CHAPTER 769: CHAPTER 257: RECOGNIZING QIN QIN (DOUBLE RELEASE EXPLOSION)_4

Looking at the closed door, Mo Yunchen hooked his lips—today these two little ones seemed rather strange.

Mo Yuchu quietly closed the door, crept up to Mo Yuyan, and whispered in his ear, "Brother, we absolutely can’t let dad find out about sister’s secret."

Mo Yuyan nodded, "We can’t let dad know."

Outside the door, Mo Yunchen lifted the corners of his mouth into a slight smile, his handsome face captivating.

Did these two little ones really think he couldn’t hear them? But what secret were they keeping from him?!

Turning around to head to the study, around eleven o’clock, Mo Yunchen left the study to go to his room, rubbing the slightly sore corners of his eyes.

Entering the room, Mo Yunchen went straight to the walk-in closet. As he opened the wardrobe, a dark expression crossed his face. He looked at the floor, noticing shallow footprints embedding dirt. His gaze then fell on the trench coat within the closet, which showed no signs of disturbance. He turned his attention to the right, where drawers housed scarves and ties. One drawer was slightly ajar, unlike the others which were neatly closed—a detail that only a very observant person would notice.

Had someone entered his room?

Mo Yunchen opened the drawer and found the scarves and ties untouched. After closing it firmly, he turned and entered a small room he had specially set aside. Everything was as he left it; however, he knew someone had been there based on the subtle traces of dirt on the carpet.

Mo Yunchen’s heart was entirely devoted to the items belonging to Qin Qin; he was not the least bit concerned about whether the intruder had come to steal money. In his heart, Qin Qin’s belongings were the true treasures.

Mo Yunchen pressed the internal line button, which was quickly answered. Steward Wei’s voice came through, respectful as always, "Master Mo."

"Someone entered my room this afternoon. Find out who it was."

Steward Wei was still instructing people to tidy up the last of the things when he received the internal call. Shocked, he responded, "Yes, Master Mo."

The audacity of someone to enter Master Mo’s room—it was outrageous. Who would be bold enough to dare such a thing? Had they touched anything? If they dared to tamper with the items the lady left for Master Mo, their fate would undoubtedly be bleak.

"Gather everyone."

Steward Wei spoke to a nearby servant bodyguard, who, surprised by the order, did not dare to ask questions and quickly went to call everyone—including those who had gone to sleep and those on duty—to gather.

Su Qing stood in front of the bed, having a staring contest with the small figure on the bed, Xiao Bai. She sighed helplessly, "Little Fox, what are you doing? You should go back, you’re taking up my bed."

Xiao Bai lay on Su Qing’s bed, fixing her with a pitiful gaze as if to protest being abandoned by Su Qing.

At least, that’s what Su Qing thought. Seeing the little fox, she felt as if she could understand what it was saying—the look in its eyes seemed like a complaint about her.

Noise came from outside; Su Qing’s door was knocked. Glancing at Xiao Bai, she said, "See, someone’s looking for you, so hurry up and get out. You’re not allowed to stay here anymore."

Xiao Bai whined softly, laying its head on the bed, its moist fox eyes looking up at Su Qing.

Another knock came from outside. Before Su Qing could glare at Xiao Bai, a servant’s voice followed, "Lee Yue, hurry up and get out, Steward Wei is calling everyone out."

Gathering everyone?! Su Qing frowned slightly and responded. Once she did, the servant outside left.

"Stay here nicely and don’t go out, do you understand? Otherwise, I won’t bother with you ever again."

Su Qing told the bed’s occupant, Xiao Bai, who seemed to understand, nodding and obediently lying on the bed, watching as Su Qing left before woefully whining and lying there, waiting for her return.

In the main villa’s living room stood fifty to sixty servants and several dozen bodyguards. Over a hundred people stood in the living room, exchanging glances, unsure why Steward Wei had gathered them so suddenly. Could it be something urgent? They hoped it wasn’t bad news.

Su Qing stood at the back of the crowd, listening to the quiet discussions among the servants, silently blending into the group.

"Lee Yue, do you think something bad has happened? Steward Wei looks quite serious," said a concerned servant beside her. Lee Yue glanced at the servant and shook her head.

Calling them all at this late hour—could it be because her identity had been discovered? Or had she been caught entering Mo Yunchen’s room that day?

She carefully considered any slip-ups on her part, her gaze suddenly fixed on a servant’s shoes, her expression tightening.
