CHAPTER 63: CHAPTER025 THE OLD DRUNKARD’S INTENT

It seemed she had slept for a long time; Su Wan was awakened by thirst. Squinting at the unfamiliar room, she suddenly recalled that she was at God’s house.

The faint light streaming through the blinds indicated it was still daytime.

The pain in her abdomen had eased considerably, and Su Wan glanced around.

God’s room was extremely simple in terms of color—black, white, and gray. The decorations were all elegant and plain, quite reflective of his style.

She pulled the quilt closer and took a whiff; it was filled with his refreshing and pleasant scent.

Feeling inexplicably thrilled, Su Wan clutched the quilt and, contrary to her usual self, rolled around on the bed a few times before burying her face in the pillow, giggling softly.

She actually slept in God’s bed \(//∇//)\

She slept in God’s bed \(//∇//)\

She felt like a lovesick fool.

The phone on the bedside table beeped a few times. Su Wan picked it up and glanced at it; all the messages were from the class group chat. Normally, Su Wan wouldn’t pay attention to these, but she was in a great mood, so she opened WeChat and started scrolling through the messages one by one.

Pagnana: "The New Year’s party is really exhausting. I haven’t slept for almost two days preparing for a program."

Ah Min: "Who asked you, a wind instrument player, to join the drama club? Too much time on your hands?"

Wangzai Xiaocaitou: "How sad, how sad."

Pagnana: "Is it my fault? How was I supposed to know the club president would make me script a play, and it had to be a pure romance? How should an old virgin who’s never dated tackle this? Oh, and the proper name for what I play is ’flute.’"

Ah Min: "We didn’t say you were playing the flute!"

Pagnana: "..."

Old Captain: "Nana, be content. Seeing you’re from the music department, they only asked you to write the script. Once it’s done, you can retire with honor."

Pagnana: "The problem is, I really can’t continue with this!"

Fu’s Bamboo Little Chengyang: "Haven’t eaten pork but seen pigs run? Come on, Brother Yang will help you."

It’s Yao Ye, Not Sway Ya: "Xu Chengyang, you can step back."

Qiaozi: "Xu Chengyang, you can step back."

Fu’s Bamboo Little Chengyang: "Look down on me, do you? Nana, bring it on!"

Pagnana: "The president said to write some subtle yet explicit confession lines."

Mendel Jin: "So should it be subtle or explicit?"

Pagnana: "Subtle but not without explicitness, explicit but with a touch of subtlety?"

Qiaozi: "..."

It’s Yao Ye, Not Sway Ya: "..."

Wangzai Xiaocaitou: "My hand through your black hair?"

Mozart’s Little Brother: "Caitou, are you sure this isn’t a Rejoice shampoo ad?"

Ah Min: "My lips after kissing yours?"

Pagnana: "That’s not bad. Any more?"

Fu’s Bamboo Little Chengyang: "My heart in love with your person."

It’s Yao Ye, Not Sway Ya: "My hand wanting to strangle your neck with:)"

Swan: "My person who slept in your bed?"

Pagnana: "..."

Fu’s Bamboo Little Chengyang: "!!!"

It’s Yao Ye, Not Sway Ya: "!!!"

Old Captain: "!!!"

Ah Min: "!!!"

Qiaozi: "!!!"

Wangzai Xiaocaitou: "Wow!!! Did I see it wrong? That ID just now?"

Old Captain: "Su Wan?"

Mendel Jin: "Moved just by a word.... The high and cold flower is actually so unrestrained?"

...

More messages kept popping up in the group chat, which Su Wan didn’t see because, after sending that message, Fu Weiheng came through the door, startling her into tossing her phone and sitting up at once. Thus, she missed the barrage of messages Xu Chengyang and Yao Ye were sending her in the dorm chat.

Fu Weiheng walked to the bedside, gently brushed a strand of her hair, and asked in a soft voice, "Does your stomach still hurt?"

Su Wan shook her head and asked, "What time is it?"

"It’s noon," he replied, sitting down on the edge of the bed, "Get up and eat."

Su Wan nodded.

Originally, Fu Weiheng had planned to let her have breakfast before going back to sleep, but seeing her in so much pain, he couldn’t bring himself to wake her. After settling Su Wan in the morning, he made a phone call to Zhang Lin, asking him to notify the team of a day off and to bring the company files to the apartment. Without meetings, reviewing documents could be done anywhere.

After washing her face, Su Wan followed him to the living room. Fu Weiheng turned on the TV, instructing her to sit and watch some TV, while he quietly went into the kitchen.

About five minutes later, Fu Weiheng came out of the kitchen with a steaming cup in his hand. Su Wan was zoning out staring at the TV, taking a long time to snap back.

Fu Weiheng sat down beside her and handed the cup to her, "Drink this."

Su Wan came back to her senses and took the cup from his hand, smelling it: "Red date tea?"

He nodded: "Drink it first. I ordered some takeout, it should arrive soon."

Su Wan took a sip. The temperature was just right, neither cold nor hot, and the sweetness from the brown sugar was just perfect. She smiled and asked, "Did you make this?"

Fu Weiheng casually replied, "Yeah, I made it poorly, but make do."

She tilted her head back and took a large gulp, "It’s pretty good."

Once she finished the cup, Su Wan wiped her mouth clean. As she was about to put the mug on the coffee table, Fu Weiheng took it first and put it aside, then leaned in to kiss her.

Kissing was something that became a habit after practice. After a few times, Su Wan no longer blushed furiously like she used to, and now she was even learning to lightly respond to his kiss.

...

It was then that a knock on the door rang out.

Su Wan was startled, her heart racing, and she turned her head aside to stop him from continuing: "You...you get up."

Fu Weiheng reluctantly straightened her collar, got up, steadied his breathing, and prepared to answer the door.

A bright-red Su Wan said, "Um... I’ll go..."

Fu Weiheng’s ears turned slightly red, and he replied softly, "Okay."

...

After the meal, out of courtesy and etiquette, Su Wan got up to clean the dishes, but Fu Weiheng pulled her back: "Go rest, I’ll do it."

Su Wan did not insist further, put down the dishes, and ran to hang out in the living room. Having slept most of the morning and after drinking that cup of red date tea, she felt much more refreshed, and her stomach didn’t hurt so much anymore. She didn’t want to waste the whole afternoon.

When Fu Weiheng finished washing the dishes and came out of the kitchen, she eagerly went up to him, her gaze bright: "Neil, my stomach no longer hurts. Could you take me back to school to practice piano this afternoon?"

Fu Weiheng raised an eyebrow and replied, "Slept in my bed and now you want to leave?"

Su Wan: "..."

It’s not like I slept with you...

Fu Weiheng took her to the piano room next to the study: "You can practice here too."

Su Wan’s eyes lit up, her mood elevated, she kissed his cheek and smiled: "Neil, you’re so nice."

Fu Weiheng was amused by her sudden change in demeanor and went back to the living room to fetch her piano, saying, "You practice well, I’m next door, call me if you need anything."

"Will it disturb you?" Su Wan looked puzzled at the study room that was separated by only a wall from the piano room.

"No." He went in and got her the piano and sheet music, "The piano room’s soundproofing was specially designed by someone I hired."

Su Wan felt reassured: "Great! Then you work well."

Fu Weiheng didn’t say much more and left the piano room quietly, closing the door.

Only after dinner did Su Wan return to school.

After dropping her off and returning to the apartment, it was already past eight, and Fu Weiheng was a bit tired. After taking a shower, he lifted the quilt and sat on the bed. When he shook the pillow, he inadvertently found a phone under it with a silver-white case, evidently not his.

He picked up the phone and pressed the Home button out of habit. The screen lit up, filled with notification messages, mostly from WeChat. He didn’t intend to snoop on Su Wan’s phone, but the two missed calls from strangers at the top caught his attention.

The phone number looked somewhat familiar.

To confirm, he picked up his own black phone, pulled up a contact number, and compared it to the one on Su Wan’s phone. After confirming they were the same, he dialed with his own phone.

Before long, the call was answered, a lazy voice from the other end: "Neil?"

Fu Weiheng’s deep eyes darkened sharply: "We need to talk, Zhi Yan."

After hanging up, Fu Weiheng changed into an overcoat, tucked Su Wan’s phone into his coat pocket, and left with a cold expression.

The meeting was set in a private room at Magic. When Fu Weiheng pushed the door open and entered, Jiang Zhiyan was already there, lounging on the sofa, holding a glass of red wine, looking relaxed and easygoing.

Fu Weiheng strode up to him, pulled out a stack of red bills from his wallet, and tossed it onto the low table in front of him with a crisp "thud."

The intense and cold demeanor carried a touch of territorial assertion.

Jiang Zhiyan bit on a cigarette, straightened up, and swayed the stack of RMB, smiling: "Is Mr. Fu flaunting his wealth to me?"

Fu Weiheng’s tone wasn’t pleasant, and his expression was frosty: "My girlfriend doesn’t need to spend other people’s money."

Jiang Zhiyan paused his hand that was waving the money, squinted his eyes, and exhaled a puff of smoke: "What? Afraid I’ll snatch your girlfriend?"

"You don’t have that skill." Fu Weiheng’s expression remained unchanged as he cast him a glance and solemnly reminded, "Zhi Yan, don’t forget why you returned to the country this time."

"Heh..." Jiang Zhiyan’s lips curled into a mocking smile, muttering to himself, "Can I forget..."

Fu Weiheng didn’t respond further and turned to leave.

However, Jiang Zhiyan suddenly stood up, his tone serious as he softly said, "Su Wan, she is my aunt’s daughter, the cousin I mentioned to you
