CHAPTER 106: CHAPTER 106: THIS IS GOING OUT OF CONTROL 2

Since all of it escalated too fast. Way too fast than his mind could comprehend.

Jessica could not help but squealed, her face so red it looked like it had been dipped in boiling water.

She covered it with both hands, trembling like a kettle about to explode. But the misunderstanding had already taken root.

It was perfectly locked in and sealed.

Because of that Jessica’s vision spun a bit as her knees wobbled. The full weight of shyness crushed her from every direction.

It was simply too much for Jessica. Her legs wobbled as her vision blurred, and for a moment she truly felt like she might pass out.

This conversation that led to misunderstanding to misunderstanding had pushed her to her limit.

She was a virgin girl, completely innocent, and now she was being dragged through the worst kind of misunderstanding that could have ever happened in history.

But she had to endure it, because if she didn’t, if she cracked now, she might end up back in her parents’ house which she didn’t want to happen.

Rose who was caught up in her panic, didn’t even notice Jessica’s flushed face or trembling body.

She kept lightly shaking her, unaware that the poor girl was on the verge of collapsing.

"You poor girl, don’t worry okay? Because we’ll fix this. We still have time to talk about safe days, cycles, vitamins, and..." Rose suddenly gasped.

"Have you even taken folic acid?!"

Jessica’s eyes wobbled with panic as her body jolted from Rose’s repeated shaking.

"W-we didn’t— I mean I didn’t— not like that! There was no doing— I mean I wasn’t doing! He wasn’t either!" she cried out, her words collapsing on top of each other like dominoes.

She could not take it anymore, because her thoughts were perfectly scrambled.

Her heart was pounding and more than anything, she hated herself in that moment, for not finding a single clear sentence to fix this complete disaster.

But the one she hated the most in that moment was Jeff. He just stood there, frozen, not even trying to help explain.

There was not a word and not a single lifeline.

Her face was steaming, and her legs finally gave out from the overwhelming embarrassment. She collapsed right there on the spot, finally passing out completely.

Rose’s eyes widened as she caught her, panic setting in again. She lightly shook Jessica’s unconscious body, her voice frantic.

"Hey! Hey! Wake up! We haven’t talked about monthly timing yet!" she cried, completely oblivious to the emotional meltdown that had just taken place.

Rose kept shaking Jessica, who was already out cold with her arms limp and eyes rolled up like a ghost had taken her soul.

Seeing this, Jeff finally couldn’t take it anymore. He took a cautious step forward, raising a hand.

"Uh... Aunt Rose... I think Jessica..."

He didn’t even get to finish the sentence. As Rose glare snapped toward him like a whip, and he instantly swallowed a mouthful of saliva, too cowardly to continue.

Then she turned back to Jessica’s unconscious face, and the panic on her own shifted instantly.

Her expression dropped from scolding to full-blown alarm. "Jessica...?" she whispered, gently tapping her cheek.

"Jessica, sweetie...?" Her features softened.

The sharp edges of her expression melted away, replaced by a motherly gaze full of worry and frantic compassion.

"Oh no. You poor thing," she whispered, gently cradling Jessica’s head like it was a wounded baby bird.

"You passed out from the stress, didn’t you? Of course you did. Of course you did. You’re still so young..."

Then her eyes snapped up toward Jeff, and her voice rose like a siren, cutting through the room.

"Jeff! Look at what you’ve done to this poor girl!"

"What if she ends up pregnant, huh?! Do you think that’s something easy to deal with?! Do you think raising a child is as simple as passing your math exam?!"

Jeff winced helplessly, each word striking him like a relentless barrage to the heart.

He wanted to speak and to explain of course, but her voice was overwhelming.

It was like standing in the middle of a storm without shelter, and all he could do was brace himself as the scolding continued.

"She’ll have to stop school! Her parents will lose their minds! Not only her parents, but your mother as well! Do you know how much a baby costs in diapers alone?! What about checkups?! Vaccines?! What are you going to do if the baby cries all night while you’re doing your assignments?! Can you handle that, young man?!"

Jeff nodded slowly as he just wants her to stop.

His ears were ringing from the sheer volume of her shouting, and at this point, he wasn’t sure if he was agreeing or just trying to survive.

"Yes... I mean no... I mean I understand," he muttered, voice barely above a whisper, hoping she’d run out of steam.

Seeing him nod and the uncertainty in his voice, Rose suddenly broke apart.

Her shoulders trembled, and tears welled up in her eyes, as it spilled down her cheeks.

Jeff stood frozen, his soul practically leaving his body as he watched everything spiral even further out of control.

"Oh no, you two—you two are reall-really..." she stuttered through a muffled groan, wiping at her eyes.

"I’ve told your mother to take care of you... sniff... but you actually impregnated someone," she cried in a low voice.

It was trembling with disappointment and heartbreak.

"Impregnate? Impregnated my ass," Jeff cursed inwardly, grinding his teeth.

How did it come to this? Everything was supposed to be simple. A peaceful day and a short trip but because of what happened back there with those thugs, the quick return was ruined leading to this.

But the question is why had it turned into this complete emotional disaster? He badly wanted to know the answer.

Also, his aunt’s mind was truly beyond comprehension. And Jessica’s stuttering, panicked, out-of-place responses had only poured gasoline on the fire.

Now everything was perfectly, horribly misunderstood. Jeff stood there, speechless, watching Rose cry over something that never even happened.

His mind was blank completely overwhelmed. He wanted to stop the lie right there and then.

Because the worry in her eyes was real. Jeff could see it, the fear, the heartache, all of it wasn’t an act.

And that made it worse, so much worse.

But Jeff stopped himself, since this had already gone too far. There was no clean way to rewind the chaos.

Then for some unknown reason, a single quote echoed in his head.

"Autobots, let’s roll." He sighed as he thought about it and now, he finally decided.

"Fine. I would roll with it"

"Yes, aunt. I’m very sorry about this," Jeff said solemnly as he stepped behind her and gently patted her on the shoulder like a wise sage comforting a grieving widow.

Then his face lit up, his expression turning bright with a cheerful, sunny smile.

"But on the bright side," he said, almost glowing with optimism.

"We still don’t even know if she’ll get pregnant, right?"

For a moment, silence fell, because of what he said Rose eyes twitched. And Rose slowly turned her head, the sound of her neck cracking louder than any thunder.

Jeff who was blissfully unaware of the storm he was stirring, continuing his self just like a man explaining science to a volcano.

"I mean, if you just think about it, fertilization doesn’t happen instantly. First, the ovulation cycle has to align. Statistically, a woman is only fertile for about twenty-four to forty-eight hours in a cycle, and that’s assuming perfect conditions. If we factor in external stress, physical exhaustion, and hormonal fluctuation, the probability drops even more. Not to mention, the average chance of pregnancy per single unprotected encounter is around twenty to twenty five percent at peak fertility. And even then, fertilization doesn’t guarantee implantation. It’s actually quite miraculous when it does happen..."

Thud!

Jessica’s unconscious body suddenly slipped from Rose’s grasp and hit the floor with a dull bonk, her head bouncing slightly against the carpet.

Her eyes that were still dazed, rolled into dizzy little spirals as if her soul had tapped out completely.

But for Jeff? he didn’t even notice this scene as he was still talking with closed eyes.

"And if you consider the uterine lining during high-stress moments, there’s also a high probability of rejection due to hormonal imbalance. Actually, in one study they found that..."

He paused briefly, recalling scenes from a dozen different medical dramas, documentaries, and random YouTube rabbit holes.

He mashed them all together into what he believed was a solid, emotionally comforting explanation.

"And so, all things considered, Aunt, it’s actually a beautiful biological defense system. Nature is smart. You don’t need to cry. The odds are like, scientifically on our side."

"And if you consider Jessica’s current physical state and diet, which I noticed hasn’t had much folic acid or iron intake lately, the chance of early gestational retention would statistically..."

WHACK!

A slipper flew through the air with precision as it landed squarely against Jeff’s face.

The sound echoed like justice has been served.

Jeff could not help but staggered, as he kept blinking. His mouth hung open mid-fact. His hand slowly reached to his face where the spot of the impact.

He was surprised that he did not even feel anything, which is the amazing effect of kinetic energy itself.

"YOU STILL HAVE THE NERVE TO SMILE AFTER ALL THIS, MUCH LESS EXPLAIN?!" Rose screamed.

As she was now smacking Jeff with anything within arm’s reach, slippers, throw shoes, a rolled-up magazine, even a plastic flower vase.

"OW! OW! WAIT, LET ME FINISH THE FORMULA!"

Jeff cried out in confusion, ducking and shielding his head as the barrage of auntie-rage rained down like divine punishment.

He had truly believed his science talk would calm her down, offer her clarity, maybe even earn a nod of approval.

But clearly, the results were statistically catastrophic.

"Finish the formula? Then why should I not go ahead and finish you?" Rose snapped, her voice cold but her eyes blazing with fury.

Already in full rage mode, she stormed toward Jeff like a force of nature that could not be reasoned with.

Because of that multiple sound of destructive sound was heard.

Thud!

Smack!

Whap~

The sound of pure, righteous beating echoed through as they unknowingly arrived at the living room as Jeff’s helpless cries followed.

"Wait! Wait! That’s a glass coaster!" he shouted.

Seeing what she was holding she stopped making Jeff closed his eyes and sighed in relief.

Buth when all of a sudden, "OW!"

He opened his eyes and saw what it was, "Is that a TV remote!"

"YOU’RE STILL TALKING?!" she shouted angrily
