Lust System: Sword Genius in Women's World
Chapter 184 - 184 Azure
Xavier still couldn't open his eyes as he could feel the wind rushing, but he tried his best and turned his head a little.
The clouds behind them rumbled violently. Xavier risked a glance back, since the wind wasn't directly in his face, he could open his eyes slightly, and he could see the storm had grown enormous.
Dark clouds stretched across the horizon, swallowing the sky, with flashes of lightning twisting inside. The wind from behind began to push harder, almost as if the storm was chasing them, now Xavier could see why Star wanted to avoid it.
'I'm going to go slightly faster, hold on tight,' Star muttered in his ears, and Xavier closed his eyes.
Star began to slowly increase her speed. Even in her dragon dive state, she still wasn't going at full speed. Each increase carried them faster, and soon she was going so fast that even if Xavier opened his eyes, he wouldn't be able to see a thing.
The cold air bit into Xavier's skin, and even though his body was covered in Mana, he could feel the strain but still he held on as tight as he could.
Star was a dragon, so the wind didn't affect her in the slightest; even her eyes were open as she scanned the ocean below for the islands Xavier told her about.
She had traveled the oceans before, but never this far. She had no reason to go this far. Dragons could travel anywhere in the world, but most of them chose to stay close to home.
This was the farthest Star had ever traveled. Right now, if she were in control of her actions, she would shake her body and toss Xavier off her, but she couldn't; only the thought was in her head. She couldn't physically do it.
Xavier had no idea what was happening around him, only that they were going at an insane speed, it remained that way for a while till Star began slowing down.
'The Island is in front of us, should I keep going or stop? If I keep going, we should be able to stay in front of the storm,' Star spoke.
'Stop at the island, I can't stay like this for long, my hands are already shaking and struggling to hold on,' Xavier replied, and now her speed was good enough for Xavier to open his eyes as she began descending.
The island was a chain of islands connected, and they landed on the biggest one. From above, Xavier could see the entire forest on the island.
It wasn't that big, but in front of the forest were large rocks shooting out from the ground, big enough to cover them as the storm passed.
As Star landed, Xavier jumped down, but as soon as his feet touched the ground, he went to the floor using his hands to stop his body from colliding with the ground.
His legs were shaking from the force of Star's dragon dive. Xavier needed a minute before he finally regained control and could stand up.
Xavier could see the storm coming, and he knew it would definitely be hell on this island, but it was better than enduring Star's dragon dive.
"So we're just going to hold on to a rock and hope the wind doesn't blow us away?" Star asked as she had transformed into her humanoid form.
"How is that a bad plan, it's much better than holding onto your back for hours, change back into your dragon form and carve out a small part of this rock, we'll bundle in and I'll block the hole with my shadow, that way it won't affect us" Xavier spoke as he looked around but Star wasn't paying any attention to him.
He turned around and saw her looking at the storm with her eyes wide, her body completely still, her face pale, her jaw dropping slowly, and he immediately knew something was wrong.
"What's wrong?" Xavier asked as he stepped closer, also looking at the clouds that were rolling in, he also noticed it had gotten faster, heading directly towards the island.
Star also didn't answer his question; it was like she was here, but her mind was somewhere else, and then she turned around.
"We have to leave, you need to outrun the storm now," Star spoke, turning back into her dragon form in an Instant.
Xavier wanted to question what was going on, but with the way Star behaved, he would definitely leave it for later.
Star lay down her wings, and Xavier moved towards her, but his eyes glanced above, but it was too late.
*BOOM!!*
From the clouds, lightning shot out towards them, hitting the rocks which Xavier wanted to hide behind. The rock exploded, and the fragments scattered everywhere, hitting both Xavier and Star.
The rock fragments hit Xavier's arm, sending him to the ground, while Star blocked most of them with her wings.
Xavier stood up immediately, his eyes fixed upward as the clouds were starting to clear away in an instant, he was too shocked to ask Star what was going on until a figure finally appeared from behind the clouds, high up in the sky.
"Is that a...dragon?" Xavier asked staring at the sky with a blank expression on his face.
"Yes, at first I thought it was a normal storm, but when we landed, I noticed dragon magic. This is the end... We'll never beat him," Star spoke as she reverted to her humanoid form, standing beside Xavier.
High up in the sky, the dragon flapped its wings. The dark clouds had completely disappeared, leaving just a dark figure staring down at them.
"Do you know him?" Xavier asked.
"The Great sky dragon, Azure" Star muttered.
'Shit...I just got out of hell and this is my first opponent, lightning magic, I'm certain he's stronger than Star, I'm not sure how strong'
"Can you win him in a fight?" Xavier asked.
"Win him in a fight, you said, when he comes here, I'm going to beg him to spare my life, he would obliterate me in battle," Star spoke.
"Sorry to cancel your plans but get ready for battle, we're hunting a sky dragon"
