's seat, turned his head to glance at the house next to him, "I'll miss this place, this will be a turning point in my life."
After saying this, he stepped on the accelerator, and the car quickly sped off into the night.
At that moment, it was not yet one a.m., the surroundings were pitch dark, and there were almost no vehicles on the road.
The car had been driving for about ten minutes when Hugo drove the gray Volkswagen into a small street, mostly filled with shops, with no residents nearby, very quiet.
A little further away, a black Dodge was parked, its hazard lights flashing, the only movement on the entire street.
Hugo parked the car near the black Dodge, turned to Sofia, and said, "It's them. I'll go down and check, you keep an eye on the hostage."
Hugo got out of the car, waved at the black Dodge, and pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, lighting one up.
Two people got out of the black Dodge, one was Tom, and the other was a Mexican accomplice.
Tom looked at the Volkswagen across and asked, "Where's Sofia? Why don't you let her come down too? I wanted her to see what six million dollars looks like, haha."
"She's in the car watching over the hostage." Hugo handed two cigarettes over.
Tom took one, pulled out a lighter, and lit it.
The Mexican man also asked, "We've already got the money, shouldn't we deal with the hostage issue now?"
