"By 2044, 95% of schools were entirely comprised of AI instructors. School, once a place of learning, became a place designed to teach conformity and hold children until they were old enough to be put to work. It was rumored that only the semblance of equality truly kept the public school open."

- Morvarc .H  historian of the twenty-first century

"Only a half-wit would think public schools was ever about education for anyone but the elite. No, public schools are, and have always been, a way to keep the poors complacent, starting young."

- Quin Takimura.

I wake up the next day feeling sated and happy. My teleportation drive finally got fixed, and I have nothing urgent to do, so I can, you know, relax. At least that is what I thought until I open my messages, and see that I have about ten messages, all coming from Sam.

I slowly untangle myself from the mess of limbs and walk out of the room. In the kitchen, I find the red demon eating breakfast while talking to an overexcited kid with green pigtails and plus signs instead of pupils.

“Hey Tina, hey Alia, did you guys stay up the entire night?” I ask, as I grab some kind of muesli bar out of the cupboard.

“No, we did sleep. Thank you for letting me stay in the guestroom,” Alia says.

“No problem. Anyway , I have a small emergency to take care of. So, uhm, there is food in the kitchen, help yourself, and I don’t know, don’t break anything.” I say as I head towards the elevator.

“Do you need help?” Alia asks.

I turn around. "Not really, it's inside the building, so I assume it is going to be a problem with cybersecurity or a software glitch, something like that. I'll call you if violence is necessary, though."

“Wait,” Tina says when I am about to turn around again. She walks up to me and grabs my shirt. “You can’t go out like that. What would people think?”

I smile. “Luckily, I have that sorted as well” I flick my wristband, and a three-piece suit appears around me. “What do you think, better?”

Tina nods. “Yeah, you look much better.”

I smile, get into the elevator, and head to the office floor? Is that what we are calling it? Anyway, the floor is still pretty empty, probably due to the fact that it's still early. I find the computer room, and both Sam and Mio are huddled over one of the screens talking in hushed voices.

I creep up behind them and shout. “What's going on? What's on fire?”

Both of them almost jump out of their skins. I have to do my best not to fall to the floor with laughter.

“Fuck you, asshole.” Sam grumbles out.

“Ah, come on, you two were so focused that I had to do it.” I say, giving them a toothy smile.

Sam sighs, “Just sit down. We have something fun for you.”

I pull up a chair and look at the screen. “This is a sales contract.” I point out, a bit confused.

“Exactly,” Mio says, while excitedly bouncing on her chair.

I look at Sam. “Okay, it’s early. What am I missing?”

Sam smiles. “Etron Tech, a small company selling equipment that was copied from discarded Samurai equipment. Their products are both cheaper and more efficient, making them a fast grower in the market.”

“Okay, so they stole the equipment, and we should get it back.” I conclude.

Sam sighs, “No, I created it with the help of Cierra and some other people.”

“Okay, why? If you wanted to sell stuff, why not do it through PsyCo?” I say, looking over some more details.

“Simple, this is a trap,” Sam points at the screen. "See who is buying it?”

I look at the name and smile. “Gerard Argaria. I didn't realise I'd get to smash his face into the pavement this soon. What's the plan?”

“Simple,” Sam says as she opens some extra tabs on her computer. “Our pretend office is listed here, it's mostly a ghost office, but with some fancy projectors we can make it look real for when they want to tour the place tomorrow.”

“They? Who else is coming?” I ask.

“Gerard insisted on bringing his fiancée since he'll be giving her the company as a wedding gift.” Mio explains in a dramatic tone.

My smile goes even wider. “Okay, so we get them inside and knock them off. What is your plan for cleanup?”

“Simple. I make all traces of the company disappear into the accounts and books of some African companies, and let New Hope try to fight them. They are already bleeding money like crazy; there isn't much they can do.” Sam says, opening the accounts of some other corp.

“This is, wow, good work! And this is supposed to go down tomorrow. That doesn't leave us with much time. We should get ready soon?” I say, getting out of the chair.

Sam springs up quickly, grabbing my shoulder and pushing me back down in my seat. “You have a date today, so you won’t be taking care of anything. Leave that to us.”

“Really, but I'll feel bad if I let you do all the work.” I say.

“See it as a birthday present.” she says with a smile.

“But it isn't my birthday.” I point out.

“No, your birthday was two weeks ago.” Sam says, knocking her shoulder into me.

“Right, fuck! I am twenty now. Should I start saving for retirement now?”

Sam sighs, “Just go to your girl and have a fun date. If we need something from you, we will contact you.”

I nod as I get up and give Sam a hug. "Thank you so much!"

I make my way back to our penthouse using teleportation. Someone is using the elevator, and I don’t feel like waiting. I quickly walk past everyone having breakfast and head into our bedroom, steal some of Cierra's clean clothes and head into the shower. Once I am clean and dressed properly, I head back out into the living room.

“Wow, okay, this is new!” Cierra says.

I blink, looking down at the black pants and white blouse that I am wearing. “I thought that if I stick to black and white, it will look good.”

“That is a good idea, but why are the top buttons of your blouse open.” she asks as she corrects my fit.

“Because that's how you wear it.” I defend myself.

Cierra narrows her eyes. "Are these my clothes?”

“Yes.”

“Honey, you don’t have the tits to wear it like me.” she says,.as she pats my face.

I blush. "I can, Lyssa, please fix.” Suddenly my chest expands, filling out the shirt.

“And that's just sad,” Cierra says. “Here, let me help you look like a cool and mature woman.” She says as she drags me to the bedroom.

After the addition of some jewellery, some hair styling and the careful application of some makeup, Cierra judges me good enough to leave.

When I am about to leave the room, I turn around. “Hey, we should go on a date sometime too.”

Cierra smiles. “Yeah, I would like that. What do you have in mind?”

“Uh I don’t know. I could give you a big-ass gun and let you shoot aliens with it.” I suggest.

Cierra raises an eyebrow. “And you think I would like that?”

I shrug. “I mean, you like Samurai, so I thought you might want to try being one for a while.”

“Keep thinking, smarty pants.” She says as she waves me off.

I nod and leave, setting up a message to be automatically sent to Sam tomorrow asking for date advice again. I walk into the kitchen, where Claire is waiting, as she is having a conversation with Magenta.

I sling an arm around her shoulder. “Are you ready to go?”

Claire giggles. “Yeah I am. What about you? Mom finally approved your outfit?”

I shake my head. “I don’t think my mom would approve of any outfit that doesn't require me to shove a fox tail up my ass.”

Magenta lets out a coughing laugh at that. “Has she tried offering you a thousand points for turning into a fox yet?”

I shake my head. “Not sure really, but I don’t think so.”

Claire looks up at me with sparkling eyes. "Are you going to get fox ears and a tail?”

I grab her nose. “No way in hell. Now we should go.”

Claire nods, and we head to the elevator descending to the garage floor. There I borrow Sam's car since my own is a bit, let’s say, loud.

“So where are you taking me?” Claire asks. "With the way you are dressed I am going to say expensive.”

I pause. “You wanted to go somewhere expensive?”

Claire shakes her head. “Not particularity. I mean, if I really wanted to, I would ask Cierra to take me. She knows these kinds of places better. I am just curious where you are going to take me.”

“I… well, Sam and I thought it would be fun to go out in the university district, since that's where you will be going soon, right? Get a feel for the atmosphere.”

Claire flashes me a bright smile. “Oh, that actually sounds like fun."

So with my plan approved, we head off in the direction of the university district. Honestly, it is just three Uni’s set up in a semi-triangle with dorms and some shops and bars in between. But the atmosphere is great, and Claire and I have a great time bar hopping for a while, trying different drinks and party games. And yes, both our aims still suck. But we make friends with some of the local students and join them as well.

It is at bar number four, or is it five, when I am off at the bar to get some drink,s kind of out of earshot of the rest, but not really since I am listening in using Claires AUG’s. Don’t worry I asked for permission. Anyway, the conversation becomes kind of interesting.

“So who is the hot chick that's with you? Your sister?” one guy asks Claire.

Claire laughs loudly. “No, she isn't my sister; she's my girlfriend.”

“What, really?” one of the girls speaks up, then leans in to whisper in Claire’s ear. “Is it a sugar mama situation?”

Claire laughs even louder. “No, definitely not. Evelin is poor.”

Well, that's harsh. It might be true that I don’t have many credits, but I can also just magic them into my bank account whenever I wish, so there was really no need for it so far.

“Oh, but her clothes look expensive.” One of the students points out.

“Ah, that is because she is borrowing clothes from… my other girlfriend.”

“You have two girlfriends?” one of the guys asks.

“Three actually,” I cut in as I put the tray of drinks down and plop myself down next to Claire.

“And you are, like, not jealous?” one of the girls asks me.

I shrug. "Why would I care? More hot girls to fool around with is a win in my books”

Some of the guys cheer and give me high fives while the rest drink their drinks. Once our group leaves the bar, I can pick up a little snippet of a conversation in the back between one of the girls and Claire.

“So how did you do it?” the girl asks.

“Do what?” Claire asks, confused.

“Seduce so many girls,” the girl continues.

“Not really sure, I was just confident and did what I wanted and somehow succeeded.”

That, and Claire is really pretty, so that helped too.
