CHAPTER 106: BEGGING LOOK DOESN’T SUIT YOU

"What happened?" Ronan saw Leia staring at him in confusion.

"Nothing. I-I have to go inside," Leia said while stuttering. She rose to her feet and hastily walked away.

"Wait! Don’t walk too fast," Ronan said, appearing right next to her. As he held her hand, she jolted, feeling a strange sensation passing through her entire body.

The beats of her heart were not steady anymore.

’He is my mate,’ Leia finally thought, feeling the ground beneath her was moving. In the presence of his pheromones, she couldn’t think of anything. Her mind had blocked suddenly.

And finally, she could recognize that scent of pheromones that was radiating from Ronan.

’Rich caramel apple tart-like scent. It feels so tempting and sweet.’ She clutched the edge of her skirt, swallowing the lump forming in her throat.

Then, she slowly stopped when Ronan tilted his head back.

"Why did you stop?" Ronan asked, turning to her. He found her cheeks looked red, which was unusual. "Are you alright?" As he touched her cheek with the back of his palm, Leia caught his hand.

Her own pheromones started leaking out of her body. Being closer to her heat cycle, she didn’t realize what she was doing. Her eyes changed into an ocean blue the moment they met with Ronan’s.

"Leia, what are you..." Ronan couldn’t finish his words when Leia pressed her finger on his lips.

"I feel strange around you. Your touch, your scent... It’s driving me crazy," Leia whispered and hugged him, "but I like it, Ronan." Her head rested on his chest, her hands moving to his waist as she slowly locked them behind his back.

Ronan brought his hands to her shoulders. "My scent?" he asked.

"It’s sweet like caramel and the richness of apples," Leia murmured. She took his hand and brought it to her face again, her lips touching his palm. The usual self-controlled in Leia had gone. It was completely replaced by the omega’s identity she held.

Ronan, however, stays composed.

"Leia, I’ll take you to your room." He gently scooped her up in his arms. He made haste and walked inside the mansion, straight to her room.

Once they were there, Ronan made her lie on the bed, but she refused to let go of her arms around her neck.

"Please... I want you."

"Do you even know what you’re saying?" Ronan, this time, pulled away with a much greater force. He looked at her flushed face, and it seemed she was begging him to take.

"Kieran said you’d be entering your heat soon," he murmured.

"Yeah. I’m in heat. And your pheromones are so relaxing that I want you by my side," Leia said, smiling brightly.

’Does she even know how infectious her smile is? How easy it is for an alpha to lose control in front of an omega?’ he thought.

"You’ll start hating me if I force myself upon you," said Ronan, pulling away. "I’ll find suppressants for you," he added, ready to head outside.

Leia’s body was aching for his touch. And when he placed a certain distance between them, she felt as if something precious had been taken away from her.

"I don’t want to sleep or take suppressants. Rhea said they have side effects in the long term. She said it’s better to do it with an alpha." Leia had now sat up, her knees folding to one of her sides.

"You’ve really lost it!" Ronan chuckled, his hand instinctively flying to his hair. "This begging look doesn’t suit you, Leia. But to make sure you come to your senses, I can give you a little taste of what an alpha desires from an omega."

Ronan leaned down, his knee pressing on the mattress while his hand moved to her nape.

Leia’s eyes shut the moment his lips captured hers. The richness of his scent increased manifold, and her hand moved to the back of his head.

He tilted her head a little, making her part her lips and thrust his hot tongue inside her mouth. He had completely lowered himself and slowly rested his hand on her thigh.

Leia shifted a little, wanting to pull away to breathe. Sensing that, he withdrew first, giving her a short moment to breathe.

"Feel better?" he asked. "I don’t want to go beyond that. You may complain about it later."

"I won’t," Leia whispered. She guided his hand, which rested on her thigh, to her chest. "Please touch me. I told you I desire you." Her eyes moved to his lips, then she lowered them.

"Do you want my mark? Be my mate, and I’ll do whatever you desire," Ronan put forward his condition.

"Mark," Leia murmured and suddenly recalled Lucien. His scent, she put a little pressure on her head, recalling what it felt like. It was warm and spicy, smelled like cinnamon rolls, but there was a softness too... Like vanilla.

She recalled his words and the commitment behind those.

’I want to mark you here.’

As she thought about it in Lucien’s voice, her hand let go of Ronan’s and rested on her neck.

"No. Mark is a big thing. Lucien... Wants to mark me," Leia mumbled.

"What?" Ronan exclaimed in a bitter chuckle. He shouldn’t feel jealous, but for some reason, that feeling occupied his head. Why would Lucien mark her first?

"Leia," Ronan whispered her name.

"Huh?"

She felt his lips touching her chin when his fingers gently grazed over the curve of her breast.

"Wait, Ronan," she finally said.

Ronan halted, his eyes locking with hers. "What now? Are you in your senses after just one kiss? Weren’t you begging me earlier to please you? You wanted me to touch you," he stated, his voice suddenly carrying the hurt.

When Leia talked about his scent, he thought he was her mate. But now, his mood was spoiled. Indeed, he agreed with Lucien to share the last she-wolf. But now, the jealousy was taking over his head and even his pride.

"I think I should wash my face. Maybe I’ll feel better," Leia said, turning away and stepping out of bed. "Kieran mentioned he has arranged suppressents for me. If you can bring it for me, I’ll appreciate it."
