Oakwood Bar.

Luke has been in New York for a while, but this is his first time visiting a New York bar.

New York is more crowded than Los Angeles, but it's also more lively, with a more vibrant nightlife.

Luke and his group entered the bar, which was already packed. The decor was quite unique. The tables and chairs were made of copper, giving it a vintage feel. The walls were adorned with oak barrel staves, surrounded by cabinets full of rum, tequila, red wine, Armagnac, but mostly whiskey.

There were six people in Luke's group, including Michael, Amir, Louise, a black detective, and a Mexican detective.

The six of them sat around a semi-circular sofa. Louise looked at Amir beside her, "Are you sure you can drink?"

"Of course, I feel great, strong enough to eat a whole lamb." Amir bent his right arm to show off his not-so-obvious bicep.

A young white male waiter holding a menu walked over and asked, "Good evening, what would you like to drink?"

"Of course, we're here for the whiskey. I'll have a Macallan, 12 years, with ice."

"Bourbon, no ice."

"A glass of Chivas, thank you."

...

After everyone ordered their drinks, Michael paid the bill and gave the waiter a ten-dollar tip.

Michael spread his hands, "Guys, what do you think of this bar?"

Luke scanned the surroundings, "The decor and ambience of the bar are nice." Luke looked at the rows of liquor cabinets, "Does this bar specialize in whiskey?"

"Yes, the owner of this bar is a whiskey enthusiast. It's said that his initial motivation for opening the bar was to taste and collect all kinds of whiskey from around the world. They claim this place has the most diverse stock of whiskey in New York."

Amir showed a curious expression, "Advisor Lee, how did you find Zhou Tiansheng?"

Luke explained, "Zhou Tiansheng was located through a leader of He Sheng Hall who found a cosmetic surgery clinic. He Sheng Hall's base is in Chinatown. It's quite normal for me to have some connections there as I have Chinese heritage, right?"

Michael said, "Anyway, we owe this to you. If you hadn't found the clinic where Zhou Tiansheng was, the guy might have gotten away."

The white waiter came over with a black tray and placed a few glasses of whiskey and a plate of corn chips on the table.

Michael raised his glass and proposed, "Guys, let's toast to Advisor Lee."

Louise was the first to raise her glass, "To Advisor Lee."

The others also raised their glasses to Luke.

Luke smiled and raised his glass, "Catching Zhou Tiansheng couldn't have happened without everyone's effort. Cheers to us all."

"Cheers!"

Luke took a sip of whiskey, savoring the flavor. It had a refreshing taste with a hint of oak fragrance.

Recalling the bar's name, Oakwood Bar.

Michael looked at Luke, "How does it taste?"

"It's good, richer than I expected."

Amir explained, "You ordered whiskey with ice. The special thing about this bar is that they use chilled metal cubes instead of real ice, so you get the coolness without diluting the drink's richness."

Luke glanced down at his glass, noticing the two silver-colored metal cubes of unknown material, "Interesting, I'll try it next time."

Amir was curious, "What are Los Angeles bars like? I've never been there."

Luke said, "Bars are pretty similar; they just incorporate some local features. However, bars in Los Angeles close early, usually only open until 2 am."

"Then New York wins, you can drink here until 4 am. Those people you see around at 4 am in New York are mostly just drunkards, haha."

Luke asked in return, "You've really never been to Los Angeles?"

"No, although I've always wanted to go, I've never had the time or opportunity."

Luke invited, "If you ever come to Los Angeles, remember to call me, and I'll buy you a drink." Luke pointed to the others, "You all too."

Amir asked, "Are you planning to go back to Los Angeles?"

In fact, not only was he curious about this question, but everyone present wanted to know.

"That's right, I've already bought a ticket back to Los Angeles. There are a bunch of things waiting for me to deal with there. If I don't go back soon, the LAPD might fire me."

Michael asked, "Why not stay at the New York FBI office? I'm sure Negan would be willing to keep you if you asked."

Luke self-deprecatingly said, "Because I still prefer shouting 'LAPD!' while on duty."

"Haha."

Everyone laughed, drawing a few curious looks from people nearby.

Louise asked, "Will you come back? We'll miss you."

Luke glanced at Michael beside him and joked, "I'll come back when Michael officially becomes the team leader."

Michael shook his head with a wry smile, "Hey, buddy, don't drag me into this."

But on a serious note, working with you has been a pleasure.

"Same here, I'll miss you all." Luke raised his glass, "Guys, let's have another toast."

"Cheers"

Michael took a big sip, almost finishing his glass, "If we run into a tricky case, can we consult you?"

Luke nodded, "Even though I'm leaving New York, I'm still a detective consultant for the FBI. That won't change, feel free to reach out anytime."
