Xavier was expecting her to bring out flames from her mouth as usual, but this time her hands just burst into flames, it immediately enveloped her entire body, and her transformation began.

It wasn't explosive since it wasn't a battle, her form changed with scales and flames covering her body as she grew in size, her wings sprouted out and she opened her mouth to yawn.

Xavier thought she was going to let out a scream and wanted to stop her but nothing came out as she turned her head to him.

"What are you waiting for let's go" Star spoke, her voice much different when when she was in human form.

One of her wings was stretched down so Xavier could use it as a foothold even then he could just jump on her back, he climbed her careful and now that he was on top, he knew this was going to be a bumpy ride.

She had a line of scales that stood up starting from her head and reaching her tail so there was no way he was going to be balanced while she was flying.

"I had no idea your back was this rough, I'm definitely not going to like this journey" Xavier muttered.

"Oh..." Star muttered as she shook her body slightly and all the scales laid down on her back causing the area to be flat.

"Ohh, I had no idea you could do that, well then...we should be on our way" Xavier spoke as he sat down, slightly close to her head so his legs could cling to her neck.

Star stretched her wings first before finally taking off, she pushed off the ground with all four of her legs and then her wings continued carrying her upward till they were above the trees and finally they were in the sky.

Xavier turned around and he could see the sun behind him, below he could also see the entire village as they were high enough and soon they were above the water and the village slowly got out of sight.

Xavier was really comfortable on her back and the flight was smooth, it felt like Star got into auto pilot as they reached the sky, her wings were spread out and she glide through the sky.

'Woah, she wasn't lying when she said we could get there in a day' Xavier thought in his head as Star was slicing through the air at high speed.

"So this is how it's going to be for days, endless flying" Xavier muttered as he lay down facing upward, it felt like the clouds was in front of his face and he could reach his hand and grab it, but it was still a little higher.

"I can get up there in a day, if only you'll let me" Star spoke in his head.

"This pace is fine, we'll probably reach in two days, and in case you don't know, I'm trying my best just to stick to you, imagine if you go faster"

Xavier glanced through his stats, he knew he was much stronger but he was sure it wasn't enough to defeat who he was going for.

The demon queen wasn't going to be defeated with this alone, even though he was now more skilled with using his sword, and he was better attuned to his spells, and he had a dragon, he still needed more.

The moment he thought of that a rift opened in front of him, it was his inventory but he didn't open it.

Xavier was surprised since he wasn't even thinking of his inventory but then the hilt of his sword came out and then he understood, he grabbed the sword out and his inventory closed.

"Are you scared of something that can be killed when you have me?" Kaan spoke in Xavier's head.

"When I have you? Aren't you a demon same as her?" Xavier asked.

"A demon? You think those things are real demons, you've never seen a real demon before, there's a reason I'm in this form, those demons are what you called inferior creatures, in my true form, they wouldn't be able to move in front of me"

"Not matter how strong you are, you're currently a sword, nothing much you can do about that?"

"I know the demons on this world are inferior creatures but they are much stronger than humans, far stronger...you wouldn't be able to win" Kaan replied.

"You think I can't win...I don't think you know what's at stake, I can't lose, I won't lose"

"You still wouldn't win, but I can make you win if you agree, of course I wouldn't corrupt your soul, but I can't make you much stronger, far stronger than you currently are"

"I'm pretty sure you would like to help me out of the goodness of your heart, but I don't think you have one so I kindly reject your request"

A smirk formed on Xavier's face, there was nothing that would make him accept this request.

Kaan chuckled softly in Xavier's head, "I'll be there if you need me, but before then, try not to die, I wouldn't like to return back there"

"So you do need me, too bad I don't intend to die"

The sound of the wind was steady, brushing past his ears. Star's wings stretched wide as she glided through the skies.

"Don't fall asleep, you'll fall" Star spoke.

"Why would I fall asleep at this height, and besides you'll have no choice but to catch me"
